| 1 week 2 days ago | I went to that one! |
Man was that a good time. I also saw Earthquake! in the Natural Caverns, went to the Deliverance sleepover in the woods, saw Big Lebowski in a bowling alley, etc. There is no better place to watch -- and experience -- a movie than at the Alamo Drafthouse. The owner is friends with Quentin Tarantino and he used to come by to preview his movies there and hang out for hours. Same with Robert Rodriquez. I really miss living in Austin... |
| 6 weeks 1 day ago | Yep, that was as clean a |
Yep, that was as clean a block as can be. But the calls in this game were so crazy and erratic. Still, find it hard to believe they called a foul on that one. |
| 6 weeks 1 day ago | I on the other hand am |
I on the other hand am drunk. However, we did lose. As much as it sucks to admit, we lost. Life goes on. We had our chances but missed foul shots and loose defense, etc. It totally sucks, but there is nothing we can do about it. I love this team for the fact that they even got this far. That is all. |
| 6 weeks 1 day ago | That is awesome |
The fact that Matt Damon actually went along with that, pure win. |
| 8 weeks 4 days ago | I'm down here in Atlanta |
If they continue to play like they did today, very good chances they'll be coming to my 'hood soon. |
| 15 weeks 10 hours ago | Great class, great day. No |
Great class, great day. No drama. And a QB for the 2014 class to boot. Hoke uber alles. |
| 15 weeks 5 days ago | You must have gone to |
You must have gone to McIntosh. Not a football powerhouse at all, but lots of great schools in the surrounding area (Sandy Creek, Starrs Mill). I currently live in PTC. |

I am so happy you made the robo-kid gif, that is awesome. |
| 16 weeks 4 hours ago | This can't be true... there |
This can't be true... there is no speed up north. Why would any of these schools want to visit a slow Midwest receiver when there is all that speed flying around the south? /s (obviously) |
| 16 weeks 1 day ago | No, you're not alone there |
The whole thing seems odd to me. And sounds very expensive. |
| 16 weeks 1 day ago | Maybe it's just me, but it |
Maybe it's just me, but it certainly seems like it is always the refs fault when they lose. I mean, ask the football team and they'll tell you only the black & white stripes beat them. They are just plain sore losers, which unfortunately for them only further reinforces their whole little brother image. |
| 16 weeks 2 days ago | Agreed |
We had a few moments and some good players here and there over the past 15 - 20 years, but it really is great to put all that behind us and move forward. This feels almost as good a validation as when we finally beat OSU last season in football. In football and basketball, we are definitely moving in the right direction. Too busy smiling to talk. |
| 16 weeks 2 days ago | Could you imagine getting 4 |
Could you imagine getting 4 or 5 guys like this a year like USC / Alabama do with regularity? I think we're getting there though... definitely headed in the right direction. |
| 16 weeks 2 days ago | GIF |
I have absolutely no ability to make a GIF, but that Illini kid with the popcorn bucket on his head dancing like a robot would be a gem... |

Very nice rundown by Magnus. And very encouraging. |
| 16 weeks 5 days ago | I don't know if he ever had |
I don't know if he ever had interest or not (probably not), but a guy I think who would have been great to have is David Robinson. One of the best players ever and a true class act. |

I wouldn't mind Jesse Owens or Jack Nicklaus. |
| 17 weeks 1 day ago | Jamal Crawford |
Always wished he stayed longer... |
| 17 weeks 1 day ago | Isn't the third or fourth |
Isn't the third or fourth time this particular rumor has come out over the past several months. I feel like you can almost time it with the phases of the moon as in: it's a full moon, commence Ty Isaac decommitment rumor. |
| 17 weeks 1 day ago | I don't know... I think top |
I don't know... I think top tier Big 10 program should be a plus over SEC middling program / doormat (except for rare occassions). |
| 17 weeks 1 day ago | I'm guessing the school that |
I'm guessing the school that they ultimately chose also would discourage them from doing this as they wouldn't want their player embroiled in this and also people would get suspicious of them as well. |
| 17 weeks 1 day ago | I think it should be standard |
I think it should be standard for a top-tier recruit to refer to themselves in the third person. Beyond that, I would arrange it so that coaches coming to visit me all had to come at the same time and do their pitch in front of each other to my family and friends -- shark-tank style. For the reporters that are truly annoying, I would simply keep making arrangements to talk at various inconvient times / places and then cancel last minute as "something came up." Hopefully after 6 times or so they will get the message. For the fans, man I have to think they already have this covered. What more could they do? Get tatoos of their school and then de-commit to their chief rival? Check. Declare academics are the most important thing and then commit to a crappy school with no academics? Check. Say distance is not a factor and then commit to their local school? Check. I don't know, if we want something novel, how about telling fans of a particular school know when you are taking an official and then announce plans to spend an hour of it doing some sort of local community service and that they are welcome to join you -- do this for real and see who shows up. |
| 17 weeks 2 days ago | I actually don't get your response |
He is the all-time leader in rushing yards by a quarterback in NCAA history. That's a pretty major accomplishment. I'm pretty sure most fan-bases at other schools would be able to recognize that for what it is -- a big deal. Even more, he also by all accounts appears to be a very good kid. He may not have been the best passer, but he sure as hell is one of the best players we've ever had at Michigan. And to say we're better off without him is crazy. Look at how versatile he was in those last few games and just imagine how awesome it would be to have another season of him providing that x-factor for us. We have no proven home-run threats on the team without him. |
| 17 weeks 4 days ago | i think gardner and ryan will |
i think gardner and ryan will be captains of team 135. I just get the feeling (no evidence to support this that I'm aware of though) that Hoke wants guys in their final year. |
| 17 weeks 5 days ago | that's my vote as well -- all |
that's my vote as well -- all players in their final season. |
| 17 weeks 5 days ago | hats off for lefty kickers! |
hats off for lefty kickers! welcome aboard. |
| 17 weeks 5 days ago | Your scenario does seem |
Your scenario does seem plausible. And that's also why it sucks even more that we lost to them. Had Michigan won, this story would have died down and never got to the point where it got so overly overblown and played up. Damn, it is our fault. |
| 17 weeks 5 days ago | I'm pretty sure sociopaths |
I'm pretty sure sociopaths have the ability to beat polygraphs -- they simply believe that the reality they fabricated is true because it is what they want to be. Or something like that. I'm not a shrink, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn. |
| 17 weeks 5 days ago | now, I don't know all the |
now, I don't know all the details around it, but I'm pretty sure they did raise money at one point in this... not sure they collected the money on behalf of and who it went to though. |
