Wyatt Shallman Departs
January 19th, 2017 at 4:04 PM ^
I wish him the best. Any rumblings about where he will end up?
January 19th, 2017 at 5:22 PM ^
Rumblings? Be careful, Toby. Some mods keep a watchful eye. Wyatt certainly isn't in the toilet. It would have helped his career if he was able to run free and fast and loose.

you got your points back. Nice! Glad you're feeling better.

David Dawson was following a bunch of ISU coaches weeks before his announcement.
Some of his new follows are Wyoming, Arizona, Washington St, Miami (OH), & GVSU.

You've got your degree in hand and get to play football for another year. If you don't feel like getting an actual master's degree, you can pick somewhere that sounds fun, have a blast for a year playing football and having fun, and then enter the workforce afterward.
Frankly, after 4 years of Ann Arbor winters, I might go look into something like SDSU, Miami, Hawaii, etc. and just have fun for a year

Once he cut his hair . . . there had been hope!

He was part of the biggest recruiting committing weekend of all time. Or however you want to describe it.
January 19th, 2017 at 5:27 PM ^
Ah yes, I remember it well - I don't recall the precise numbers, but I remember the date well. For a few hours there, it seemed as if entire counties were commiting to Michigan. Of course, getting onto this site was nearly impossible for about 12 hours, but what else is new?
In any case, I wish Shallman nothing but the best wherever he ends up.

Maybe he's leaving because he couldn't find anyone on campus to pet his wallaby?

I was always dissapointed he never became a contributer at RB or FB for Michigan. He reminded me of Jerome Bettis just with how hard he ran and the bruiser back that he was in High School, obviously not as talented as the Bus. Good luck to him.
January 19th, 2017 at 4:15 PM ^
Grittier than Bettis tho, you gotta admit.

Not quite the physical specimen that Bettis was but shows way more moxie.

Off-topic, but I read your signature link. Found this gem
The Morris controversy is fading as the media moves on to the next shiny object
Yeah, leaving a concussed player in a game, and taking an entire weekend to admit the screw-up was just "the media"
Man, the end of the Hoke years sure brought the stupid out in a lot of people

NFL Hall of Famer Jerome Bettis?
Yea, pretty much exactly like him...

If you would have read my entire comment you would of saw I said "Obviously not as talented as the Bus." I was comparing Shallman's style of running as being similar to the Bettis, not his talent.

Again, I'm not saying they are even close to being comparable in talent level because they aren't, I'm merely refrencing the style with which both men ran the ball when they were in high school. That's it, the Bus is obviously one of the best RB's the game has seen and Shallman was moved to LB at Michigan because he's not.
That's all I'm saying, I don't understand this notion that a player's style can't be compared to an all-time great if they aren't good. I'm not comparing their talent levels, just how they ran the ball. Why is that such a no-no for people?

He was making a white guy joke. I rather enjoyed it.

Thought maybe you'd like to kick it some time. Netflix and chill?

It's only fitting that Shallman announces the end of his Michigan career the same week that Vine ended. Best of luck, Wyatt. I hope you get to mash people elsewhere!

No. He wasn't going to play tailback, and he didn't really want to play anywhere else. The injuries were kind of a secondary factor.
January 19th, 2017 at 4:13 PM ^
Hope he finds a great landing spot and glad he's leaving with a degree. Best of luck to him.

for commitment to Michigan. Congratulations on your degree and good luck where every you may wind up at.....

Glad to see he was allowed to stay to get degree. I see over at eleven idiots that there all about meyer oversigning and forcing kids to transfer after two years if they have not produced. Meyer and that program are complete garbage. He does not belong in the college game, but really saban doesn't either. Ya he's happy when they make it to the pro's because it helps recruiting. I highly doubt he gives to flying fucks about how a transfers doing. That whole website talking about kids they need to force out so they can get more recruits and make 85. Meyer and fanbase= dogshit.
