Wangler named MVP, Furbush leaves game in Team MI's 27-14 win over OH

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

Pretty good game today down at Findlay.

Team Michigan beat Team Ohio pretty good, 27-14. It was 24-7 most of the game until a late TD run by ohio signee Davon Anderson pulled them within 10.

Jared Wangler was named Defensive MVP for Team Michigan.

Noah Furbush left the game holding his shoulder in the 3rd quarter and did not come back in the game.

1.  Happy to see Michigan beat Ohio

2.  Wangler might be better than I thought.  I originally thought he was a token legacy.

3.  I hope Noah Furbush's injury isn't anything serious

you did call him a "token legacy". That statement doesn't exactly sound like you thought much of him. Having a friend who's son played JV last year at DLS I've heard nothing but gray things about Jared. Not just on he field but off the field too. Helping younger players (including JV guys) and the like. I personally think Jared will turn out to be a solidvplayer for us.

You realize in between amazing and sucks, is special teams/always second on the depth charts/gets to play the second half versus cupcakes kind of guys right?  Guys who neither suck nor are amazing.

1) Ohio sucks

2) I originally thought Wangler's name was 'Wrangler' and his family owned a jeans empire.  Wasn't until recently I realized his name had 'wang' in it.  I then proceded to giggle.

3) Furbush's name is still Furbush, which,I mean...Furbush kind of speaks for itself.  Also I hope his shoulder is OK.

From what I've seen on Twitter, it doesn't sound like Furbush's injury is that serious. He said afterward it just "needs rest."

At least one person thought Furbush was playing well before the injury:

Of high school football game is played in June, after kids graduate? I don't understand, but I'm sure it makes sense somehow. I'm also sure someone makes money off it
