|1 hour 35 min ago||I mean, it wouldn't be THAT crazy||
It would be crazy, but more like "Ex-Girlfriend" crazy, not "Charles Manson" crazy.
But, yeah: this feels like the baseline for any "Harbaugh-coached QB with experience."
|3 hours 25 min ago||Not that I think that Cal is some genius||
but that team is basically two Super-Duper star front court players, a solid (but injury prone) PG (That happens to be a free agent), and hot garbage. I wouldn't want to touch that job unless they could bring in a really smart GM, because this team needs LOADS of work.

that, even though Chicago stopped playing Football long before I was born, I kinda wish they were still in the Big 10? Like, I almost feel nostalgia for it.

This movie is going to just be awful, right?
|3 days 5 hours ago||No kidding||
I actually half-suspect he is some mentally-ill homeless person that they caught screaming at their players and Saban just said, "You know what? Put a Bama shirt on him, toss him some protien bars every day, and call him Coach."
|3 days 5 hours ago||I hadn't seen Harbaugh's tweet||
but that hash tag almost made me spit out my coffee this morning.

Feels like Self-Fellatio might be illegal in the south.
|4 days 5 hours ago||The best defense against this||
(which doesn't really need defending): Gwen Bush and Chris Partridge.
Gwen Bush was the mother of an incomming senior transfer, whose hiring looked like a cheesy way to convince him to come.
Years later, Gwen Bush is KILLING it as "Team Mom," helping to take care of the team and talk with the parents of potential recruits.
Chris Partridge was hired (if you believe the press) just because of his ties to Jabrill, Rashan Gary, and the Paramus program. Oddly enough, the Linebacker corps played much, much better in his first year, while he was very instrumental in recruting players who aren't from New Jersey.
Maybe, just maybe, Jim Harbaugh wouldn't burn an open position on someone just because their son is a good recriut.
In fact, if I had to guess, I would say that Harbaugh was looking into his son and said, "Holy hell, how is that guy a high school coach? He should be a college coach somewhere." And then, you know, hired him.

That was really well done.

EXCEPT bleacher report. There is nothing worse on the internet (non-illegal division) than the "slideshow" approach.

Are we sure he's, you know, not an ACTUAL troll?
|6 days 5 hours ago||I mean||
Why not start with something easy-- like a $500- $1Kmonthly stipend for the players?
Is that enough? (****Understatment Alert****) Probably not. But it's a heck of a lot better-- and much more likely to pass by the guys writing checks -- than "Cheap healthcare for life," or "Unleash the bagmen."
If players could profit from their own likeness and get a $500 check per month, it would go a long, long way towards covering the gap.

It wouldn't catch everyone. Me and my sisters grew up relatively normal despite being abused and growing up in foster homes for large swaths of our childhood; I have seen other kids (with stronger support systems) absolutly destroy their lives. It's a burden, and there is something innate that lets some of us be relatively normal. While Counciling certainly helps and is a critical component, a lot of kids I knew can flat-out fool even seasoned professionals.
|6 days 22 hours ago||As a person that was molested as a kid||
This is just sad. It's hard to even be angry at this point. While I don't personally have any major issues after growing up, by virtue of being in the system I saw what this stuff does to kids. I saw kids get chewed up from the inside because of what happened-- even with relatively good support and care.
I have to imagine what happened to him when he was a kid played a role, and the fact that he "paid it forward" is just a tragedy.
|6 days 22 hours ago||Not to mention||
He's been telling recruits that he's going to run more spread concepts.

Go Bill Snyder. Without asking, I can assure you this is my wife's favorite coach (she takes care of gariatric former nuclear workers for a living and loves every minute minute of it). This shows me the guy is grounded:
I think the people will forgive you, Coach.

If anyone can affect the outcome of a contest, it's Mr. Putin.
|1 week 2 days ago||You know what would be super fun?||
To watch a baseball game (preferably little league) between teams coached by Harbaugh and Hutch. Holy hamburgers, I want this to happen in like the worst way.

If anything, this is META.
Secondly, I think it might be nice to post a reminder about these rules, as it might make the job easier for the Moms.
Thirdly, If you are among those who mistook Brian's frustrations (vented on TWITTER) about certain recent events as a signal to loosen your standards on this subject, I have two very strong words for you: tisk, tisk.
|1 week 3 days ago||Yeah...||
Actually, that's EXACTLY what "Soothsayer" means. Sooth comes from the Old English word "soþ" which means truth. Even in Shakespeare, the word "Sooth" is exchangable with the word "Truth."
|1 week 4 days ago||I have been a proponent of cord cutting||
But when my wife and I did the math, we realized that not just having Comcast only saved us about 5 bucks. For us, the Internet packacge we need is 80 bucks, and we pay $110 Dollars a month for the Digital Basic and internet package combined. That 30 extra bucks is probably less that we would pay for streaming services actually.
Now, if we lived 10 miles to the south, we could use another, cheaper ISP. However, Comcast was the only internet availiable to us (the only other ISP availible to us in Paducah F*cking Kentucky could only do 10 MBPS, which won't cut it when I have to work from home), just going with Comcast was a no-brainer-- especially with a toddler running around.

Why hasn't Trey Burke been better in the NBA? I mean, I never thought he'd be Chris Paul, but I thought he could eventually become a taller Ty Lawson with better 3pt shooting. But he hasn't been good at all in the NBA. Why not?

|2 weeks 19 min ago||Right. Next year, he will be a senior.||
The list above was talking about 2018 returnees.
|2 weeks 40 min ago||Calm down about this man||
What he said is probably eventually correct. Running two buisnesses at the same time that do the same thing makes no damn sense. He probably had to come out and say something like this because you don't want employees looking over their shoulder, thinking they might have their job taken from someone else.
Making a logical conclusion based on evidence doesn't make him "Full of shit." Sam will probably move over. What is the problem with that?
|2 weeks 1 hour ago||This is pretty tough to project||
But, bottom line, we need
1. Offensive Tackles (2-3)
2. Tight Ends (2-3)
3. Other Offenive Lineman (2)
4. QB Du Juour (1)
That's already half the class once you add a few WR/RBs. Luckily, we can really concentrate on Offensive line and TE, since we don't nessecarily need a 5* to come in right away anywhere else (and because Harbaugh can get in the door with ANY QB).
It wouldn't surprise me if we take a "Nick Eubanks" approach to RB/WR: Just find a really talented but raw athlete and see if you can't get lucky.
|2 weeks 1 hour ago||I married into a Tennessee Family||
And they aren't sold on Butch being around past next year. Too many red flags for off the field stuff, absolutely minimal progress toward beating Alabama, and a bunch of cheesy BS that makes it all worse. If he hadn't beat Florida this year, Butch's seat would have been much, much warmer than it is.
Having said all of that, they actually have a lot going for them. Lots of juniors and seniors, and their defense had loads of injuries last year. If they can find a QB and a pass rush-- Hello, Mr. Hoke-- they could be a 10 win squad next year, especially in the SEC East.
But if they don't win at least 2 from their 4 toughest games (Georgia, Florida, LSU, and Alabama), dollars to donuts Butch Jones could be looking for a job (unless their only win is at Bamahahahaha).
|2 weeks 5 hours ago||OH MY GOD||
How have I never made the connection between Willy Wonka and Harbaugh before? It's such a perfect comparison-- especially when you realize that, after all the crazy showmanship is done, he really is a nice guy that wants to see Charlie Bucket come into his own.
