Yeah, this pick came in as soon as it was announced that Harbaugh was coming back. I think this pick was made in an attempt to get in front of the pack thinking Harbaugh's status was all that was keeping a commitment from happening rather than some inside info that was was about to commit. So I'm not getting too excited yet. I think the tea leaves say that NIL could be a holdup. The pay-to-play vs Michigan's pay-to-stay philosophy.

I try not to get excited about this stuff...but if UM starts stacking up elite quaterbacks one after the other this thing can sustain. It's been the missing piece this whole time. Yes, there were other issues but for a school like UM that may not recruit like bama across the board, you have to have the elite playcaller.

Don't underestimate the impact of having an OL factory going. It was so automatic for so many years, then it disappeared for a long time, but now it's back. It's a foundation for the offense, and it's not necessarily easy to do (see Penn State).

This is what always confused me about LSU for almost 20 years before Burrow. From 2000 - 2018 they ALWAYS had a good offensive line and were loaded with NFL Talent at WR, but the best QB they could get was... 1 pretty season from JaMarcus Russell and Matt Flynn. If they even had ONE blue-chip, three-year starter during that time they could have had at least two more National Championships.

So JH just stopped in to see Raiola to let Davis know that he isn't the only QB in play.... all the sudden another ball drops? (typically you can only drop two... if you drop any more than that a trip to the urologist is in order)
