We really have to stop with…

We really have to stop with the idea that they were unlucky in the previous seasons. They performed bad in close games consistently because they were bad. They collapsed multiple times in the second half, it's not like they were losing off buzzer beaters or anything.

Also the idea that Terrance Shannon is LeBron and was the cure for everything is just crazy to me. The previously teams were talented, but they had awful roster construction and awful coaching. They were talented enough to win. This year's team is awful construction-wise and not very talented.

It was shocking that people thought this team would be better simply because they didn't like Dickinson's personality.

I know we all have to…

I know we all have to support the players and whatnot. They should get their money and good for them. It definitely has made the sports worse though. NIL and the transfer portal make it way worse as a fan and I know that's not popular to say.

I'm going to miss him so…

I'm going to miss him so much.

The blew a lead to them last…

The blew a lead to them last season for their first loss. I think Rutgers has won 3 or the last 4 or at least the last 2.

Please just fire Howard and…

Please just fire Howard and move on. This program is in the gutter with no hope on the horizon unless you dump Howard.

It's impressive how awful…

It's impressive how awful this team is.

Crazy to have a team full of…

Crazy to have a team full of forwards and losing one and not having any depth to replace the injured forwards.

Sucks for him, he was a good addition and played well.

Zeke was one of my favorite…

Zeke was one of my favorite recruits in his class. I really hope he just arrives this year and he's a future 1st round pick like I thought he would be.

This probably raises the…

This probably raises the floor of our QB room to maybe average in the B1G. I'm still worried our offense will be incredibly pedestrian, but at least I don't think we'll get bad QB in Tuttle.

What's right? Where are you…

What's right? Where are you stopping OSU from tampering and buying recruits? Where are you with other teams sharing stolen signals?

He's such a piece of shit. The right thing for the conference was trying to sabotage your best chance at a title for what, so Ohio State can do it, so Penn State can piss down their leg like they always do?

I truly hope people chant fuck Pettiti every time he's in public.

They're not family, they're…

They're not family, they're a shit business partner who really needs you to run the business.

Fuck you Tony, fuck you.

Fuck you Tony, fuck you.

Carried your shit conference on our backs while you stabbed us. Michigan should be trying to sabotage everyone constantly.

Also weird how we didn't hear from you after the B1G or after the national title. You shut up then, shut up now.

Seems like a good hire. The…

Seems like a good hire. The position coach hires seem solid, even though I'm still not very pleased with the DC hire. Hopefully these guys are good recruiters and elite developers and can hang around a few years.

Impressive, hopefully they…

Impressive, hopefully they all get drafted. As others have said, that's a ton of talent to lose at once.

Seems like a good hire…

Seems like a good hire. Cincy had some good talent on D when he was there and working with the Jets is good too since they have a good DL and defense.

No he didn't, he a LB coach…

No he didn't, he a LB coach and assistant LB coach that were fired, the rest of the staff for the Giants stayed.

Moore shouldn't have the job…

Moore shouldn't have the job if he can't maintain the level of the program, if you're giving him 4/5 years to build the program, you hire an actual experienced HC to build their program. Moore was hired for continuity, so if he can't continue what was going, you get rid of him.

It's literally the only…

It's literally the only reason he was hired. He was not some elite OC that a bunch of programs were going after. He was hired purely for continuity and I guess because everyone assumed Minter would leave.

It's disappointing that we won a national title and are seemingly headed towards a steep decline immediately after. The schedule is brutal next year and the after everyone on defense will be gone, so it just doesn't seem like a good start.

He could still become the HC…

He could still become the HC of an NFL team after being the HC of a college. I personally would have rather Minter than Moore but I dislike both the scenarios.

I would have rather at least gotten the better coach with the more impressive unit and the defensive coaches were also the best recruiters on the team. Moore was an ok OC, but offense was never anything crazy, I know advanced stats had them top 20, but everyone saw them just shut down for multiple quarters at a time. There's a reason no one on offense has been poached and the defense has been raided.

The staff has been downgraded big time and that was our calling card.

I'll be shocked if Moore is…

I'll be shocked if Moore is successful here and especially since he's pretty much bringing in a whole new staff. I don't think he keeps his job only winning 8/9 games a year.

His defense fell off and the…

His defense fell off and the NFL didn't want him because he tried to sabotage a head coach. I'm sure his defense will be fine next year because of the players on it, but his NFL defenses were below average the last few years and there's a reason no one there hired him to be a DC.

Shockingly, he was not the…

Shockingly, he was not the problem and losing him was a negative. It was insane to me that people thought losing him and 2 NBA draft picks would somehow make us better for "culture" reasons.

Well seeing as how we lost…

Well seeing as how we lost our best recruiter, I don't think we should expect to beat out those teams.

Harbaugh is such an asshole…

Harbaugh is such an asshole man. You've taken all the best parts of the program and leaving us with nothing.

We're going to fall off a cliff next year. It just seems we'll be like Auburn or LSU after their titles and just fade into the land of meh.

Once again, he had talent in…

Once again, he had talent in NY. The Giants had a losing record because their QBs got hurt and they had the worse OL in football.

He had an All Pro on the DL, Bobby Okereke is one of the better LBs in the league, Xavier McKinney is one of the better safeties in the league, Thibs had more sacks this year than most DLs have in Wink's defenses historically. Adoree Jackson is a solid corner, Tae Banks was solid for a rookie.

Talent wasn't the issue.

That's all he has ever run,…

That's all he has ever run, so why would he not do that now? If he wasn't willing to switch up in the NFL with more parity and coaching being a bigger deal, why would he switch it up in college where he probably thinks he's smarter than everyone in college too?

This is a bad hire.

He is…

This is a bad hire.

He is another blitz heavy, man to man guy like Don Brown that OSU and probably even a Texas/USC will exploit. He was ok with the Giants and clearly had personality issues there with the whole trying to undermine the coach. He never tried to adapt or just change his style, he just committed more to his style even though it wasn't working.

He is not going to recruit, he's going to bring his position coaches in who were fired by the Giants and they'll leave in a year or 2 with him and they probably won't be very good recruiters either. I see more negatives than positives.

It says something when a NFL coach of 20 years, who wants to be in the NFL, cannot get a job in the NFL, especially with so many openings this year.

Yes he coached the Ravens, but MacDonald and Minter were clearly more innovative play callers and just better DCs at this point. I understand they worked for him at one point, but sometimes you just get old and people pass you by.

I don't think this year is going to go well and the defense will fall off to very good, but not elite and it'll show against OSU. The offense will be underwhelming and the defense will take a step back due to worse coaching. This has just been an absolute tire fire of an offseason.

Well that's a win, he does a…

Well that's a win, he does a great with the secondary.

Dexter Lawrence was All Pro,…

Dexter Lawrence was All Pro, Bobby Okereke is very good, Thibs was pretty good, Xavier McKinney is one of the better safeties in the league.

God I hope this isn't true…

God I hope this isn't true. This offseason fucking sucks.

Daboll is pretty popular in…

Daboll is pretty popular in NY and most people side with him on Wink. You can say the had BS wins, then they also had BS losses and could have won another 9 games this year. They're rebuilding, so acting like they need to be the 49ers is crazy.

They didn't fire Wink, he resigned, Daboll only fired the 2 assistants. If you want to say he was forced to resign, sure, but then the Ravens also forced him to resign so that's not the best look.

They had a bottom 5 offense,…

They had a bottom 5 offense, so that's not saying much.

He parted ways with the…

He parted ways with the Ravens and Giants, because he was stuck in his ways and also didn't get along too well with people.

No way, he was the Giants DC…

No way, he was the Giants DC and he lives and dies by the blitz like Don Brown. He also tried to sabotage the HC because he felt like he should have more power.

Awesome. We lost all our…

Awesome. We lost all our best coaches and recruiters. Next year is going to be a humbling experience and it's going to suck.

I just don't have any faith in Moore being better than mediocre next year.

I mean they gave him the job…

I mean they gave him the job without even interviewing another person, that's a good amount of support. If he wasn't at Michigan already, his name would have never even been mentioned as a candidate since he has no HC experience.

So much for continuity.

I…

So much for continuity.

I feel like it also says something that no one on offense is being taken.

To be fair, he's kept the…

To be fair, he's kept the offensive side together, which was always great, never had multiple quarters of doing nothing but running into a brick wall. The defense always leaned on them to get out of games, so small blessing there.

I mean Alabama hired a staff…

I mean Alabama hired a staff pretty quickly and got a pretty damn good coach while we're taking a big risk. Also it seems rumors a lot of time seem to be true, so I think it's very possible a lot of these are true as well. Rumors of Jay, Minter and Herbert leaving were true, rumors of Kirk Campbell and Grant Newsome getting promoted were also true. It just seems weird that Michigan hasn't hired anyone, just promoted 2 guys and is at risk of losing more coaches.

Your point about building for the future and not just next year, I agree with, and it's one reason I wasn't a fan of hiring Moore. He seems to have been chosen purely because the players like him and he would keep the team and culture together. Well he's losing all those coaches so that really hurts and he may lose players (mostly on defense, which is the elite part of the team since the offense was gutted).

If you're focusing on giving yourself the best chance for the future, you tell Harbaugh to shit or get off the pot so you can make the best hire. You make Moore the interim for the year or something and do a real search. The vibes of this program coming off a national championship should be better. Instead it seems like we're coming off a 7-5 year and heading into a 7-5 year. 2025 obviously is way further out, but almost every player from the last 3 years of winning culture will be gone, along with most of the coaches.

Your way too cool with the…

Your way too cool with the last 3 years satisfying you for the rest of your fandom. I want Michigan to always be good and right now, all our best coaches are leaving, we're not recruiting well especially for a team coming off a national title, our offense has been gutted, and after next year our defense will be too.

I don't want to go back to getting beat by OSU every year or splitting home and away game wins against PSU and winning 9 games a season. I want to keep this run going, not just being happy that it happened.

Moore is an unproven coach hired because there were really no other options left, who has to hire a bunch of coaches. I think it makes sense for fans to be worried and anxious.

I figured the whole point of…

I figured the whole point of hiring Moore was for continuity of the culture. We can't let every coach from that staff leave. Offer them as much money as they want because Harbaugh is gutting our staff otherwise.

It would be cool if 5 stars…

It would be cool if 5 stars wanted to play for a national title winner who also consistently puts players in the NFL, especially on defense.

You can rebuild a roster…

You can rebuild a roster really quick now and turn things around quickly. This roster is bad, and one of the worst teams in a conference that also isn't very good. The idea that you give him another year to get back to around  .500 team like the last 3 teams is just insane to me.

Take your losses, fire him and hire a new coach. The fact that Howard is a Michigan alum should not mean he can suck for multiple years with the same issues that continually get worse and worse.

Well he climbed a tree for…

Well he climbed a tree for David Long and that worked out. Moore should recruit better than Harbaugh, but who knows with NIL and all that.

Harbaugh is polarizing so yea some might find him weird not want to play for him, but others loved him.

Shocking.

We win a…

Shocking.

We win a national title and it's like recruits think we went 6-6. Coaching change has really ruined the momentum, and I'm sure NIL sucks too.

Loaded on defense but just…

Loaded on defense but just lost their DC who was probably the best coach on the staff. The offense is pretty much starting over outside of Loveland and Edwards. I highly doubt any QB we have playing next year will be great, I'm praying for just ok. I think it's also fair to say that Moore will be a step down from Harbaugh and yes I realize he won games last year as the interim but it's not the same as running everything, everyday.

I think we're going to be Iowa next year, but like a normal Iowa team, not the one from the last few years. After next year, that's when I really worry since most of the defense will be gone after 2024.

Yeah losing some of the best…

Yeah losing some of the best parts of your coaching staff is just a massive loss. They're losing a bunch on offense, pretty much the whole offense, and they haven't recruited great the last couple of years so it's scary for sure.

I think all these losses, combined with a harder schedule and Moore's just inexperience, it just seems like Michigan will take a huge step back next year and maybe even the year after. I don't want to go back to mediocre seasons, so Moore has a lot of pressure on him to nail all these openings which is tough ask.

So he took some of our best…

So he took some of our best coaches and recruiters and head of S&C. I mean, that's super annoying and I'm not a fan of Harbaugh doing that.

I feel like the whole keeping Moore for the culture thing takes a hit, when a bunch of coaches apart of that leave. Next year, they'll have so many new faces, it just seems like the program is just going to come back to earth and be an 8-4 type of team.

Congrats and good luck Coach…

Congrats and good luck Coach Moore.

I doubt he improves…

I doubt he improves recruiting. This new NIL era, has really limited how well Michigan can recruit. Jay was a great recruiter so losing him really sucks, but even then with NIL we just weren't going to pull a lot of elite kids.

Coming off a national title, even with Harbaugh leaving, there's not a lot of kids talking about Michigan it seems, so I bet it stays the same or maybe declines slightly.
