"It's a lot easier being a drug dealer than an AAU coach" - this guy. Tell me something I don't know. I mean, don't think but have never tried either.

Just a clarification. This was on WFAN, New York sports talk radio station. It wasn't a Kenyucky radio show.

So they're still going with #98 for Gardner I see. Usually mistakes like that are realized after you wake up the next morning. Lame.
|1 week 4 days ago||Benjy||
I hate Benjy. He must be a great writer to still be on the show because he doesn't display any humor performance wise. The one prank phone call he did was awful and his stunts like Ben-She and the horse head thing were just lame. Howard should have fired him when Benjy mouthed off to him during that showing up late fiasco.

Jef Bridges was on Howard this morning. He said he was suprised to find this news about himself on the internet. He asked his wife what she thought about it and she pretty much said no way in hell.
|2 weeks 2 days ago||Udey||
The team meeting had broke and Udey sat in his chair alone, clenching his newly awarded scholarship with a look of disguist. He had just saved his family a fortune but it didn't fullfill him. He watched as his teammates all crowded around Kyle......Kyle and his bucket hat. Kyle put it on and strutted back and forth from one end of the meeting room to the other like some kind of super model peacock. All while exchanging high fives and pats on the back. The chant of "Ky-le, Ky-le!!" drove Udey mad with envy. "Why couldn't they have asked me his question? I knew it was Caputo" he wondered. Udey had a void that a scholarship couldn't fill. Only a bucket hat could make him feel whole. Kyle's bucket hat. He was alone now that his teammates had lifted Kyle on their shoulders and carried him out of the room. "Screw you Kyle" he said to himself.

My thing is I wish if a Jersey kid doesn't go blue then I'd like him to stay home at Rutgers. So much talent in NJ and it stinks seeing them go to schools I hate. Flood has really destroyed the moderate level of respectability Schiano built. Every decent NJ recruit is leaving. They don't even tease Rutgers with the idea about staying home like they used to. Now it's just understood from the get go that they're gone.

Anyone else get douche chils when the Kings owner made everyone in the war room yell "Nik rocks" to him on the speaker phone?

I think the botched handshake with Beilein would make for a nice gif.

Any idea on when we'll find out if he has to redshirt or not? Also I hope we handle this better than we did Devin's medical redshirt. We uh not so a good wit da paperwork.(w/Italian hand gesture)

I'm glad we didn't offer. It would have been a bad sign regarding Shane Morris' progression.

Made me think about Jayru Campbell. I see Sparty hasn't pulled his scholarship offer.

I don't think Lewan will be there when my Giants pick. I think we go the next best OL available and that's Notre Dame's Zack Martin.
|15 weeks 3 days ago||LeGrand||
LeGrand posted it on twitter and facebook when he probably should have kept it in house. I'm no fan of RU's President Barchi and AD Hermann. That said Eric comes off a a little ungrateful here. RU has done a lot for him. They retired his number because he was paralyzed. It certainly wasn't because of his play. He was the 3rd DT in the rotation as a junior. Then he gets a job as the analyst for Rutgers games which he's not very good at. He doesn't have a voice for broadcasting. He probably should have thought "Rutgers is going to trot me out and pay me for things for the rest of my life. Better to just swallow this and keep moving." Dealing with President/AD incompetence is something he'll have to get used to there.
|19 weeks 1 day ago||Nope||
Giants won't take Dennard. The best player available philiosophy only goes to a reasonable degree. Strongest and deepest part of the team are the DB's. Prince Amukamara and Dominick-Rogers Cromartie will start. Walter Thurmond who we also just signed from Seattle will play nickel. Then there are 2 ok backups at 4 and 5. If the first 11 picks went as you predicted I would see them go either Zack Martin, Mike Evans or Aaron Donald.
|19 weeks 2 days ago||Liar!||
He's denying it but it's absolutely true. I haven't thought about this in years but watching this brought it all back. My uncle was in grad school at Georgetown at the same time Dikembe was there. He told me that he was at a party and Dikembe walked in and said "Who wants to sex Mutombo?"

Purple Wedding next week!
|20 weeks 4 days ago||Recruiting note||
Don't forget a Happy Trails to IND LB Josh Barajas. He committed to Penn State yesterday. He seemed to be high on us and then WHAM!
|20 weeks 4 days ago||Didn't want to||
Figured nobody wanted to talk football today so I didn't start a thread earlier. Josh Barajas, the LB from IN who we were looking pretty good with committed to Penn State. Good news keeps rolling in.
|23 weeks 2 days ago||Yeah||
Looks like it. Stevie re-signed with the Giants today.
|23 weeks 2 days ago||Last year||
Watched him with my Giants last year. He played more than we had in mind after Stevie Brown went down for the year. Mundy wasn't terrible but he wasn't good either. Just kinda "meh."
|24 weeks 6 days ago||Bufett||
I'll get to that later. I'm concentrating on the perfect brackets that I'm going to give to Warren Buffet for that cool $1 billion.

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim don't think there's anything wrong with our coach's title.

|27 weeks 1 day ago||ESPN||
I followed Tom to ESPN and it was great because they would start threads on the forum for recruiting news. Nothing big came from the articles. Once they closed the forum ESPN hasn't been all that informative anymore. Tom was moved to general recruiting and Chantel to overall Big 10. Nothing was UM concentrated anymore. So if you're not on Twitter like myself there's no real breaking info from that crew anymore.
|27 weeks 2 days ago||WTF?||
They have the money to buy out of the conference but they don't have it to go get a real football coach?
|27 weeks 2 days ago||Yankee fan here.||
Don Mattingly will always be my favorite player and when he retired I was sad because he was a hero to me. I like Jeter a lot but it's different. I was still in college when he came up and he's only 3 weeks older than me. His hair is gone and I'm just starting to get a few greys and now he's going to retire. It's like "F*ck, how did we get this old already." His retirement is a part of my youth coming to an end. I guess we'll all have those parallel athletes who we connect to in that way in whatever town you're from.
