Tom Brady is getting the biopic treatment.

The Gotham Group is developing a scripted limited series titled “The Patriot Way” based on the career of Brady, who led the New England Patriots to nine Super Bowls, winning six.

Are you saying Brady lost three Super Bowls.  The Buckeyes will be all over this.  I would guess he’s the only QB in NFL history to lose three of them.   Well, maybe Jim Kelly from Buffalo.

Hmmm. Conflicted feelings. I love that Michigan grad Tom Brady is the g.o.a.t. But I hate ALL New England teams. Bill Belichick was defensive coordinator for two NY Giant Super Bowl winning teams. Then again, fuck the Patriots--they can kiss my big, black Mid-Atlantic ass.

How does a scrawny, pasty, son of a cancer survivor and insurance salesman,
dropped in the middle of a depth chart,
backup in Ann Arbor, Michigan by Providence un-athletic and slow
grow up to be a hero and a baller?

The Super Bowler, record holder without, a 5 star
got a lot farther by working a lot harder
by being a lot smarter by being a self-starter
by twenty-four, they made him an NFL starter

Well the word got around they said this kid is insane man
Don't go for the win play for OT, said John Madden
Got your education don't forget from whence you came. And the world is gonna know your name.
What's ya name, man?

Thomas Edward Patrick Brady Jr
My name is Thomas Edward Patrick Brady Jr
And there's a million things I haven't done.
But just you wait, just you, wait.

This was more or less my first reaction as well.

based on the career of Brady, who led the New England Patriots to nine Super Bowls, winning six.

Excuse me? How is that the Tom Brady story? The turmoil at the end of this time there, ending in a separation, his search for a new team, culminating in a Super Bowl is a critical part of his football career.

If a six part series can't manage to touch on that, I don't understand.

I am conflicted when it comes to Brady. Love Michigan Tom. Hate NE Tom. I recognize he's the best I've ever seen but at the same time he was annoying as hell. Whenever he got hit he would always do the flag throwing hand gesture. Also his injury changed the game for the worse. After that you couldn't breath on a QB without risking a flag. Then he tried to copyright "Tom Terrific." Tom Seaver was known as that going back to 1969. Also bad timing doing it when Seaver was dying. When the predictable backlash followed he stopped the copyright saying he wasn't going to use it. He was just going to make sure others couldn't. Right.
