Also i'm pretty sure Netflix is producing a Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist show/s.

Way back when, Marvel went bankrupt, and had to sell their most popular properties (X-Men, Spiderman, Daredevil, Fantastic 4, etc) to companies like Sony and Fox. In order to keep those properties, Those studios must make a film every so often, otherwise those rights revert back to Marvel. For instance, Daredevil's rights just returned to Marvel because Fox hadn't produced one since 2003
That's why we've seen Wolverine eleventy-billion times on the big screen,as well as several Spiderman films. Fantastic 4 was beginning to approach the deadline, so they're re-booting in with hopes it will spawn a productive trilogy. These studios know that even if they churn out crap movies, they'll still make solid profits off them.
The properties going back to Marvel would be the best scenario, but that's never going to happen.

The consensus opinion on this board is that Dumars should have chosen Burke over KCP in the draft. I'm not arguing against that. Would have been awesome to have him in Motown.
I am interested in hearing your opinions on why KCP can't be a successful player with the Pistons and do good things for us. He has all the tools necessary, and is a quality guy with a good head on his shoulders. He's shown some good things in spurts so far. This is just his rookie season, after all.

Can you get ESPN 8 on Comcast?!

This game is so frustrating. Playing well the past 2 games, have 5 days off to rest and practice, only to come out and lay a giant egg tonight. What a disappointment.
This team isn't going to get any better until they improve their perimeter defense. Hell, defense period. Just pathetic.
|7 weeks 4 days ago||I guess the only way||
I guess the only way we'll figure this out is to see where these guys are three years from now. Kinda hard to tell how great or terrible a player is going to be 4 months into their careers, dont'ya think? Gee wiz.
|7 weeks 4 days ago||Yeah||
Yeah but his percentage was in the 20's earlier in the year. Now he's shooting 33% from 3, and that number should bump up as the season goes on. In 5 January games, he's shooting almost 54% from the field and averaging 10 points and 1.6 steals. Small sample size, I know. But he's coming along.
Looking forward to watching Trey take on the Pistons this Friday.
|7 weeks 4 days ago||I understand that||
I understand that many a folk are upset about the draft, but I honestly think Dumars made a good choice with this pick. KCP is a plus-defender who is shooting the ball much better than he did earlier in the season. His offense is beginning to come around (slowly, but surely). He's also averaging about 6 minutes less than Burke, so his numbers would be a tad bit better.
I am thrilled that Burke is performing this well this early in his career, and it would have been awesome to see him in a Pistons uni, but I think it might be too early to call this draft choice a mistake.
|10 weeks 1 hour ago||Yeah||
Yeah Dumars is so dumb and stupid. He has no idea what he's doing. I still haven't forgiven him for drafting Andre Drummond...
|11 weeks 3 days ago||Trey Burke||
I love me some Trey Burke, but c'mon. What's done is done. I'm a big fan of KCP, I think he'll be a good one for us going forward. Trey is coming into his own in Utah, and I think he will thrive there.
|12 weeks 3 days ago||I agree||
I agree WMUgoBlue, especially considering that Joss Whedon and co. have to get creative with their origin story.
The siblings can't be mutants in this film, so where do their powers come from? Does Scarlet Witch bring Ultron to life? Looking forward to learning more.
|12 weeks 3 days ago||Something else||
Something else to watch in this film are the two leads, Aaron-Taylor Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen.
These two will also be portraying brother-sister tandem Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch in 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron. Will be interesting to see that chemistry begin to be built in this film.

Can you say Sinister Six?! If they can pull this off, this film could be special.

A former Sailor! I'm a Big Red myself, but this kid is leading the charge for arguably the best team Shores has ever seen. The next few years should be pretty exciting for your old school.

What a great first name. Wu-Tang Forever.
|20 weeks 1 day ago||The Conference||
The conference he plays in, the OK Black, is a pretty top-heavy conference. My alma mater Muskegon is the winningest high school program in the state of Michigan, and a perennial state champ contender. Zeelend East is always in the mix for state championships as well. The bottom-half teams are pretty awful though, and it appears he played most of the awful teams in the highlight.
The kid is a gamer. He's led the Sailors to a 6-1 record this year. They hadn't won 6+ games in a season in over 30 years. This is the best team they have ever had, and it is largely due to Tyree's play at quarterback.
I don't see it happening, but I would love to see this kid get an offer from us.

Ricardo Miller is in action for UMASS against Wisconsin. It's to see him take the field for some PT, I hope he can make some plays today.

+1 for the Boy Meets World reference.

Shoot, that's a bummer. I wish him a speedy recovery. I was hoping to catch him in week 2 against my alma mater Muskegon. The teams are ranked 1-2 in the state. Can't miss that.

|38 weeks 3 days ago||Not only him||
Not only him, but Snoop Dogg's son Cordell Broadus is shaping up to be one of the top WR's in the nation, with offers from the likes of USC and LSU. Michigan visited his school last month, but probably doesn't have a horse in this race. Looks like the 213 wil live on.
|38 weeks 4 days ago||I didn't say||
I didn't say they were a good team, but progress was being made. Drummond was really coming along. He averraged 7.9 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per contest in only 21 minutes of action. His injury made a bad team even worse.
|38 weeks 4 days ago||The Pistons||
The Pistons have been pretty bad the past 5 years or so, no doubt about it. Howeva I don't think they are as far away from turning things around as some of you may think.
The Pistons were in the hunt for an 8th-seed playoff berth for the first half of the season, then rookie sensation Andre Drummond ended up missing 22 games because of a stress facture in his back. Couple that with Frank missing time due to his wife's health, and the wheels just fell off.
I would say the Pistons pre-Drummond injury were just as good if not better than the Bucks, who finished 38-44 with the 8th seed. That's just my opinion.
The team will look a helluva lot different next season with all the free agents on the roster, but I don't think we are all that far from being a playoff team, albeit in the Eastern Conference.
|38 weeks 4 days ago||I see where||
I see where you're coming from, but from what i've heard, Frank's lack of playing experience was a frequent complaint amongst the players, and one of the several reasons he was let go.
I think the Pistons needed someone who is known for their player development. The organization is looking to win now. I am by no means sold on this hire, but I do know Cheeks is very well-respected around the league and is looking to turn this team around.
