Obviously not every pass. One thing Georgia was successful with was motion out of the backfield to confuse the defense. JJ has to use his legs this game rolling out and there needs to be some true rpo’s. We aren’t going to beat Bama trying to line up and run over them but we still need to be able to run the ball effectively. I think the edges are exploitable on them more than up the middle.

Wow, the hubris to tell Harbaugh what he should have learned!!!

All I know is I've learned a lot about football watching this team the past few years.   If Harbaugh wants to win this game without throwing a single pass, I will love the shit out of it, or however he wins this game and the next one too.

Harbaugh isn't infallible.  And the MgoBlog crew, who are highly intelligent analysts, have been critical of UM's failure to use sufficient play action, despite being the most statistically successful PA offense in the country when it is used.  So, hubris? that's a pretty strong and fancy Greek word that I don't think my comments rise to.

Won’t matter, won’t stop the rumors. The guy was on the plane to Ann Arbor for his introductory press conference and they were saying that Oakland was still in play. At this point, I don’t blame him for ignoring the questions when asked.

At the end of the day, he’s either going to leave or he’s not. If he leaves, we move forward with (most likely) Sherrone Moore. If he stay, hopefully that means he’s signing this mega extension and he’s here for the long haul. At this point I’m mostly exhausted with the annual media dance and I’m sure he is also.

It's going to take everyone on offence. It's going to take everyone on defence. It's going to take everyone on special teams.  And they had fun at the happiest place on earth.

And Jeff Parsi ate 4 hotdogs.

You are up to date.

When the sun is setting at the rose bowl, Jim will use his glasses to focus a beam of light (a la raiders of the lost ark) onto Nick Saban, thus melting his face and making his head explode. Let it be written, let it be done.

I realize our Buckeye and Spartan friends would find a way, but hard for me to think about someone watching that end to end and not thinking he's a decent guy at heart.  Very positive and joyful -- has to have an effect on his players and staff.

He had some exciting things to say about Orji's talent level, which fires me up if JJ decides to go to the NFL.

It also looked like talking about the Rose Bowl he played in and didn't win still bugged him. Hell, it still bugs me!

I believe that was the year of the Ohio State Guarantee, and he pulled it off. It was a shame Michigan didn't win the Rose that year.

With luck, they make up for it and hand Jim the prize this year. Go Blue!

I’m never one to pass up a good Orji, but I frankly think it would. E more effective to scheme up running plays for JJ and keep Orji on the side lines.

I am sure they will try to get cute and have Orji throw a pass but that frankly scares me too.  Just leave JJ in the game and let him do his thing.

Arizona State - I think the final was 22-15; 1987 Rose Bowl.

My memory (it’s been awhile) is that our first drive was pretty solid and that Bo surprisingly went for 2 and we were up 8-0 in no time.   And then ASU (coached by John Cooper - why he can beat Michigan let’s hire him as our coach!) sort of slowly took over the game and we never could mount much offense.  I think their QB was Jeff Van Rapphorst but not certain and checking to be sure would require effort….

I was there.   At one point we were actually up 15-3 before everything started to unravel.  My lasting memory of that game was the yellow pom-pom my seat neighbor kept shaking in my face during the comeback.  I had horrible seats, dead middle of the end zone so the crossbar obstructed some of my view unless I ducked down and I was the last seat in the Michigan section so all the ASU fans started to the direct left of me.

Oh, and my other lasting memory was seeing Bo call something llke 246 draw plays to Jamie Morris.  After about the 135th one, ASU was keying on that play and was able to stop it.
