1st DAY in the books.

Since we did well last game, a few other teams get a 3 day start.  For the first 3 days we can only defend Ann Arbor... so NOW is the time to join!

 

PS: Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean are added this time, College Risk is going INTERNATIONAL!!!

Here are teams currently "winning" the game by having the most territories:

 

Notre Dame is in the lead.

Other noteworthy Day 1 events:

Iowa, Clemson and UCLA all died in the first day despite having relatively good number of players (Iowa's loss was particularly bad considering their odds).

Players for "dead" teams are given a "transfer portal option" (one time, I believe) to join a new team.

Can also play real risk online. Have to say I’m in the throes of addiction at the moment, so on second thought, maybe not a great idea.

I moved to defend Ann Arbor because it seems like the teams allowed to play thus far have captured other areas but lost their home turf (Staee and ND for example).  I miss someone telling me what to do.

The new rules seem rigged.  Golden Gophers took over half of Canada along with help from the refs last night.

The whole "other teams get a head start because we were too good last time" is nonsense in my opinion -- isn't college football all about the rich getting richer? -- but I'm holding out the hope that this will transition into CFBdemic like season 2 was supposed to before it was deemed too buggy.

Odd rule this year, the 8 teams that remained at the end of the last risk season (presumably the biggest teams) are only allowed to defend for the first 3 turns to give the little teams a chance to survive for a while.  We are already the biggest team again so once the shackles are lifted territory will explode.
