I spent two years in Germany - living in Berlin but traveling all around Europe.
Hamburg was one of my favorite cities in Germany. Some recommendations there would be:
St. Nikolai - Cathedral remains from WWII firebombing
Rathaus - Main City Square
Grab a beer and walk the promenade by the fountains
They do Cruises that go through the main lake in the city through some canals
Miniatur-Wunderland: Entire museum of miniatures (it's cooler than it sounds)
Elbphilharmonie - Opera house - beautiful to visit and has great views of the harbor
Reeperbahn Strasse - Infamous party area - where the Beatles go their start
Your best option inside Germany for a weekend would be Berlin, and it's the easiest via train. Other options would be Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Brussels, Cologne - all within a ~6 hour drive.
Berlin is a great place for a weekend visit. I highly recommend doing a walking tour to get your bearings and see the main 'tourist' sights. They are normally free and start at the Brandenburg Gate (I recommend Sandeman). Then just explore what interests you. Walk through the Tiergarten, sit in some bars and have a beer by the canal, visit some of the great museums on Museum Island.
I have just over an acre, and I went with the Ryobi zero turn. I'm moving away from gas powered tools as much as possible, and this seemed like a good step. I've had it about 1.5 years now, and here are my thoughts.
The Good
Quiet (can mow earlier in the morning or later at night with the headlights on)
Super maneuverable (helps to park and mow in tight spaces)
Extremely fun to drive
Makes a great cut
Can tow a small trailer with no problem
Very limited maintenance (outside of sharpening blades)
The Bad
After 1.5 years the batteries are starting to go bad and they only have a 12 month warranty. It's about $1k to replace them. This means now I can only mow half my yard without a recharge, instead of having a 50% left after doing the whole yard.
If I had to do it again, I'm not sure I would make the same choice, based on the battery issue alone. They have a newer model with different battery technology, so that may have fixed the battery issue mine has. Other than that, it is a fantastic machine for what I need it for.
I don't think Gibbs was a big of a stretch as people are saying. If that was their guy, then that's their guy. It really makes you believe that Swift will get traded sooner than later, maybe even today for some picks.
Sources with NFL teams were not surprised that Alabama running back Jahmyr Gibbs went as a top-20 pick, because they viewed Gibbs as one of the few players with an elite grade in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Interestingly, sources with the Jets say their team was planning on taking Gibbs with the 15th pick. They felt he was too much of a playmaker to pass on, and he would have been a tremendous receiving back for Aaron Rodgers to work with. Gibbs also is a very good pass blocker who could have helped the aging quarterback.
I travel a significant amount, and when booking personal travel my order of operations is always:
1. Use google flights to search for the flights you want. You can even have it alert you to a price change for a flight you select.
2. Book the flight you want directly through the airlines website.
3. If you need a rental car, try Kayak to search prices. I would also always recommend to use the company's direct website for booking, assuming similar price.
A few other notes:
If you use a 3rd party booking site, you run into issues any time you want to change your itinerary or any issues come up.
It's always worth it to sign up for the free 'membership' of whatever airline or rental car or hotel chain. You are much more likely to get upgrades, etc, if you are a 'member'.
I was also in a 'medium-lived' ska band from around 2006-2012, Gunday Monday. We played at the Pig frequently, and I always considered that our 'home venue'. Sometimes mostly empty rooms, and after a few years some completely packed rooms. Those were always the most hype shows, and the best crowds.
I know at least one other former member is a reader and active board member here.
And if you actually read the article and looked at the data from the CDC, and not just the tweet from QAnon, you would know that what it was saying is:
Of the 94% of people who had another condition listed on their death certificate, many of them had conditions caused by COVID-19, like ADRS, pneumonia, respiratory failure, organ failure, etc. These aren't necessarily pre-existing conditions (though some like diabetes and obesity are pre-existing). In many cases, they're the symptoms of the disease.
You don't just die of the coronavirus, just like you don't die of HIV. The disease causes pneumonia and kidney failure and cardiac problems and pulmonary embolii... and those get put in the CDC data.
Thumbs up for the GROM! I bought two last year (one for me and one for my wife), but those max out in the 55-60 mph range. For a starter bike I would recommend something like a Honda Shadow 600 for a cruiser, or a Ninja 250 for a sport bike.
I assume that he means that it is much easier to get into UM-Dearborn or UM-Flint than Ann Arbor. The schools do not have anywhere near the same admittance standards as UM-AA does.
I have experienced this personally as I did my undergrad in AA then went to Dearborn for my masters due to traveling for work and their online Graduate programs.
I don't understand this argument at all. Has there ever been a point where you knew what to expect from 2 out of 3 QBs that have yet to play a college game? Did you know what to expect out of Henne when Gutierrez went down? Or what to expect out of Threet, or Tate, or Denard before they played a game? The only one on the roster that we have any idea about is Shane: Laser rocket arm with questionable decision making (but how much of that was him and how much was coaching?).
I have adblock installed so I don't see any of that stuff. You shouldn't have to download anything to have it work. Generally it goes, find the game, click the 'watch now' link on the right side. Wait a few seconds until it says 'Streams are ready Click Here'. Click there. Then there should be options for 'Stream 1' 'Stream 2' etc. pick one of those then you just have to close out a few popups.
On PS4, BF4 is not very glitchy at all . However, on PS3 it is a bit glitchy still. Most of my friends that I play with have PS3 so I switch back and forth quite a bit. The new generation of consoles make a gigantic difference in the game, especially online.
I've spent the entire day backing up data (read: watching progress bars) and online car shopping. I'm thinking of buying a new (used) car. Pontiac G8 GT instead of my Dodge Caliber... sounds look a good idea to me.
There's also at least one player from Oakland U. I went to high school with him and am glad to see him doing well after his (brief) trip to Europe to play.
Hangin out at work answering tech support calls (actually just sitting here doing nothing) because 80% of the office, including the entire tech support department, took the day off.
If you buy a student ticket and don't have an MCard you can take the ticket to the ticket office on state street (at least that's where it used to be) and get it 'validated' for like $40 and then you can use it.

Why would working from home devastate the real estate market do you think?
Mostly because people won't need to move cities for work?

A quick search shows USC with a 24-8 record in the Rose Bowl. This means that outside of the Rose Bow, USC is 9-9 in bowl games.

Just about anyone who isn't still in college, or drinking Bud Lights.

Sweetwater 420 pale ale on Hilton head island.
Go Blue!
It was on the internet somewhere so it must be true....
Regardless of the actual numbers, the waitlist went down from a significant number to zero over the last few years.
Or about the wait list going from 100,000+ to zero in the last few years.
Maybe Minnesota is actually good??!?!
Or Ohio is actually bad?!!?
Either way is fine with me.

Like when they won 14 games in a row without him?
I step onto the field and run for 400 yards and 6 td, while simultaneously restoring Gardners confidence in his throwing ability.
I originally read that as "shining bacon of masculinity". I like it better that way.
It's crazy to think that most of his numbers were better last year.
Im no mechanic but it sounds like a bad fuel pump.

who?
Are you telling me that Matt McGloin =/= Tom Brady?!?!
I'm shocked! Shocked I tell you!
But he was a part of more at-bats than any 'everyday' player. So did he really contribute less?
My guess is Van Slyke in the middle and Jake Ryan on the left.
I too get a little extra excited when seeing pictures of Denard.

I don't think it's the walking... I think it's the not having a place to set up your own tailgate that people are upset about.
