So Elite 8 type performance.

I signed up to do that 3 years ago, but we got canceled due to a marine advisory and I've wanted to do that ever since.

Depending on the weather, it would open up as soon as after spring break (early March).

There could be more to it,…

There could be more to it, but I believe the main point is that each half inning starts with a base runner on 2nd base so that more runs will be scored.

Does anyone have any…

Does anyone have any experience going to bars downtown during the game?  My dad, cousin, and I are all going to the game this Saturday while our wives bar hop during the game - I wasn't sure how tough that would be to do downtown though.

I'm confused about this as…

I'm confused about this as well.

I agree.  The OP is right…

I agree.  The OP is right that even if it is accidental targeting, the damage still occurred to the player being hit.  However, if we can punish people with intent more harshly, that will reduce the number of head shots long term since players would change their behaviors.  It's hard to eliminate the accidental head shots, since they are accidents.  Guys who are punished will struggle to change their behavior to reduce them since they were never intentional.

So being a 7.5 point…

So being a 7.5 point favorite is worse than a 7 point favorite?  Maybe just too small of a sample size?

I don't know much about…

I don't know much about betting, but don't the sharps generally bet more money than fans, and hence control the line more?

NFL teams have a 90 man…

NFL teams have a 90 man roster during training camp though that doesn't get cut down to 53 until after the last preseason game.  So assuming that training camp is the time most likely to have players collapse from heat/exhaustion, they'd have ~2,880 players.

Watching the end of the…

Watching the end of the Germany game knowing that either Germany or Mexico would be eliminated was fun!  Now let's see if Brazil can get eliminated this afternoon!

The mechanics of the game…

The mechanics of the game are different.  In this game, if we send 9 stars to a territory, and our opponents send 1 star, we have a 90% chance of winning (9/(9+1)).  In risk the board game, we'd have a 99.987% chance of winning (http://datagenetics.com/blog/november22011/index.html).  So even when we have a numbers advantage, we don't normally get huge odds.  With 30+ contested territories every night, there is a large chance for random numbers to swing to the good or bad.

It has to only be r/CFB.

They’re in alliance with Nebraska. So Nebraska has been ceding ground to Stanford to let them through to the east to attack opponents.

Physics, chemistry, and math

Physics, chemistry, and math are all on central campus, as well as any electives you take.  You'll have ENG100/101 (one class per semester) on north campus and possibly ENG110, but that's about it as a freshman.

There are lots of events all

I think their coverage of the

I think their coverage of the Red Wings in the offseason has been really good.  Custenance has a lot of good insight and they have several writers looking at the analytics of the Wings. The Tigers coverage has been pretty good too.  I think Quinn has done a good job with UM basketball coverage so far (and over the past few years).  I'm not sure what they have for UM football lined up, but this site pretty much has that covered.  I'd definitely recommend it overall.

The turnaround from January

The turnaround from January to now is amazing.  This team is a blast to watch.  Let's work our way out of that 8/9 seed this weekend!  Go blue!

They also did studies where they showed replays of a foul to soccer refs with and without audio. The refs who heard the crowd yelling for a call were more likely to call a foul and more likely to give cards than those who watched with no audio.

Insurance

Can someone explain how his insurance policy pays out? I see on twitter, "Jake Butt took out $4M in total disability insurance. Took out $2M in loss of value insurance, would start collecting after Rd 2."

So he gets $2 million if drafted in the third round or later? How does he get the other $2 million of the disability insurance?

I'm about 7 weeks post ACL surgery, and you can definitely walk after tearing it. Hopefully his is just a sprain though!

I was in the ER just back in December and had about a $2,000 bill.  All I had was stitches and an antibiotic IV.  The ER I visited was considered out of network, so I got screwed.

I'm pretty sure if the defense doesn't improve much by March, there will be a lot of "madness" here on MGoBlog!

It's not who has the most

It's not who has the most stones in the house, it is who has the closest stone to the button (and how many they have that are closer to the button than the opponent).  With the hammer, Canada was able to get a stone closer to the button than either of the US stones sitting in the house, earning one point.

This afternoon in front of a late-arriving, non-sellout crowd at the Big House...

This game wasn't a sell-out?  Wouldn't that be the first time since 1975?  What was the announced attendance?

No worries.  I am glad to know that he is at least getting close to playing.  I was hoping he would get some experience this year after he declared he was leaving.

Where did you read that?  ESPN shows that he is scratched tonight.  Hopefully he gets some game action still this season.

Great work!  This is really interesting.

One question - if the offense and defense are rated relative to each other, doesn't that mean that (Offensive Advantage) = - (Defensive Advantage)?  This isn't too important, but I was curious if there was a subtlety I was missing.

Also, I love the Easter eggs!
