"Those who stay will be back to back national champions".

We do it for the memes.
December 5th, 2022 at 8:12 AM ^
Mikey likes it.
December 5th, 2022 at 9:24 AM ^
Excellent!
One way to compensate for perhaps a bit of an underwhelming recruiting class is to keep veteran contributors around for another year.
December 5th, 2022 at 10:14 AM ^
WOO HOO!!!
December 4th, 2022 at 10:53 PM ^
Incredible! What he accomplished in this position switch was special. He is also so freaking intelligent. Having a leader like Sainristil back again should have osu quaking in their velvet boots.
December 5th, 2022 at 7:11 AM ^
Sainri-stans unite!

I’m a Michigan football fan and I approve this message.
December 4th, 2022 at 10:55 PM ^
I’ll go get you a towel. 🥰
December 4th, 2022 at 10:56 PM ^
HUGE.
"Little" Mikey plus #2 Will Johnson is going to be the best secondary in the conference next year.

In the country?...
December 5th, 2022 at 10:04 AM ^
Don't stop him, he's rolling.
December 5th, 2022 at 10:15 AM ^
Just like when the Germans offered him NIL.
December 5th, 2022 at 10:00 AM ^
Hell yes! Those two are going to provide a great base for what should be a formidable back-end of the D.
December 4th, 2022 at 10:56 PM ^
Excellent news. Not only his play but his leadership.
December 4th, 2022 at 10:56 PM ^
I am extremely pleased to hear this news. Imagine how good he'll be in his 2nd year playing on that side of the ball.
December 4th, 2022 at 10:58 PM ^
Heard some rumblings that all is going to enter portal tomorrow…would be sub-optimal and unexpected to say the least.
December 4th, 2022 at 10:59 PM ^
That would be pretty surprising considering he just announced last week he was coming back to Michigan on social media.
December 4th, 2022 at 11:03 PM ^
He did not do this. He said he would be back on the field better than ever.
December 4th, 2022 at 11:34 PM ^
redacted
December 5th, 2022 at 10:08 AM ^
Heard some rumblings that all is going to enter portal tomorrow
He meant to say "all are going to enter the portal". The whole team!
December 4th, 2022 at 11:43 PM ^
And all his current teammates commented seemingly like he was going to be back on the field with them?
December 5th, 2022 at 7:27 AM ^
Again, he never said “with them”. He said he will be back on the field better than ever. Did not specify where. And of course his teammates will like it. I’m sure they love and respect him. They aren’t going to say “F that guy, I’m not going to like his post because he might be going somewhere else”.
December 4th, 2022 at 11:43 PM ^
Edit: nvm thought this was about Sanristil not All.
December 4th, 2022 at 11:11 PM ^
Only way I see this making sense is daddy duties, closer to parental help, not at all saying this is a happening or the reason.
December 4th, 2022 at 11:15 PM ^
The rumor has been going to Iowa with Cade. They have no offense and a history of good TEs so it might make a little bit of sense if he feels he wants to go somewhere to be the focal point of the offense. They lost LaPorta. But it would still be surprising considering how close he seemed to be to Harbaugh.
December 4th, 2022 at 11:24 PM ^
There are circumstances where a transfer may indicate an intractable break with the people you leave, but I think it’s often a business decision only, something that involves people parting on warm terms. There’s more to live than what color helmet you wear for a couple of years in your late teens and early 20s.
Its interesting to me seeing the close relationships some coaches have with players they recruited heavily but never came to their school. Many times they remain close and care about them a great deal, because the personal matters a lot.
All transferring may not have any reflection on his relationships here at all. He may just be seeing the writing on the wall, or feel a bit bogged in the mud.
December 5th, 2022 at 1:17 AM ^
Give me a break. And use fewer words.
December 5th, 2022 at 5:44 AM ^
take your own advice.
December 5th, 2022 at 7:22 AM ^
Read carefully. Most of those words matter.
December 5th, 2022 at 9:10 AM ^
every comment is a journal, with that one
December 5th, 2022 at 7:54 AM ^
I share your interest in stories about coaches that continue to have relationships with recruits that go to other schools. I am sure it happens more often than makes the blogs. I do believe that coaching is more important and rewarding than winning for most coaches. Of course, winning is an indicator that you just might be a good coach (but not always).
With respect to All. I thought he was good enough (fast enough) to #1 when he returns. I though NIL money would keep him at Michigan.
December 5th, 2022 at 8:09 AM ^
I had read somewhere that Cade was going to get some good NIL opportunities at Iowa and that they were going to ramp it up some more to bring in some other talent. I know he was trying to lure receivers to come with him, this may be how this works out with All. If he’s not getting NIL money at Michigan and can go play with a quarterback he played with before, while also getting paid, he might take it.
December 5th, 2022 at 8:38 AM ^
AKA Iowa is offering a bigger bag to build a team through the portal. It makes sense, since the Big10 west is still winnable. Rhule is going to build a team via the Portal making Nebraska an immediate threat, Iowa needs to keep up.
December 5th, 2022 at 10:17 AM ^
We are talking about Iowa Iowa, right? Like, the place where offense goes to die? (No offense, Cade)
The place from where Chuck Sizzle transferred, then promptly exceeded the total receiving yards of the entire Iowa receiving corps? That Iowa?
<Scratches head as he contemplates All's draft stock plummeting precipitously>
Uh, okay.
December 4th, 2022 at 11:14 PM ^
TE is the deepest position on the team, so wouldn’t be surprised.
December 4th, 2022 at 11:41 PM ^
I don't think it's that deep. Loveland would be a great number 1 but who is the number 2 guy?
Hibbner maybe? But he hasn't played much at all this year. Bredeson is just a blocker and if anything is more of a fullback.
It would be really great to get All back.
December 4th, 2022 at 11:44 PM ^
Louis Hansen
December 4th, 2022 at 11:51 PM ^
I'm not even sure if Louis Hansen is still on the team. I've heard nothing about him at all and haven't seen him play at all either.
And that's with the context that Harbaugh says something about every tight end if he can because he loves the position so much
December 5th, 2022 at 8:10 AM ^
Yeah, with Schoon leaving and All possibly departing, where is the proven depth? Loveland obviously is good but there isn’t much established depth behind him.
December 5th, 2022 at 10:35 AM ^
Having All back along with Loveland would be the best two TEs in the country.
December 5th, 2022 at 7:49 AM ^
But he was a returning starting and arguably 1A to Schoon's 1B. Loveland is a nice player with a great future, but as has been said, we use the position enough to feed 2 players.
At the end of the day he has to do what is best for him, but I am a little surprised to hear about this, if true.
December 4th, 2022 at 11:16 PM ^
Could be. He’s done for the year. Loveland is going to get first-team snaps. Other guys there, too. Might just be time for a change in scenery.
Good luck to him if so.
December 4th, 2022 at 11:51 PM ^
Once again, someone gets negged for something not because it’s definitely untrue, but because people don’t want it to be true? All he said was there are”rumblings.” Someone else has apparently heard it as well.
December 5th, 2022 at 7:59 AM ^
Ya I’m not sure other than folks being upset with the content why I was negged into oblivion. Sheesh, tough crowd.
December 5th, 2022 at 8:22 AM ^
Where exactly did you read, or hear, your “rumblings?”
