the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection

Those Rivals and ESPN rankings went way down by the end of his senior year. |

Robinson wasn't in the final Rivals 100, nor the Rivals 250. He also wasn't in the ESPN 150 either. |

Read "Chronicles of the Black Company." It's an excellent fantasy trilogy, if a little old. |

Just to show how big a nerd I am, Blood Bowl is originally from Warhammer, not Warhammer 40k. Warhammer 40k is awesome with Space Marines, Warhammer is for total dorks amirite? Anybody? |
| 5 weeks 3 days ago | As much fun as it is to bag |
As much fun as it is to bag on EA (and they do put out a TON of crap), this statement is a little ridiculous to me. In the last ten years: Mass Effect series (which you mentioned. The ending doesn't ruin the other 2+90% of the rest of the series). Army of Two series- Not a great series by any stretch, but still good, silly, fun games. Actually got my wife to play CO-OP with me, so I'll always enjoy them. Battlefield series- Not all the games obviously, still a popular series. Crysis series- pretty games if nothing else. Dead Space series FIFA series- Excellent footie series. Some people prefer Winning 11, but still very good games. MVP Baseball 2005- the best baseball game ever made. NHL series- by far the best hockey game on the market the last few years. Shank series Star Wars the Old Republic Team Fortress 2 Now I realize EA is just the publisher for alot of these games and not the developer, and I'm no EA apologist but still, those are some pretty good games just in the last 10 years. |

You realize EA was the publisher for the entire series, not just the third game....... |

I thought I read somewhere that he actually wanted to play DE. I could be wrong though. |
| 14 weeks 2 days ago | Well, in 2010 SDSU's offense |
Well, in 2010 SDSU's offense put up 35 points per game. Michigan hasn't averaged 35 points per game since like 1992, so......maybe? |
| 15 weeks 6 days ago | I have to agree with Magnus |
I have to agree with Magnus here. The thin legs things is way off, and in his senior tape he breaks at least one tackle in just about every run and his balance is vastly improved. |
| 16 weeks 4 days ago | Tell people you want to take |
Tell people you want to take official visists. Take them all. Commit to none of the school visited. For bonus points if a top ranked recruit, officially visit at least one D II school. take the other four to the worst teams from the MAC, Sun Belt, WAC and MWC. After each visit claim you "almost pulled the trigger." |

Gorilla vs. Bear is a great music blog. They always have a good piece up on the SXSW festival. As for bands, if you like Alt Country type music, Fleet Foxes are great. |
| 17 weeks 3 days ago | The practice week is always |
The practice week is always more important. The scouts and front office people are mostly gone by Thursday, and completely gone by Friday (outside of the teams coaching of course). Monday, and especially the full pad Tuesday and wednesday practices, are a players big chance to make a good impression. |

| 18 weeks 1 day ago | I'm not downgrading anyone. |
I'm not downgrading anyone. I'm simply saying I don't think it's cut and dried that Henry had the better game. You made it out like Henry definately had a better game, I don't think it's that easy. And if you're going to use speculation about what coaches may have thought, I'm not sure how to even have a discussion. Maybe Green tweaked his ankle a bit on his second run and the coaches didn't think he was 100%. Maybe a shadowy Illuminati figure tapped them on the shoulder and said one word, "no," in a terrifying whisper as the coaches motioned for Green to go in. Maybe he travelled back in time to fist fight Andrew Jackson. And I'd still like to know where that extra carry went. On a side note, does anyone else read a good percentage of Magnus' posts in a surly, angry voice? I don't know why, but I swear 90% of your posts come across like you're sneering at your monitor as you write them. |
| 18 weeks 1 day ago | Must have been a flag on one |
Must have been a flag on one of his runs then, because he definately had 9 carries on the cut up over at MGovideo. I get what you're saying but it's hard to say a guy had a better game because he happened to get a couple goalline carries that the other guy didn't. |

Both of those are junior season highlights. His senior highlights were posted later in this thread. |
| 18 weeks 1 day ago | Did he though? Henry had 53 |
Did he though? Henry had 53 yards on 10 carries. I'm probably inflating Green's numbers because I like the kid, but I counted around 53 on 9 carries. Even if I pumped him up by a few yards and he had 50 on 9 carries, he still had a better YPC average than Henry and broke off some better (longer) runs (IMO). |
| 18 weeks 1 day ago | In the AA game he had like 53 |
In the AA game he had like 53 yards on 9 carries for a nice little 5.9 YPC average against the best competition he's likely faced to date. Showed good burst through the whole, ran with some power, broke off a few long runs. He's not a guy that's going to wow you with great moves. He's a one cut and go downhill runner. I have no idea if he's he's going to be any good or not, but I'll trust this coaching staff, all the other coaching staffs, and the evaluators. The guy he reminds me of is Jamal Lewis. He's got those same short choppy steps that are good for wading through the trash at the line. |
| 18 weeks 3 days ago | Ozzie has already been |
Ozzie has already been discussed above. He was a first ballot hall of famer because of his defense. He was probably the best defensive SS of all time. I love Jack Morris, but he's a borderline HOFer at best. I agree that a player should be judged on how good he was "in his time" or his "era." Using traditional numbers, Morris led the league in wins twice in 18 seasons. Led the league once each in innings pitched and strikeouts. He never led the league in ERA, WHIP, average against or win/loss percentage. He was never the best pitcher in the AL over his career. Mike Mussina has a better HOF case than Jack Morris. |
| 27 weeks 4 days ago | I'd say Schofield looked much |
I'd say Schofield looked much better as a guard last year than as a tackle this year (similiar to Steve Schilling), and he was far better than Barnum has been at left guard. The biggest problem I see with the run game is the three interior linemen just aren't that good. Omameh is probably average in this system, Mealer maybe slightly below,, but Barnum has looked pretty bad. If we had any depth at tackle I'd love to see Schofield replace Barnum at guard, but this is another case of poor OLine recruiting biting us in the ass. No one to play tackle. At least this staff has taken the mantra "OLine depth" to heart. |
| 35 weeks 2 days ago | I think Brian is wrong about |
I think Brian is wrong about there being no read for those fullback dives. I'm fairly certain AF uses simpler pre snap reads based on the DL alignment to decide whether to give to the FB or keep. If you go back and watch the game, when Michigan's DL came out like in the above plays (basically a standard alignment) the QB ran the option to the edge 99% of the time. In the second half Michigan started coming out with the DL leaving a big hole in the middle (no one was really over the center) and 99% of the time AF would give to the fullback against that alignment. As the second half rolled along I was able to call the keep or give just based on how our DL was set up most of the time. They'd also run that little inside counter against that alignment once in awhile as well, but the play always seemed to go inside when we left that space in the middle. |
| 36 weeks 4 days ago | I think that 2007 Oregon team |
I think that 2007 Oregon team gets overrated a bit. Mike Hart put up 130 yards or so on the ground at 5.1 a carry. Does 2007 Michigan get 5.1 per carry against this Alabama team? Let's also not forget that Michigan led that game 7-3 at one point and easily could have been up 14-3 if not for a Henne pick on the goalline on the first drive. Plus If I remember correctly (and it's very possible I do not) Michigan was only down 18-7 when Henne went out. Mallet played the entire second half of that game plus a good portion of the second quarter. I still think Oregon wins, as their offense was absolutely deadly, but Michigan probably could have kept it a little closer. |
| 36 weeks 4 days ago | I don't think the point of |
I don't think the point of the OP was that you always read the DE. I think that the point was that the QB doesn't read two players. He reads the DE or the LB, but not both. He reads the DT or the LB or whatever ad infinitum, but not multiple defenders. That's the point I got anyway, which is absolutely correct.
EDIT: Ok, that totally wasn't his point after reading it again. But if it was he would be totally right about that, so......yeah...... |

These aren't that new. I'm pretty sure TTB had these posted at least a few months ago.
Anyway, the guy he most reminds me of is actually former USC WR Mike Williams (at least in these highlights). When you watch these you'd almost like to see him get some time on the outside. |
| 49 weeks 5 days ago | I think your 2012 is a little |
I think your 2012 is a little off. Per Rivals, Hoke and Co. brought in two 5 stars and ten 4 stars. With thirteen 3 stars as well, I'd say it's more like "lots of 3 stars, lots of 4 stars, a couple of 5 stars." |
| 1 year 1 week ago | Realistically, you could do |
Realistically, you could do this with plenty of Michigan teams, both good teams and bad/mediocre. For example, I give you the 2004 Michigan Wolverines. All of these guys played at least special teams for a season or two in the NFL. Bolded are guys that have actually been decent contributors/starters.
Jamar Adams, Adrian Arrington, Jason Avant, David Baas, Alan Branch, Steve Breaston, Prescott Burgess, Shawn Crable, Braylon Edwards, Matt Gutierrez, Leon Hall, David Harris, Mike Hart, Chad Henne, Marlin Jackson, Tim Jamison, Jake Long, Tim Massaquoi, Ryan Mundy, Morgan Trent, Gabe Watson, LaMarr Woodley, Pierre Woods |
| 1 year 2 weeks ago | The "Hines Ward played QB at |
The "Hines Ward played QB at Georgia" draft meme needs to die. It gets brought up everytime someone wants to make a case for their teams QB-to-WR conversion. Ward played some QB during his sophmore season but that was it. He finished up as Georgia's second all time leading receiver with 149 catches for 1,965 yards. Matt Jones went in the first round (which was a terrible pick in a terrible draft) because he was willing to go to the Senior Bowl as a WR and played very well. So far Denard seems like he's more likely to take the Pat White "I'm a QB and that's it" route, which won't help his stock. If he's willing to work as a WR at the senior bowl and plays well, he could go in the first. If he's not willing or doesn't play well at the position, he won't. |

| 1 year 9 weeks ago | These may be good teams, but |
These may be good teams, but Magnus is right they aren't very talented. Of the 5 teams you mentioned, only 3 defensive seniors will be playing for BCS conference teams next year, and only 4 will be playing in D1. One 4*, one 3*, and two 2*'s (per scout). They have no players ranked early from the 2013 class. Carmel, Marist, and Nazareth didn't have a single D1 defensive prospect between them. Isaac is a great player and I'd love to have him, but no, his competition level really isn't very good. |
