I've got a great feeling about this game. Tate is healthy and he's been watching PSU film for 2 weeks. I like UM 35-20.
Tennessee is not recruiting well just because they got 18 dudes
35-21 Michigan. Tate throws for 275 yards 3 TDs, Denard gets a running score, and one of the running backs score.
....but a small point spread is more likely than a 14-point one (I'm not SAYIN [they can't pull it off]...I'm just SAYIN [14 points is a lot]).
I say 31-28 Michigan.
Michigan. Tate/Stonum/Minor have big first half, and we desperately hang on for win.
I just beat my buddy as M playing PSU for our intense online dynasty in NCAA 2010. Came down to a last second field goal as time expired so I'll take this as a sign.
BTW Justin Turner had a pick six in the fourth quarter.....
In fulfillment of ESPN's rumor, RichRod pulls Tate for Denard. Then pulls Denard for Tate. This happens a couple of times.
Despite Michigan's seemingly insurmountable QB controversy: Michigan 27, Penn State 21
24-21. Michigan wins in, you guessed it, exciting fashion.
26-21. The winner didn't pop into my head so I'll just go with Michigan.
...to see if we remember doing this last week?
I'll stick with my original prediction of UM 24-23 on a last-minute Tate Forcier drive. Forcier seems to go into a "zone" that very few people even get to sniff when he needs a drive late in the game.
Of course, it would be a lot more fun if UM went out and got a convincing victory.
The PSU offense won't be able to outgun Michigan in this one. I think M's offense will roll and the defense will hold their own. M wins 32-28.
30-20 UM. We will be able to run the ball with Molk back.
I'm going with 27 - 24 MEEEEECHIGAN -- watch out for carlos brown to go off
I'm going with 30-24. Tate goes over the top, DRob breaks one
big, Minor and Brown tear up the field. Clark has nightmares
about the number 55.
Both teams will be 6-2 after tomorrow.
With rain and moderate wind in the forecast, I think both offenses could potentially have some weather-influenced miscues. Michigan starts out slow but our better conditioning and the running game show up and break through PSU's gassed defense in the second half.
28-24 Michigan victory.
Predictions to make me look stupid
1. Graham has 3 sacks
2. Mouton/Ezeh will add another two when they try to double the deathbeast
3. Brown and Minor will both break 100 and score; brown's td will be over 40 yards
4. We will have less than 200 yds passing but qb's will have more than 100 rushing and least one td on the ground
but will Zoltan get to punt?
Stonum is player of the game with 3 big kick off returns, one which he scores on. Also has 4 catches for 85 yards another score.
I don't think either team is held under 30 points.
PSU 38 - UM 33
Another MSU/Iowa type ending. Crippling error on the last drive seals it.
Well you're no fun.
the Big House, and they play small and conservative all day. Both defenses have fair success. I think Michigan takes it in an uncomfortably close game, 24 - 21.
If UM controls the deep part of the field and keep the TE in check. The Michigan offense should overwhelm the PSU defense with a healthy dose of Minor Rage and a healthy Tate ala ND game and Wolverines prove they are a contender again.
Penn State 31
If it wasn't suppose to rain I would have said 31-21 UM, but since rain is in the forecast I'm going 20-17 UM! Go Blue!
scoring will be hard to come by.
UM 13 PSU 10
A lot of things about this game lead me to believe Michigan can and will win, which makes me very nervous. I don't like that feeling, that smugness like I've got this figured out. That's what makes me nervous.
Michigan wins, I'm too nervous to post a score.
Princess Nit-a-Nee's Lions 26
PSU scores to take a 26-20 lead with 41 seconds left in the fourth quarter. After Michigan is only able to advance the ball to about midfield before the clock hits 0:00, the refs move the ball up to the PSU 1 yard line and put 1:00 back on the clock. It takes seven downs and another minute added to the clock, but Michigan finally punches it in for the TD. Then, after missing the extra point, the refs use video replay to rule that the kick was close and therefore should have been good, and rule it good. Game over, Refverines win!
Not Arkansas at Florida
...One person picked Penn State? How are they so highly ranked? They must suck.
between optimism and homerism is a fine one indeed. Personally, I'm okay with those with the optimism.
That he which hath no stomach to this fight,
Let him depart; his passport shall be made,
And crowns for convoy put into his purse;
We would not die in that man's company
That fears his fellowship to cheer with us.
Special Teams wins it, because, well... they're special.
if your prediction comes true!
I played my Xbox 360 and Mich won 42-0 over PSU
I'm predicting 31-24 Mich
I think being at home is going to be a big motivator for the fellas. I think last year's game will be a big motivator. It is the biggest "non-rival" game we play, similar to a top SEC team coming to town. The team is rested, healthy, and looking to make amends after losing two games. Combine those "facts" (I think for the most part, they are) with we are now in week 7 of year two, that the team is really starting to gel offensively, and to a point defensively, and I see UM winning. Point spread-wise I see a Iowa-esc effort by the Nittanies where they come up with big plays and keep it close and suspenseful, 30-27, or we keep their efforts in check by a defense that rises to the occasion, 27-17. Either way everyone leaves happy, the team chants 'The Victors', and recharges the season with high hopes of an 11-2 finish.
I agree. If we take care of business today 11-2 suddenly seems like a legit possibility.
