OT - PSU to interview Greg Roman, the OC of 49ers. Great catch for them, if they get him.

Matt Canada - Former NIU and Wisconsin OC.
Would love Paul Crist (?) who was Badgers OC a few years back but no way he would voluntarily leave Pitt HC position. Anyone know the general attitude toward him there?

Two names at coachingsearch.com that I'm intrigued by are
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterbacks coach Randy Fichtner
Chicago Bears wide receivers coach Mike Groh

Lane Kiffin - has been good as an OC and can recruit like crazy.

There is no doubt Michigan can afford him. One of the big problems with Kiffin is once he has a little success his name is going to come up for every college coaching opening. We probably couldn't keep him for more than a couple of years if he did well.

But it would still feel dirty having him around our team. Character can rub off in both good and bad ways. I don't think Hoke would ever even consider him for that reason alone.

Kyle Shanahan is unemployed and had success last year running a "college" system in the NFL. Could bring in his father's zone blocking scheme. Could be just pro-style enough.

Pro-Style is too new fangled for Michigan! Gimme some triple option, maybe even some wishbone or single back. THIS IS MICHIGAN

Because Hoke knows him, worked with him and he's "Michigan legacy" so Brandon will just love that part. I think Parrish is approaching 68 years of age.
Firing Borges was probably the right decision, but godammit.
What about Mike Sherman, who was at Green Bay and recently fired OC of the Dolphins?

Kyle Shanahan

He definitely knows how to score points.

Basically feels like he's been in the UM huddle each of the past few games against UM so knows UM's offense well, would be an easy transition
