At the time, Coleman said, many were criticizing former coach Lloyd Carr's style as being too old fashioned, outdated next to the flashy, spread offense-style play gaining popularity. We know, given the first couple of candidates who allegedly turned them down, that this wasn't the mindset going into the process. I'm not sure how the specifics of Rodriguez' tenure are a surprise or a sin. He was the product of a bungled process and his years in Ann Arbor are just a reflection of Martin and Coleman's weakness. Rodriguez had his chance to emerge and take control but he too was wasn't up to the challenge, just like the people who hired him. |

Avila is probably banged up after the number of hits he took yesterday. Beyond that is this really that puzzling? Inge is playing to take our attention off Raburn. |

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's just Hoke's way of creating a certain amount of anxiety and pressure to keep anybody from relaxing and going through the motions over the summer. |

Chris Webber is the son of an auto worker and teacher, a pretty average middle class kid. |
| 6 weeks 1 day ago | I have an old acquaintance |
I have an old acquaintance whose husband was off with his girlfriend and another friend and were involved in a night time boating accident. There was a lot of alcohol and the boat owner (who was the one with girlfriend) drove her to shore and sent her off with all of the alcohol evidence before calling 911 or attempting to find his friend (who had gone overboard in the accident). The friend drowned and his pathetic excuse was he was trying to keep his affair from his wife and children. He's in jail now but only for a year and a half. So yeah, I agree, it makes me sick. |

People's job opportunities are restricted by all kinds of things, from degrees, to experience, to age. So are people's voting rights, driving rights, marriage rights, etc. I don't see why the NBA can't set whatever requirements they want. |

Really, their problem is they come from West Michigan? That seems to be the least of the issues I have with them. |

...in re to his own decision last year, "I have no regrets — none at all. I did all I wanted to do at U-M, which was to rebuild the program and put it on the right foot and leave things better than when I got there." Without question he was a part of the process and he helped but he did not rebuild the program and put it on the right foot. He did all he wanted to do at Michigan, good for him. I wish Morris no ill but he fell short of the sort of goals that inspire the affection of many fans and would have cemented him as a cornerstone in the rebuilding of the program...the embrace of the Michigan experience, the education, the team and the goals of champions.

If I had to pick a single reason they lost I'd say their PG played better than ours. He stretched the defense, he drew double teams and he kept his dribble when doubled and found the open man. No matter what Michigan took away from Cooper, he had an answer. |

And you clearly don't know what you are talking about. Go look at the tears in Morgan's eyes and listen to him explain what they meant to the team. This team over-achieved and they wouldn't have done it without Stu and Zack's leadership. |
