Article on Potential Basketball Assistants

It is written by Quinn, so the quality is top notch as always.
All the main candidates seem to be pretty solid, IMO.
Leo's guess? Hunter and young Beilein.
My wild guess is Chris Hunter and Jerry Slocum.
Chris Hunter was still pretty heavily involved with the program.
I honestly have not heard a word about him since he finished playing.
I remember when they hired him as the director of player personnel, but hadn't heard much about him since that time. Seems like the most logical hire of guys that are already on staff, and I'm guessing at least one of the hires will come from within to maintain some continuity.
Terry Mills as a possibility. He would be an interesting choice.
Is an amazing coach. Totally turned around Huron's program and made it one of the best in the state, without too much D1 talent.
I'm not sure he's experienced enough (both coaching-wise and on the recruiting trail) to get the job now, but I bet he'll be a Michigan assistant in the next decade.
Hunter seems almost too logical to not have happen(then put in a call to CJ Lee about the Player Personnel job).
After that, I like Quinn's throwing Greg Paulus out there and it would certainly be an interesting hire and given this whole mess started with OSU firing Thad Matta would certainly be a way to bring the whole thing full circle.
our recruiting would be insane
Don't see Jalen ever leaving his lucrative tv gigs.
Juwan Howard is an assistant coach for the Heat, so at least he's got some coaching experience. Wonder how much he makes there and if he'd ever be interested in college coaching (and moving his family from Miami)... I doubt it, interesting idea though.
Easy:
1. Makes more than Michigan would pay.
2. Not moving.
Yeah I agree
Although Jalen has stated on his radio show that his dream job is Head Coach at Michigan. So let's see if he really means it.
I think Jalen has what I usually refer to as up yours money, as in he can say up yours to whomever and do what his heart desires without having to consider the cash. He'd be a great coach, and I was watching the 30/30 program tonight about Lakers and Celtics in 1980's and found out that Pat Riley was a Lakers announcer before he became their coach.
Yeah, Hunter seems like a lock. He's paid his dues. (On a side note, I didn't know he graduated from the B-School - wow!)
I wonder if the other spot will go to another "defensive coordinator" to replace Donlon.
Popovich. M wins 13 Natl. Titles in a row.
Nichols would be my top guy from that list, also osu started sucking when Paulus got hired, there should be a better way to win recruiting battles than that. Also one of the guys needs to be a defensive coach, we got a former successful head coach last year, lets do that again.
Great Article from B Quinn
I'd go for Paulus and finnamore just to spite our enemies. but I know Beilein isn't as petty as me.
PSL guy on the staff who drives a 2017 Benz and can lure a couple couple of 6'10 dudes who will be top 5 NBA picks in 2 years. Before I get negged.. realize it is only basketball (yawn) and we have already been through it with the fab five.
Saw that one photo in the story and thought, "Mitch McGary would be perfect for the job."
