He has probably already…

He has probably already known this and may have already verified it. This one will probably get ugly.

Maybe? But it looks like he…

Maybe? But it looks like he has hair in that second pic, is that a wig? Man this guy is dumb and ballsy.

Interested to see if…

Interested to see if anything does come of the Twitter claims that Weiss and/or Stalions had "hours" of OSU practice footage on their computer.  Seems to be some message board smoke, which has come to fruition a few times with this whole thing.  My guess with this whole thing is that Stalions thought he found a loophole and was exploiting it, whereas this could never be seen that way, so I'm hoping its just a buckeye looking for more than is there.

Pretty impressive for an offensive tackle!!

We are winning tonight. Enjoy

That looks like a good hire,…

That looks like a good hire, but I’m hoping that the offense that we present will be so different from what he’s seen in the Big 12 that we can have success against them again.

It’s been funny to see the “we play like a Big 12 school” reaction to The Game from the OSU fans only to hire a Big 12 coordinator.

I think everyone was afraid…

I think everyone was afraid to give him credit until they saw how he stacked up against OSU. Then we all appreciated and respected him, but that got lost in the 6,000 other emotions/opinions we’ve had in the last week!

WOW.  So he takes an…

WOW.  So he takes an incentive based pay cut, only to earn those incentives and give it to those in the building who need it more.  A true leader!  Very lucky to have him.

Beautiful. Fuck Pete.

Beautiful. Fuck Pete.

How does this compare to…

How does this compare to Auburn/Alabama? Auburn has beat them 4 out of the last 11 (most recently in 2019) and I would imagine the recruiting gap is very similar.

Ohio State plans all year…

Ohio State plans all year for The Game, and always brings their best punch.  But I do think that the last two games have skewed our memory of how the game goes.  Don't forget that an O'Korn led team had the ball back with 2:40 left down 4 (only to throw an interception).  Or that we lost in double OT the year prior.  We have been in CLOSE games 2 of the last 4, and a lot of the reason for the blowouts was a DC that is no longer here.

#1, without question.

#1, without question.

So the last thing we should…

So the last thing we should do is exactly what we did the last two times we played them?? Thankful that Don Brown is gone, hopefully MacDonald can dial up a few stops.

I felt like this was a…

I felt like this was a relatively "quiet" game form him so I was curious to see where UFR/PFF came in at.  Looks like it wasn't so quiet after all!

I agree, not playoff ready…

I agree, not playoff ready yet. However, I’m hoping we get in, even if it means getting hamblasted like Notre Dame does. We need to get the “never been to a playoff “ stigma/monkey off our back to help with the mental side and recruiting.

Also, this was first road…

Also, this was first road game in front of a crowd.  Camp Randall is not an easy place to play, I think he earns some credit for, as you said, settling in and becoming more efficient as the game went on.

After rewatching, my…

After rewatching, my optimistic side says ~half of those "bad" passes are miscommunications between QB/WR.  I don't know who is to blame on them, but it just looked like Cade was throwing to a spot that the WR was not going to.  Hoping that we can get that figured out, and if so I think this becomes a good enough offense to win some big games down the road.

Overall, without the stress and anxiety of the original watch, I thought we better than expected.

I mean, in the first minute…

I mean, in the first minute he says he is "EXTREMELY cautious" about any optimism, and when Set says "Cade threw some good passes" then Brian comes in immediately to "correct" him by saying some were not good.  I feel like this is a downfall to the podcast in general- Seth says one general statement, and Brian is there to point to anything that disproves him.  It just always sounds like he's talking down to him, in my opinion.

This was not a great Wisconsin team, obviously.  However, this team had TWO chances to beat PSU, where we handled them convincingly.  First game of the year caveats apply, but they had a lot to play for on Saturday, including an outside chance to win the B1G West. This was a HUGE program win, I don't know how you can't get somewhat excited about that.

Agreed, he couldn’t seem to…

Agreed, he couldn’t seem to find any real positives after a really big win. Sounded much more like a post loss Podcast than win.

The only way that it doesn’t…

Double post

The only way that it doesn’t…

The only way that it doesn’t is if you lockdown until there is a vaccine, therefore you limited the spread then prevented the spread completely. But that assumes there will be an effective vaccine AND it will come in a reasonable amount of time.

From your perspective, when does lockdown end ? The absolute best case scenario is we get a vaccine in September- the country’s economy will be ruined by then. Plus, odds are it will be next March or later for a vaccine.

So it comes down to one question - WHEN can we end the lockdown and trust people to be smart (distance, mask, sanitize)?  Easy to say lockdown with no plan.

Exactly right.  I don't see…

Exactly right.  I don't see how people are so dense as to compare these strategies by current deaths, as opposed to looking at it a year or two years from now and showing the total numbers at that point.

A rough anaology for the two mothods is buying a car with cash or financing it.  Sweden has bought in cash, so they paid big time up front, where the lockdown countries are financing it and paying it over the long term.  If you compare the two bank accounts today, obviously it looks like Sweden made the wrong move.  However, compare at the end of the finance period and Sweden looks at least even.

Nobody knows exactly how this will play out but to assume that the lockdown is without question the best strategy, not taking into affect the economic and psychological effects that come with it, is just blind and crazy.

If he did leave, I would be…

If he did leave, I would be interested in hearing his parting shots.  He would certainly give a glowing review of Michigan and only have the best of wishes.  However, if there is truth to the financial disadvantages he has gone up against, I'm sure he would have a nice airing of grievances!

I think most people would…

I think most people would say it started the week before against Indiana. That game was a bad omen

I agree, especially with a…

I agree, especially with a first year starting QB (albeit a very talented one).  They haven't played a single road game of ANY difficulty.  Their combined road opponents record is 15-25, 6-22 in the B1G. None of those teams have beaten a team with a winning record, including Indiana!! They will be out of their comfort zone coming into AA!

Yes, similar situations,…

Yes, similar situations, although I would say we had no hope that year due to QB play.

One thing that Michigan has…

One thing that Michigan has working for it this year is there is considerably less pressure on them to win this year than any of the last four under Harbaugh.  They will be huge dogs at home, with no shot at the B1G championship.  The talent gap may be too much to overcome, but we may be pleased that the way things worked up to this point to allow them to focus on The Game and absolutely nothing else.

You are 100% correct, which…

You are 100% correct, which is why this is more laugh at Sparty for getting caught than breaking the rules. I know on very good word that one of our best players from last year took PEDs and of at least one on the team now is taking them. I don’t blame anyone for doing it, so much pressure to perform and so much wear and tear on the body that it should almost be encouraged for recovery in some instances. Such a violent game.

This is unfortunately a very…

This is unfortunately a very real possibility. The biggest difference from this team and other in the past is that our defense is pretty pedestrian and (in my opinion) not capable of keeping us games like they have in the past. I’m typically able to see the positives in the team and hope they will grow while the negatives shrink, however this team does not give me optimism in any area. Offensive line is inconsistent, QB play has been bad, RB is ok with a lot of fumbles, WR aren’t getting the ball and not making much out of the opportunities that they do get (Collins/Bell being the exception), DL needs a Hurst/Winovich level pass rusher, LB is inconsistent with Mcgrone understandably making some mistakes to offset his great plays, safeties are a non factor and corners are also inconsistent outside of Thomas. I just don’t see how we win more than 2-3 games at most in that stretch.

Every team we’ve beaten this…

Every team we’ve beaten this year lost yesterday, that may be a problem.

No. LSU Used to but found a QB and a new offensive identity. Michigan can’t seem to find either.

Shea and Dylan don’t sound like they’re the best of buds.............

While you are correct in…

While you are correct in your point, let’s not let this argument give too much credit to the 2016 offense was in the bottom half (69th) of total offense.

Crazy to think that Gary…

Crazy to think that Gary could’ve easily been on this Clemson Dline...

Not when it comes from a…

Not when it comes from a player as opposed to us fans (I’ve complained as much as anyone). Maybe Patterson/the players can actually influence philosophy.

I agree. The game has lost…

I agree. The game has lost most of its amateurism and the good teams are SO good that it takes a perfect storm to beat them. It also seems like the “middle class” is disappearing and it’s just the super elite followed by the “pretty goods”. I have cut down my football watching, that’s for sure.

Lol, band wagon fan. If…

Lol, band wagon fan. If Michigan doesn’t with the B1G next year that will make it TWO DECADES without a conference title and one win over OSU. At what point do you go from band wagon fan to a rational person that realizes it makes no sense to financially support a lost cause ?

Falling apart may be an over…

Falling apart may be an over statement, but it’s really bad. We have had 4  years (3.5 to the apologists) of Harbaughs recruiting with 4 stars littered throughout the roster and nothing to show for it. The 2016 and 2018 teams were LOADED with talent and came up short. We have been patient for a decade and have not gotten anything from it. Sure, Harbaugh has only been here for 40% of that, but when he comes in touted as one of the best coaches in all of football (college and pro) and is paid like it, he should have to produce. I have committed to one  more year and if it resembles the last 2 I will be done with the season tickets that have been in the family for decades.

2018 MSU- worst offense in…

2018 MSU- worst offense in the big ten and playing in the rain.  Seriously, they were awful, couldn’t complete passes to wide open receivers

2018 PSU- Hurt Mcsorley without much ability to run

2018 Wisconsin- Hornibrook is terrible and they abandoned the run despite it working

2016 was a much better defense but I think his scheme has since been figured out and exploited without much adjustment. Recensy bias or not, these past two games happened. The first half of ND happened. He puts his defense in tough positions where if they execute perfectly, all is well, but there is such a small margin of error with it. Teams have it figured out now and I am sure we’ll see it all over again next year.

I’m not so sure Don Brown is…

I’m not so sure Don Brown is a nice thing...

Love the guy’s fire and persona but the defense never shows up when it matters.

I have him four years and I…

I have him four years and I’m sticking to that. If they are good next year, great, but it still took too long to get there. Unfortunately, I see another 8-4, 9-3 season in the works. I hardly even care though, honestly.

And when you look at how…

And when you look at how much wear and tear a football player takes, and how it affects them for the rest of your life, why wouldn’t you take something that helps your body recover faster ?

There are high profile…

There are high profile players on Michigan using PEDs, so I have been told by people that would know. Yes, I hate when people post stuff like this without names/proof. However, when I heard it it was a good way to knock me off my high horse, so maybe it will work for some people around here too.

Or he’s hurt?

Or he’s hurt?

The offense could be SO good…

The offense could be SO good if they opened it up next year. Unfortunately I do not see that happening.

I was going to say the same…

I was going to say the same. Would a top flight QB want to go to Wisconsin?  Probably not, they are an offense built around running the ball.  Michigan has become the same thing.  Michigan is 106th in the country in pass attempts per game (25.9). Shockingly, this was DOWN from last year's O'Korn/Peters/Speight debacle (26.6).  I really wish Harbaugh would open things up for a change.  Hell, in 2015 we were at least 67th at 31.9/game.  I fear we are both wasting incredible WR talent (DPJ/Black/Collins) and scaring away top flight WRs and QBs.

I was honestly surprised we didn't see more frustration this year out of Patterson. We spent so much GD time running the ball against every opponent that he never got into a great rhythm.

SC-  maybe I've missed it…

SC-  maybe I've missed it buried in this thread, but did have a much lower blitz rate this game than usual? I don't recall seeing 5-6 guys getting after the QB much at all.  We were already manned up on everyone, seems liked we could've rolled the dice with it some more.

Also- I was annoyed that they never tried out Ambry Thomas at the nickel- your thoughts there?

Maybe 3 zone reads all day…

Maybe 3 zone reads all day and not one RPO? Am I wrong?
