Michigan Vs. Maryland Open Thread...

Submitted by LSAClassOf2000 on

Here's your open thread for Michigan / Maryland - 'tis an awful weather day here in MI, but let's beat the Terrapins all the same. I, for one, have two glasses of port wine in me already, so I am set.

Also, it assumes we still stopped them on that 3rd and 2 without the timeout.  Otherwise Maryland is +4 in points as well likely.  It's annoying we need to call those kinds of TOs, but given the product on the field it was not a horrid decision from a game management viewpoint.

I think I'm going to use halftime to order a nice smoked meat sampler box for Borges with a custom "I'm sorry about most of the means things I said" note.

Timeouts are such a waste on this team.

Hoke should just call them all with the first 3 plays of the first quarter and third quarter just to get them out of the way.  Otherwise, they just appear to be a pointless distraction to him.

Wow.

It was completely embarrassing watching our offensive coordinator have to call a timeout before time ran out and our head coach looking clueless and totally aware of the time on the clock.

The fact that he can't master clock management is befuddling to me.

There are 13 year olds who've only played NCAA Football and Madden that know how to manage the clock and timeouts better than Brady Hoke.

He may be a great DL coach. But as a head coach, he's just a substitute teacher. He's a Pop Warner dad.

Everyone right for Pizza Hut after the game?

According to Wikipedia Dale Klein (Nebraska v Missouri, 1985) and Mike Prindle (Western Michigan vs. Marshall, 1984) share the FBS record with 7 field goals.  I couldn't find the record for combined field goals from 2 teams.
