I'm only 3 episodes into season 2 and am finding myself in that limbo of some shows where it hasn't gotten bad enough to dump out of it but I'm no longer all that intrigued any more either. I do want to "see what happens" but, that's about it. I think this feeling has something to do with plausibility going completely through the wood chipper. I know, for example, Breaking Bad stretched plausibility to its limits but it's hard to sell that a Walter White- or Dexter-style character could roam free in the White House. That's a little different than Albuquerque.
The Molly Parker as Jaqueline Sharp character could be compelling no?
And, as always, no spoilers please.

My family and I were on the same plan to the Final Four in New Orleans as Zack and we approached him at baggage claim just to tell him we were fans and enjoyed his career. He was really nice and let me take a picture of him with my youngest son. I would say 6'4" is probably about right (I'm 6'3") but may be generous. We asked him about his degree and what his plans were now and he said "start businesses."

I can tell from the pixels and the headset and sleeves.

I'M ... SOOOOO ... HAPPPEEEEE!!!!!!
Winged helmet = happy helmet.
|14 weeks 3 days ago||Awesome post so quickly after the hire,||
and the last half of your last paragraph was stellar ... It's why we haven't seen a full-out blazing basketball-on-grass offense like Kelly's Oregon, Leach's TTU, Briles' Baylor, or RichRod's WVa (among others) win the MNC. Oregon always seems to falter once or twice each year against a Stanford, and was held in check in the '10 NCG ... WVa steamrolled through the Big East in '07 only to play the clunker against Pitt ... so on, so forth.

|14 weeks 4 days ago||I got beat up||
earlier in this thread by suggesting that Hoke would not be able to hold his own in that coach-talk megacast and admittedly crossed the line into attacking his propensity to not form a complete sentence ... but I'm not backing off it in the offseason and I appreciate posts that share my concerns. He's being paid millions, but there is hard evidence to suggest that his "strategic acumen" or "range" if you will is still limited to recruiter/D-line guru/cheerleader. After what we heard from the team before the BDub Bowl, I'm scratching off 'motivator' for now.
|14 weeks 5 days ago||Would love to see them do that coach-talk session again||
and often. Lose the split-screen and give us a full view during plays, and assign Millen to the GoDaddy bowl the night before so he can't make it back in time for the title game.
|14 weeks 5 days ago||If this were any other team besides 2013 Auburn||
this game would be over, but...
|14 weeks 5 days ago||Millen wonders if they should go for 2.||
Would have been precious if the coaches all facepalmed.
|14 weeks 5 days ago||Fair enough.||
Crossed the line there. A little frustration from this past season coming through.
|14 weeks 5 days ago||Yeah, I uh, wasn't trolling.||
It was an honest question about our head coach and was curious about this board's opinion.
|14 weeks 5 days ago||Your point is well taken. He often struggles to put a coherent||
sentence together in pressers and interviews (at least from what I've seen/heard) but maybe that's not his thing. To turn my comment around and consider your view, I would LOVE to see Brady sitting in the room with these gentlemen and see how he does ... he would likely surprise me, I suppose.
|14 weeks 5 days ago||Ok, guys … imagine Brady Hoke sitting in on this film session.||
What does he bring to the table? He of the no-headset approach who leaves all this x and o stuff to his coordinators. I suppose he could comment on D-line technique. I don't even feel good about how he would represent himself in that room let alone how many light years away he seems from being on that sideline.
|14 weeks 5 days ago||Then Addazio chimes in on the subject as if||
Boston College has ever been on TV.
|14 weeks 5 days ago||Sumlin makes an ABSOLUTELY great observation on||
|14 weeks 5 days ago||Pitt HC Paul Chryst and Boston College's coach Addazio.||
And our pals Millen and Spielman.
|14 weeks 5 days ago||Yeah they could at least shrink the ESPN broadcast view to||
a smaller thumbnail. The two views are virtually the same when the play is running, so having two view that are almost the same size thereby making each view half-size is silly.
|14 weeks 5 days ago||I wish they'd just show a single-screen view on the||
Megacast. The picture-in-picture is definitely a user-experience kink they need to iron out for next time they do this -- which I hope is more often next season.
|14 weeks 5 days ago||Briles? That would be awesome, but that's not Briles.||
You may be thinking Paul Chryst is Briles.
|14 weeks 5 days ago||Man LeBron could have really hurt that half court shot dude.||
Easy big fella.
|14 weeks 5 days ago||I personally find Millen's contributions to be profound.||
With Auburn up 21-3 in the second quarter, who else would have had the insighfulness to observe: "Auburn is in the perfect spot right now."
|15 weeks 2 days ago||I don't like our uniforms||
They look like some sort of women's blouse. wtf Adidas
|16 weeks 2 days ago||Isn't Christian Hackenberg a true freshman||
and didn't he and Shane come out of school along with USC's Max Browne as the three '13 QB studs? I realize Shane missed most of his senior year and didn't enroll early but if Hackenberg could play well this year why can't Morris?
If he plays well there is no QB controversy, come on man. Gardner has earned the right to be the senior starter in '14. Even if Shane looks like Peyton Manning running Borges' offense, that should just make us excited for '15 (and also for '14 knowing Gardner can maybe risk designed runs a little more).
|17 weeks 1 day ago||My input to this discussion||
is that I thought it was a funny way to hopefully get us to lighten up about recruiting and the current state of things. As should probably be expected with this bunch, however, it backfired.
|17 weeks 3 days ago||Almost??||
|17 weeks 4 days ago||I'd be in favor of Penn State … what about doing like||
this year's (I know, dreadful, and I think on BTN) game in Happy Valley and do a 6:00 start or something like that on ESPN? Or 8:00, whatever. I don't think Utah or Minnesota would create much excitement.
If we do that, the future schedules set up where UM could play an early-ish Big Ten game against a "brand name" team in early October each year — I've heard a Bill Simonson interview with Dave Brandon where he's used almost those exact words to describe what he envisions. So...
2014 Penn State
2017 Michigan State (yes, I know ... perhaps a 5 or 6:00 start?)
Each of these games falls within the first two weeks of October. Perhaps in 2020 that rotation can begin again and we'll skip Minny, Purdue, Indiana, Illinois, Maryland and Rutgers (and maybe NW next time around) unless one of them suddenly becomes consistently good.
Love UTL ... been to both of 'em. Looking forward to more.
