NCAA Friday games - Who you rooting hard for/against?

Submitted by bluebygod on March 29th, 2019 at 4:58 PM

I will root for Auburn.  Make Chuck happy.

For VT to beat Dook...just because.

(secretly rooting for MSU to win -- for the B1G's sake.)

Not just directed at you OP but when are you all going to realize that other B1G teams doing well nationally--ESPECIALLY RIVALS--does not help us?

Fuck the other 13 teams in this league. You know damn well none of their fans would ever root for us.

I hope LSU beats them by 35. And if they don't, I hope Zion humiliates them.

Y’ever interact with people off of the internet? lots of b1g fans were pulling for michigan last year. They just arent on twitter or message boards.. like 95% of the fans aren’t

If an MSU win would somehow benefit Michigan, I'd root for Sparty.

It won't, and I won't.

The only team I'm rooting for is Purdue, and that's mainly to see the nightmarish Purdue Pete at courtside on national TV. If the Boilers faced the Tarheels in the NC game, then Michigan will have beaten the championship game contestants.

ESPN on my mobile agrees with you, but both my laptop and my wife's desktop have the same thing: South playing the East.

I don't think it's a computer loading thing—I think it's just a pretty significant graphic fuckup.

None of these teams are likable except for VT lol

For the rest of the tourney, I'm rooting the winner of the West region and Virginia. I think it would be incredible if Virginia wins after their first round loss last year. The ultimate redemption, and Tony Bennett from a personal standpoint is a lot like Beilein. He's just a really good guy, and he handled that adversity last year really well.

Virginia isnt the most exciting team to watch, but it is very technically sound. I think Michigan fans could get in board with Virginia as they're another team very likely doing it the right way at an elite level

Anyone but Texas Tech and MSU is ok by me. Purdue would be next in team I least want to win.

We lost so I probably won't watch another minute. It's the bonus sadness of Michigan losses. Once we're out I can no longer enjoy the other games, ditto in football, once we're out of the playoff/conference race I have 0 interest in watching other games.

The only thing I really care about at this point is MSU losing because MSU fans are such jackasses. Which is a shame, because if they wore any other jersey I'd root for a team with Tillman, Winston, a walk on who magically suddenly makes 3's, and a McPoyle. I'd also like to see Duke, UNC, and Kentucky lose, but likely not enough to watch any of these games, just to check the scores and give a small 'yay.'

I’m rooting for some good pics at the Ann Arbor Film Festival. After watching that game last night with Seth and Matt Demorest (thanks again for the free beer) I think I’ll take a night off from B-ball.. Secondly thanks to WCBN for the free passes. I’m not sure how many people still listen to live local (alternative) radio anymore but it sure makes my odds better for free swag.

Rooting for Texas Tech.

They played a hell of a game.  I like the game they play.  If they can shut down everybody & win it all it makes Michigan look better.

(I also think Matthews should come back & spend every second practicing shooting 3's.)

Rooting for lsu. If lsu wins then v-tech. If lsu loses then dook to keep the fire wall. I'm ok with Purdue. Don't care much else.  No cinderellas left.

And Michigan's sake?  Do you think it's in our best interests for our in-state rival to advance further than us?

Oddly, I find myself rooting for MSU-at least until the game starts-and I have nothing against Purdue. Are there some good guys out there to root for instead? Go Big Ten, and I think I know some Spartys who would root for us- they just don’t go on message boards.

Well I hate the SEC, so screw LSU, Kentucky. For MSU, you kinda just have to tip your cap. Cassius seems like a good dude.

Anyone but Duke. I have NC in my bracket but I always root for the underdog. Duke going down would pretty much make up for Michigan's loss yesterday. I hate Duke.

Want to see LSU lose, since it is beyond dispute they were buying players.  And Duke, because obviously.  Also would be happy to see UNC and KY go down.
