the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection

| 1 week 4 days ago | This is perfect timing, now |
This is perfect timing, now we have more of a shot that Andrew Wiggins' nickname can be 'Ender.' Though it'd be more exciting if he was coming here instead of UK, KU, UNC, or FSU. |

You are on crazy pills. "I'm leaving" = "I'm out" = "I'm outie." Rappers being rappers said "hey, 'outie' sounds like 'Audi,' lets spice it up a bit and say 'Audi 5000.'" Any car related references are just a pun. |

Speaking of outrageous names, just saw this St John's player--God'sgift Achiuwa. |
| 2 weeks 2 days ago | As a non-rich, out of state |
As a non-rich, out of state former student who went to his first Michigan game while still in the womb and wore nothing but UofM clothes growing up and only got half-season tickets my freshmen year because it was '97 and that was the year before renovations and apparently the only year ever where student demand > supply....much rings false with this posting! I don't really care though, I just found that funny, I also suck at grammar, go blue. Unrelated, anyone else get pissed off whenever peole refer to Michigan as 'Big Blue?' |

Oh man, I hated that about school. For example after reading the foreword to Huckleberry Finn in which Twain says there isn't a point to the story we proceed to spend weeks analyzing the shit out of it. |
| 4 weeks 2 days ago | I watched a video yesterday |
I watched a video yesterday were Hand said he needed to correct people and that VT was not his favorite school, just that Bud Foster is his favorite coach, that if he were just a regular guy he thinks they'd be good friends. His praise of UofM was the most effusive and he said we had 'an amazing coaching staff.' |
| 5 weeks 4 days ago | No, it assumes that being two |
No, it assumes that being two to four years older will make you smarter about your finances, which I think is a fairly safe assumption. Also you will have that degree to fall back on, people always say 'you can always go back,' but how are you going to afford $30k a year for tuition if you're now broke? And my other point was that the only people who are financially worse off by not going pro at the earliest opportunity are the superstars with 10+ year careers, and at that point does it really matter if you have 600 million compared to 500 million? Isn't hedging your bets more important? |
| 5 weeks 4 days ago | According to SI: • By the |
According to SI: • By the time they have been retired for two years, 78% of former NFL players have gone bankrupt or are under financial stress because of joblessness or divorce. • Within five years of retirement, an estimated 60% of former NBA players are broke.
There's a good espn 30 for 30 about this called 'Broke,' it really should be required viewing for all recently drafted players. It's available on netflix streaming. If your career is likely to only last a few years does it really matter if that spans 20-24 versus 22-26? You're not getting cut because you're too old you're getting cut because you haven't performed. It seems to me that getting that education and hopefully getting smarter about finances is far more worthwhile. If everything works out perfectly and you're a star who stays in the league until hes 35, does it really matter if your career started when you were 18 or 20 or 22? If you pushed Kobe and LeBron's first four years into college, would they be worse players or a smaller star or significantly less well off? No they wouldn't, but they would have a degree, a college legacy, and great memories of great college success.
Stay in school! |

hype: exaggerated publicity; hoopla. I don't understand what was confusing. |
| 5 weeks 5 days ago | I'm surprised Oladipo is |
I'm surprised Oladipo is leaving, about as surprised as all the POY hype he got. I thought he would and should stay and potentially be a star next year with a more developed game and higher usage.
I'm confused about this though: "The junior....Oladipo, who is on track to graduate in May." How is a junior athlete graduating in three years? Don't think he redshirted. Not a suspicious-they-must-be-cheating question, I'm genuinely curious how that's possible. |
| 5 weeks 5 days ago | Webber is one of my favorite |
Webber is one of my favorite basketball players of all time and that team was one of the most exciting teams of all time. I hardly even care about the whole Ed Martin thing and the more I hear about it the less I blame the players. I love Webber, always will, and was very happy to see him show up even after all the rest of the fab five kept saying in interviews that they didn't think he'd show. |

draught is just the British way of spelling 'draft,' its pronounced 'draft' and means the same thing. |
| 5 weeks 5 days ago | Assuming we continue |
Assuming we continue recruiting and developing as we have for the past couple years, I'm pretty sure we can compete with and beat a one and done program like Kentucky when our seniors are players like Hardaway, Stauskas, Levert, Albrecht, Morgan, Horford and having freshmen-juniors like McGary, Burke, GRIII. It's only recently the recruiting has gotten good and this year's team has one junior who is a major player, one who is a role-player, and 0 contributing seniors. When those juniors and seniors start being those players who aren't quite NBA players every year while we have future NBA players coming in for two to three years with them, I think we'll be better than any freshman heavy team. After all, the fab 5 got blown out by Duke, and the sophmore edition lost to UNC. I'd rather win with 2-4 year players than one and done's anyways because you get to build a (one-way) relationship with the players. |

Still pissed this morning, we won this game and the referees awarded it to Louisville. |

So we have 5 seniors gone and almost certainly 1-4 players leaving early yet our incoming class is 3 players? Shouldn't we have gotten more guys? |
| 5 weeks 6 days ago | On a positive note, Burke |
On a positive note, Burke said winning the championship would make it easier to leave, so having lost we gain a few % points and maybe he'll pull a Lewan. Basketball careers last a lot longer than football ones so its not like he needs to get there in a hurry. |
| 5 weeks 6 days ago | I'm just going to convince |
I'm just going to convince myself we won by 15 as we would have were the referees not determined to give UL the win. Congrats UofM for being the 2013 bball champs, now we've got two! |

I disagree, watching that live I thought to myself how that is a blatant charge and easy call and wasn't worried like I usually am by most 50/50 random block/charges. |

| 6 weeks 3 days ago | I've watched a fair amount of |
I've watched a fair amount of Syacuse games this year because I wanted to see who this MCW guy thats supposed to be as good or better than Burke is (btw thats a laughable statement). MCW is a horrible shooter and has pretty bad handles and turns it over a lot. He's athletic and gets to the rim a lot which can create a dunk/layup or an easy assist. As much as I hate the 'clutch' thing, he does seem to be clutch. He'll be bricking away all game every game but then the game is on the line and he hits a big three or makes some other nice play. If not for his late game heroics I'd say he's extremely overhyped. Triche seemed like the far better player in every game I watched, I was surprised to see how low his 3pt shooting percentage is. Overall their offensive talent is mediocre but they have a lot of athleticism. |
| 6 weeks 3 days ago | Every time we've gone to the |
Every time we've gone to the 1-3-1 this season we give up an easy uncontested three or layup and then go back to man. I'd prefer to not spot the other team two or three free points. I know everyone likes to say we beat Pitt because of the 1-3-1, I remember reading that after watching the game and thinking 'what the hell game were they watching,' but even if that is/were true, every other game it has been free points. |
| 6 weeks 3 days ago | I'd feel much better about |
I'd feel much better about this game if not for the trouncing they gave IU. IU ws never in that game and looked incredibly flustered by that defense. IU is a more efficient offense than ours, has better three-point shooters, and has a better, taller big man in the center. The only thing we have on them is Burke. I won't be surprised if our offense looks awful and we get trounced and I won't be surprised if we bomb away from three and beat them by twenty, I really have no idea what to expect from this game. |

| 7 weeks 6 days ago | Does http://www.ncaa.com/marc |
Does http://www.ncaa.com/march-madness-live/ not work overseas? I know you can only watch for 4 hours (cbs games forever), however you can watch as many replays as you like. I spent all of Sunday evening watching games on there, I just had to squint mye yes and cover parts of the screen before getting it in full screen mode because they don't make it easy to not see the scores, if you dont full screen it it shows the final score in huge numbers across the top for the entire duration....pretty dumb. But you can practice on Thursday games! |
