So many open looks for IUPUI...the defense scares me going forward.

It is IUPUI. Therefore, it would be EEYW POOEY. Which I like better anyway.

The the only other thing I've got to say about this is that the palindrome of Bolton would be Notlob.

damn iupui raining it down from the arc. not bad perimeter D from Michigan, either.
November 12th, 2012 at 9:33 PM ^
More like we're draining everything. 5-7!
November 12th, 2012 at 9:31 PM ^
GERG-esque D in this one. Gotta wonder if pushing the tempo like this is gonna run this team down on defense all year.

GRIII is really good. Also Vogrich isn't going to start all season.
November 12th, 2012 at 9:37 PM ^
We are killing the 3 ball this year...We need to work on our post game...Morgan or McGary have to have some sort of back-to-the-basket arsenal
November 12th, 2012 at 9:38 PM ^
That was Morgan? I be like dang!

MOAR DEATHSTAR

3:51 left in the half and we're into the "Cool Story Bro" part of the broadcast.

Stauskus is LETHAL...WOW
November 12th, 2012 at 9:43 PM ^
Holy moly this team can shoot.

Dear Tim Hardaway Jr.,
Please quit taking contested long 2 pt jumpers,
k thnx.
November 12th, 2012 at 9:44 PM ^
Tim still forcing it at times.

It's still early, and maybe it's because I played basketball for a defensive minded coach, but hopefully Beilein shores up the defense over the course of the season. This will probably end up a blowout, but playing good D is going to be crucial for a team that has no problem scoring.
November 12th, 2012 at 9:46 PM ^
5 freshman...D will take some time

is Jordan Morgan's new nickname "The Deathstar?"
November 12th, 2012 at 11:09 PM ^
You just won the internet! What are you going to do?
November 12th, 2012 at 9:48 PM ^
They're giving Morgan a lot of room inside off of his cuts..hopefully we feed him a little bit down there in the 2nd half
November 12th, 2012 at 9:49 PM ^
This team can certainly score.

Burke's cross-over dribble is looking a lot better this season. The one on that last drive reminded me a great deal of how Jimmer would set people up before crossing them over.
November 12th, 2012 at 9:49 PM ^
I'm glad we got Stauskas this year...Burke is going to be looking at serious NBA $ at the end of the year.
November 12th, 2012 at 9:53 PM ^
I hope he is by season's end, but I don't think he is a top pick at this point. He is a very good college point guard, but he over dribbles at times, still has a tad too many turnovers and has questionable decision making at times. Don't take this as me saying I want anyone else as M's point guard, but he is undersized by NBA standards and unless he develops more as a playmaker and cuts down on TOs and questionable decisions he won't be a top pick IMO.
November 12th, 2012 at 10:00 PM ^
If he demonstrates better decisionmaking this year, while continuing to be able create off the dribble, he'll probably play himself to a late 1st round pick.
After flirtingwith the NBA as a fringe second-rounder, I think the temptation maybe too much for Trey.
Don't get me wrong; would love him to stay, but I don't begrudge him the chance...
November 12th, 2012 at 9:54 PM ^
Him and Spike are ggoing to be really important to this program, Stauskas to spread the floor with his shot and Spike as a reliable ball-handler to give Trey a breather now and to be a stabilizer if a freshman Derrick Walton isn't ready immediately next year
November 12th, 2012 at 9:50 PM ^
Some iffy D, and not much inside game.
HOWEVA! When you can shoot 70% on 3's against D1 competition, well... screw the inside game!
November 12th, 2012 at 9:57 PM ^
Both of those issues should improve when we get McGary and Horford (both of whom could be better than Morgan) healthy. This team has crazy talent.
November 12th, 2012 at 9:50 PM ^
Cut to Texas just in time to see this Prince character throw up a free throw even Shaq would laugh at. How can you play basketball and be that bad of a shooter?

The thing I don't get about him is that, in warmups, I would see him go 8-10 straight makes multiple times...but something just happens in the games, even when he gets looks that are similarily open and in the flow of the offense.
