Excuse me, sir, I have a question. Will your snake oil scalp tonic help me grow dreads?
December 7th, 2010 at 3:45 PM ^
...is unimpressed.
December 7th, 2010 at 4:08 PM ^
I'm guessing that guys house doesn't smell like fresh baked cookies.
December 7th, 2010 at 4:19 PM ^
I'd say "baked" is correct.
December 7th, 2010 at 2:30 PM ^
A product review of snake oil lush:
I MYSELF HAVE DREADLOCKS PAST MY BUM SO AS YOU CAN GUESS I FREAK RIGHT OUT AT THE THOUGHT OF LICE. ALSO THE AGRAVATING ITCHY DRY SCALP AND DANDRIFF THAT DREADS CAUSE BECOMES A THING OF THE PAST. SO THIS PRODUCT IS A BEAUTIFUL THING MY LUSHIOUS FRIENDS!
So i guess it does not help grow dreads, however it does aid in dandruff and dry scalp associated with dreads. NO this is not my own personal product review of snake oil lush.

I'll settle for just hair. I have yet to see any results from Rogaine
December 7th, 2010 at 2:10 PM ^
That's just water under the bridge.
P.S. GO BLUE TEDDY!
December 7th, 2010 at 2:10 PM ^
don't think we'd land him even if we offered him...
but we are in need of a QB in this class to replace sousa (Jones..?)
would be awesome if we got him though!
December 7th, 2010 at 2:12 PM ^
we need defense, not QBs. We have Crawford coming in who can be an emergency qb if we needed it. Please use it on LB
December 7th, 2010 at 2:15 PM ^
Quite obviously the coach of the University of Michigan Football team disagrees with you.
December 7th, 2010 at 2:59 PM ^
(or at least my sig line)
December 7th, 2010 at 4:19 PM ^
Not many times do I laugh out loud at my computer in the library, but this is one of them. The first time was funny, but the second time - comedic gold.
December 7th, 2010 at 2:17 PM ^
You say that now, but when we put in a corner at QB you'll pull your hair out and curse the coaches for not having a second/third/whatever QB.
December 7th, 2010 at 2:16 PM ^
Um no, we need the depth at CB. If we don't get a QB this class, it's not the worst thing in the world with DG redshirting, but Crawford will not be playing any QB I bet.
Bridgewater would be a nice pickup at QB but who knows what will happen.
December 7th, 2010 at 3:09 PM ^
i think it's important to get a solid QB in every class. i remember when we had the #1 QB (Henson). we didn't emphasize the QB recruiting the next year. so when Henson left early, the unheralded Soph John Navarre took over. we endured a couple years of pain before he had a very good senior year.
luckily navarre didn't get hurt. who the hell would have been the QB then? Gonzalez? and he wasn't much of a passer.

Completely agree and great point about Henson leaving early.
Gonzalez? and he wasn't much of a passer.
Completely disagree. Gonzalez was a great high school QB and was so unlucky to have been hurt when he finally would have gotten his shot. Enter freshman named Henne instead and the rest is history. Gonzalez did get drafted by the Pats (meaning he could throw the ball).
December 7th, 2010 at 3:35 PM ^
I'm fairly sure that Jermaine Gonzales didn't get drafted, but I could be wrong.
EDIT: Are you talking about Matt Gutierrez? Huge difference.
December 7th, 2010 at 3:38 PM ^
SHIT! You're right (and that sucks because I have a quasi-feud with you) it was Matt Gutierrez... FUCK!!!
It's like when you get the Final Jeopardy category and it is "sports" so you bet it all and they give an answer about fucking figure skating.
December 7th, 2010 at 3:55 PM ^
Figure skating is my cup of tea. I own that category. I know all about Nancy Culligan, Tonya G. Harding, and Alexander Hamilton.
December 7th, 2010 at 4:16 PM ^
it's Alexander Graham Bell, pshhh Alexander Hamilton..what was he thinking
December 7th, 2010 at 4:22 PM ^
Tonya G. Harding could have been one of the greatest ever if she hadn't blown it with that damn Teapot Dome scandal. Joe Paterno tried to warn her about that, but she wouldn't listen.

"And the answer is: 'When this skater traveled to the year 3010, he fought the evil robot kings and saved the human race again.'"
December 7th, 2010 at 3:42 PM ^
i'm pretty sure gonzalez was the backup to navarre and ended his career as a WR. caught a few TDs too, iirc.
December 7th, 2010 at 3:35 PM ^
I think you're confusing Gutierrez and Gonzales
December 7th, 2010 at 3:40 PM ^
Is that racist? I feel all weird now...
December 7th, 2010 at 4:43 PM ^
+1 for the laugh out loud that this elicited.
December 7th, 2010 at 3:50 PM ^
Gonzalez was a great high school QB and was so unlucky to have been hurt when he finally would have gotten his shot. Enter freshman named Henne instead and the rest is history.
I assume he's talking about Jermaine Gonzales (#18, QB converted to WR, not drafted), while you're talking about Matt Gutierrez (#12, never lost a game in HS, backed up Henne, transferred to Idaho State).
EDIT: Beaten to the punch. Hamburgers.
December 7th, 2010 at 4:01 PM ^
didn't want to play QB as he wanted to play WR. We could use somebody who could play both.
December 7th, 2010 at 3:52 PM ^
No QB in this class makes 2013 look something like this:
RS Junior Gardner
RS Freshman No-name
Another RS Freshman No-name?
True Freshman No-name
Another True Freshman No-name?
I think I'd like a RS sophomore in there.
December 7th, 2010 at 2:11 PM ^
Another decommit? I can't greeking take this anymore. Can't Brandon make his decision already? First Hart, then Sousa now this guy?
Oh . . . wait. Ok, carry on.
December 7th, 2010 at 2:14 PM ^
No need to take this out on the Greeks.
Now about the world economy...
December 7th, 2010 at 2:13 PM ^
That'd be a nice Christmas gift.
December 7th, 2010 at 2:35 PM ^
True, but I'm still holding out for a copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops. Is that strange, being that I'm a 35-year-old father of one and will have to stay up late-night to play?
December 7th, 2010 at 2:42 PM ^
I'm a little older than you and just finished the game. Btw, this game has some of the most "colorful" language in recent memory.
December 7th, 2010 at 2:42 PM ^
Nope, that's defined as dedication.
December 7th, 2010 at 2:47 PM ^
I am a 36 year old father of quadruplet 2 year olds and I am holding out for that as well. No shame in that my friend...I guess there is a chance we are both strange and me wanting it doesn't absolve you, but I will hold on to the idea that we are the normal ones.
December 7th, 2010 at 2:56 PM ^
Holy shit! I have one 2.5 year old and I feel like I'm operating at 100% of capacity every day. I can't imagine walking a day in your shoes! What a wild ride it must be. +1 to you, sir.
(FWIW, I like to think of myself as normal so maybe that makes you normal too?)
December 7th, 2010 at 3:23 PM ^
And yes, it is a wild ride. We have 3 boys and a girl and keeping up with them is a full time job. I think we are fortunate that this is the first time we had children in the house (I have a 16 year old daughter from a previous relationship that lives with her mom) so being our first experience, we don't know any different. It is hard, but I don't think we have had any more difficulty adapting to 4 than most do with one (which I am sure we would have found very difficult had we had them one at a time).
I totally get your 100% capacity though, there aren't many times that I don't feel exhausted. When I am not staying up all night with crying kids I am getting calls from the hospital to come back to work.
Anyway, another+1 to you for being a Dad who loves COD.
December 7th, 2010 at 6:02 PM ^
here is the real question are the boys in skates yet???
December 7th, 2010 at 3:51 PM ^
+4 to you sir. If I could, that is.
December 7th, 2010 at 5:27 PM ^
As my Dad always said, it's the thought that counts! Now if only I could convince my wife of thaa when she opens her Christmas presents!
December 7th, 2010 at 3:59 PM ^
I have a cat and a wife and can't find time to play video games.
December 7th, 2010 at 6:36 PM ^
I'm looking forward to a defensive backfield of all of your children in 20 years. Unless we're still playing in the 3-3-5. Then you better get crackin' on the 5th.
December 7th, 2010 at 2:55 PM ^
While I may be 11 years younger than you, I am in the same boat. I have the game and am only able to play it late at night because I have a 4 month old son. I think everyone, regardless of age, needs that release that only comes from killing a bunch of doodz with submachine guns.
December 7th, 2010 at 3:14 PM ^
I'm the same age as you and I play all I want because I refuse to have children or a wife/fiance neener neener.
/the 20s are slipping away from me quickly.... sigh.
