You don't have to be an expert to enjoy music. Ace was talking about something he would enjoy, and I happen to agree with him. If you mean you wouldn't enjoy walking into G-Mat listening to those songs, then I feel for you.

You completely ignored my main point, so let's push the distraction, the out of bounds call, aside. My beef is that Johnson was called for an offensive foul (an obvious one, I admit) directly after an equally obvious defensive foul. As a ref, in the final seconds of the game, you simply can't do that. It was a terrible, game-changing call.
I understand the tendency to develop tunnel vision and focus only on the last play or so. That's a mistake.

Go back and look at it. The Wisconsin player touched the ball last. You can see the ball change spin.
Also, an offensive foul call directly after there should have been a call against Wisconsin for body contact while an Arizona player is driving, all of this occuring in the final few seconds...
Perhaps this doesn't "decide the game," but it certainly puts a huge dent in their win probability. It was a terrible call, and it is even more terrible because of when they called it.

The refs decided the game when they called the offensive foul on the possession before the inbounds. If you look closely at the inbounds, it was the right call.

I strongly recommend avoiding the 3D version. Like last year's installment, the FPS is so high that it looks like a video game. I saw the regular version last year and loved it. This year, the 3D was kind of off putting. I did stop noticing it eventually.

I don't see what's so notable about this, versus, say, all of the other fight videos. Her name is Sharkeisha. Is that all?

I strongly disagree. You can both sense and see the hostility of the scene. I might say that the first car, the van, was a prank. But what they did to the old man was far more than a prank.

I would attend the Kansas State game in Phoenix for sure.

I think it's incorrect to assume that programs not in the elite few have significantly lower expectations. I heard this argument about RR and Arizona. Many Arizona fans will not be satisfied until (1) they win or play for a conference championship or (2) they go to a rose bowl. (2) means they can die happy, yes, but 8-win seasons, no matter how many of them, are never going to satisfy completely (especially with loses to rival teams).
I think it's accurate to say there are very few fan bases who would be satisfied with consistent 8-win seasons.
I also think it's accurate to say that, since there are so many fan bases with high expectations, being a football fan is generally disappointing.

The paradox arises because the question is asked of two contexts: (1) off topic in relation to the board and (2) off topic in relation to the off topic thread. The question "Am I off topic?" asks of both 1 and 2, creating a contradiction. This contradiction disappears if 1 and 2 are disambiguated.

Instead of tearing the team down, we need to raise them up. Clearly (look at Peppers), fan reaction affects the team in a real way.

|42 weeks 1 day ago||I think there is some elitism||
I think there is a lot of elitism on this board such that if you didn't attend Michigan, your fanhood is somehow limited and your opinions are given less weight. Let's not fault him for expressing this elitism. As I said, I think it's quite common. However, I do not understand it. Perhaps this is because I have not yet attended Michigan. I think the reality for most people growing up in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and really just anywhere in the world, if taken that far, is that they must choose a football team to support. State fans, out of jealousy, refer to such people as Walmart wolverines etc. I think this sentiment has ingrained itself in the minds of alumni who want only a pure fan base of other alumni, who want to find a way to limit fanhood because they perceive that fans who did not attend Michigan are somehow second class fans. These alumni want to claim superiority as a collective fan base (in relation to other teams) in terms of behavior, intelligence, and other factors. So, perhaps the argument is that, if one did not attend Michigan, they have no right to, as a fan, boo its football performance.

Boo if you can manage to boo only what you intend to boo. Most likely, you don't want the players. However, the players are going to see themselves as being booed even if you are only trying to boo the offensive playcalling. Basically, no.

It's surprising because it was a flaw of each one of his Michigan teams, especially the last two years. I wasn't just talking about the offense. The defense played very, very well.

This was a surprising win, and they way they did it was even more surprising (coming from an RR team): Arizona was more physical than Oregon.

I think that UFRs are easily the strongest content on the blog. They are the thing, even after losses, that I look forward to most. They are the posts that I save for a good glass of wine, so to speak. I agree with the OP. In fact, I think this exercise is necessarily to contextualize the performance of current players (by comparing them to past players).

Let's not count chickens yet. Maybe expand your recruiting comparisons, too. Meyer may be recruiting more speed, but that's clearly his focus, not ours. If we, for example, compare WR or TE size or OL or QB or... recruiting, the picture you painted isn't so clear. Also Jabrill Peppers. Take off the scarlet-colored glasses and step away from the ledge my friend
