Sark overperformed last year. Sure, he lost to Oklahoma and Washington/Penix, but he beat everyone else including Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
He has been recruiting very well. Texas throws money, sure, but Texas A&M is in their backyard. Every competitive team will be firing the money cannon going forward.
I agree with OP. I believe OP’s reasoning applies to other members of the athletic department too. Why is there no transition plan for football? Where are the associate ADs? It seems like they need to clean house or, at minimum, check to see that Warde’s desk is full of coaching staff bios that he is ignoring. OP makes a case that the problem goes deeper than the AD. Athletes and students deal with spiraling costs while admins can do nothing and face no consequences.
The punishment should fit the crime. He exercised extremely poor judgment and hurt the program. Many of us have a deep attachment to the program, and in some way, it is part of our identity. So this fellow hurt us and did so in a way that was unnecessary, misguided, and preventable. He deserved to be fired. He deserves to be shunned. If he wants to repair vacuums, make cameos, write a book, join Barstool, whatever. He will continue to face consequences for the rest of his life. He has an opportunity to clarify the record via a book. I would read that. I’m not going to discourage people from shunning him.
OSU is undefeated this offseason. Wow, hats off to them. If OSU continues to defeat all opposing (read: none) teams this offseason, they are going to enter next season undefeated. This could be a turning point for OSU. After losing to Michigan and scoring three points in their bowl game, they look to start next season with zero wins and losses. Wow. Hopefully Michigan can sell some jerseys in Ohio and turn the tide on the rivalry
I love TomVH and he did great work for this site. I never found his ESPN content as engaging or interesting. But I don’t find any ESPN content engaging or interesting.
They are transparent shills for their TV partners (SEC). Of course this is going to drive B1G readership away.
Now (or June, whatever) is a good time to get out. That is a sinking ship.
If you can think of an NFL team that does, perhaps Harbaugh should go there.
But you can’t. There isn’t one. There is a difference between a championship at Michigan and a championship with the Ravens. No NFL team will ever have the same history, tradition, or culture. It’s just not possible. The NFL is fundamentally different than college. If you win enough NFL games, you’ll be added to the pro football hall of fame.
I think Harbaugh wants a bigger legacy than a hall of fame. He can have that at Michigan.
I hope I’m wrong, but I’m not sure next year’s OL will be able to execute the Penn State game plan. Next year is probably another step toward more passing.
The game plans for Penn State, Ohio State, Alabama, and Washington were all incredible. The sum greatly exceeds the parts. This coaching staff is stacked.
JJ has been a magician all season on third down. He’s locking onto pre snap reads in this game. He needs to step up and win this game. The defense is going to crack soon

Warde’s redemption arc—just what everyone predicted
Michigan media needs to rebuild its credibility. Speculation like this won’t help. I love JUB, but this is trash.
Thamel link is auto downvote from me. I’m sorry. Those are the rules.
…and does it come cooked or raw?
…
Seems like a good move.

Hiring a guy seeking a huge demotion and pay cut… odd choice.
Is Kelly looking to show up to a place where he can stand on third base?
All jokes aside, great hire. I think the Buckeyes hit a triple with this one.
They found the person most effective at screwing over Michigan. Good fit

So when is Michigan filing the lawsuit?
I won’t wait…
DPJ showing he can go up and get IT
Don’t ask what IT is…
Ask the players what they think about this approach. Warde is completely out of touch and needs to go ASAP
I’m not sure the “new coach” effect exists in the current NIL landscape. We shall see
Think of…
So much cheating
Think of the player safety issues. This guy could block someone who gets hurt. When will the conference protect the players?

If Harbaugh ends up leaving, Michigan would do well to hire this Harbaugh guy
The last time Michigan lost to a team with more talent was Georgia in 2021

Who’s got it better than ______
Thanks Ace. I wouldn’t have found this site without your early writing. Hope your health improves
Thank god. His potential was not unlocked this year. He needs to be unleashed
This is huge. He was a monster by year end
Next season, Michigan will be coached by Harbaugh, Moore, Minter, or someone great.
The returning defense is A+. Offense has a big hole at QB.
This is all going to work out fine, fellas.
“Finished” means signed to most people. I negotiate contracts for a living. Finished means signed to me.
If Michigan has not sent a draft to Harbaugh, we should be upset. JUB previously said Michigan sent a draft to Harbaugh.
This seems like rage bait from JUB.
This sucks for Arizona. They were looking at making the 12-team field next year. Now the core of that team will likely transfer.
If the 9M/year is accurate though, no brainer for “Jeff”
I would expect they come after both Michigan coordinators.
Is that Keegan double fisting and chugging one while holding a glass football
Who’s got it better than us?

NCAA and FSU have privately negotiated a settlement?
Compare to how the NCAA treats Michigan.
Fuck them all
The Knowledge died for this
Wow, actual player safety issues. This is what they look like.
…
What a fucking joker
Michigan should sue for the NCAA breaking its own rules

They fucking did it
This team is immortal
Fuck ESPN
What you saw was Sainristil intercepting time itself
now we gotta wait…
Ah fuck
now we gotta wait like 8 months for more football
Defense has played incredible. Finish!
look what you…
11.500 now
look what you did
My anxiety just went from 11.5
to 11.50
GREAT JOB FIELDING THAT FUCKING PUNT
Two punt returners and it goes over both of their heads?
wtf
well I think that’s an upgrade, somehow

Time for the Penn State special with a heavy dose of JJ’s legs
That man…
Unleash Edwards
That man won’t stop running
Run JJ for fuck’s sake he’s staring down a fucking golf course of green
Corum had a run for like 60
