Someone needs to teach you what parole means. He's not a felon, he's not on parole. He violated his probation. |
| 2 years 4 weeks ago | Absolutely |
Stepping into the closer role turned the best lefty reliever in baseball, Matt Thornton, into a guy who looks like he forgot how to pitch. The last 3 outs of the game really are the toughest to get, and it takes some real mental toughness to do it. Blowing leads in the 9th takes a hugely negative toll on a team. In the case of the White Sox, we should have started year off 10-2 if we don't blow the leads we did. Now we're 8-13 because that sent us into a tailspin. The value of a solid closer just can't be overstated. |

Please tell me who you think is the better than him on BTN? Why do you think BTN has a weekly feature of Gus Johnson's best calls? What other announcer gets that treatment? Exactly. And Jim Nantz does the title game because he has been doing it for 20 years. He's got seniority. There's a reason people talk about the "Law of Gus"...that close finishes seem to follow him because his calls of the game are so awesome. The more you post, the more I think you must be a pretty miserable person. |

| 2 years 8 weeks ago | Novak |
This is really the only thing I disagree with here. Even if Novak's numbers go down--which I highly doubt will be the case if he is moved to the 3 where he no longer has to use so much energy on D--he is still the captain. Same with Stu. CJ Lee and David Merritt were solid but not amazing players that were still essential leaders. I don't think there is any doubt Zach and Stu will be the captains. |

In response to BigHouse_00 saying he had MSU in the Sweet 16 and ruining his bracket, some guy responds: "Well you're an idiot savant if you had MSU winning two games. Unless you're an alum or big MSU fan why on Earth would you?" Sounds like someone needs to be informed of what the phrase "idiot savant" means. |

All rookie errors can be compensated for with a home run. Or in your case, a thread title change. |

| 2 years 9 weeks ago | Hmm |
Are you Jim Tressel? Trying to distract us from your own investigation? This is very weird!! There's nothing at that link!! It's the main page of a Baton Rouge website!! go bucks !! |
| 2 years 9 weeks ago | Why would you not? |
Most successful fundraising campaign in the history of the country (The Michigan Difference), the school's rankings have consistently increased since she's been here. What exactly has she done wrong? Taking down those banners to save our program from getting hammered by the NCAA OSU-style (hopefully)? I think that was the right call. And I think she's a great president. |
| 2 years 10 weeks ago | Seeing all those bball |
Seeing all those bball pictures together makes you realize how much better the jerseys are this year than last. They are so much cleaner. Beat OSU! |
| 2 years 10 weeks ago | How sad is it to wear |
How sad is it to wear t-shirts disparaging a team that couldn't give a crap about you. News flash Illinois: you're no where near our list of rivals, even though we are number 2 for you! |
| 2 years 10 weeks ago | Guess I did get the facts |
Guess I did get the facts wrong. Must have misread my original source: http://www.sportsbybrooks.com/osu-fired-mr-integrity-obrien-for-tressel-offense-29551
But nonetheless...they still took the action of firing him. So it stands to reason that Tressel should be given a punishment close to that given they cited the same violations of the contract, right? That's why I think Tressel's punishment is a joke. |
| 2 years 10 weeks ago | Do you realize that you fired |
Do you realize that you fired your basketball coach in 2004 for breaking the exact same clauses of his contract that Tressel broke? Then O'Brien appealed to the Ohio Supreme Court and his dismissal was upheld. O'Brien was also "Mr. Integrity." So why exactly is Tressel so different? Because he has won. That's the only difference. If you think these are appropriate sanctions, you're fooling yourself. The first version of your own self-report disagreed and proposed Tressel be suspended for all of spring and summer practice. I really don't think the NCAA is going to just gloss over this, especially given that they had their arms twisted into allowing the suspended players play in the bowl game. They took so much grief over that in the media. I think they will be pretty harsh with their ruling. |
| 2 years 10 weeks ago | Obviously |
But I'm saying...cheetahs is the way someone from Boston says cheaters. That's why I think the shirt is lame. |
| 2 years 10 weeks ago | Cheetahs |
This would come off better if we were from a school around Boston. |
| 2 years 10 weeks ago | Favorite part of that... |
The guy from Columbus says: "They should take away the wins from 02 (Clarett), 04 (Troy Smith) and last year because of playing ineligible players. Tressel's record is 9-1 over Michigan on the field, but you take away all the wins from when they played ineligible players and the record is not that great." I hope this guy goes down. |

I guess you now know that I am Charles Robinson. Guess I'm no good journalist after all. |
| 2 years 10 weeks ago | He said that they still have |
He said that they still have work to on the story to gather more information and get their ducks in a row. As good journalist's should do. |
| 2 years 10 weeks ago | Especially considering that |
Especially considering that Brian now has 2 stories on the front page about OSU. This is a big deal. What should we talk about, the scoreboards again? |
| 2 years 10 weeks ago | Heard that too |
I can't even fathom what the level 10 story will be. But given that Tressel is an 8, that is going to be a pretty big bombshell. |
| 2 years 10 weeks ago | May be wrong |
But I think it's already too late for them to declare for the draft. Wasn't the deadline in mid-January? |
| 2 years 10 weeks ago | I think you're right |
I interpreted it the same way. And in that case...if you're threatening to reprimand the players, how can you possibly not know that they have done something that may make them ineligible? If you're going to punish them, doesn't that men your bosses and the NCAA should know about it? This looks extremely damaging in my opinion. |
| 2 years 10 weeks ago | Yep, it is |
Pretty comparable to MGo (except they suck, obviously and we don't). But this is pretty solid. I believe they were the first to break the details of the TatGate violations. This is awesome. |

@elevenwarriorsEleven Warriors
We're hearing Tressel will admit wrongdoing tonight, sanctions and suspension possible.
|
| 2 years 11 weeks ago | I don't get it |
Why do you hate on Darius Morris so much? You've done it all season. We are nowhere this season without the huge leap he has taken over last season. You can't argue that. |
| 2 years 11 weeks ago | Times like this I wish I was |
Times like this I wish I was on the west coast so this game would start earlier. I'm so antsy to get it going. |
| 2 years 11 weeks ago | Alumni |
I just don't get the New York thing at all. There are certainly more Michigan alums in NY than Arizona or Oregon combined. I get that Arizona is ranked and neither Mich or MSU are, but they should be trying to appeal to the largest amount of viewers possible. Given that we have the largest Alumni base in the world, I don't see why we shouldn't voice our opinions. They will hear us. Just like the ESPN guy who kept getting bombarded with questions of why we weren't in his Bracket. Strength in numbers, my friends. |
| 2 years 11 weeks ago | Watch it online |
CBS has a veryyy weird regional map for this game. There was so much uproar on Twitter from Michigan folks that a guy from CBS tweeted that you can watch the live stream on the CBS Sports website in zones that aren't getting Mich/MSU. I'm sure this will be put out closer to game time, but here's the link to the feed:
