cool. I will have to attend the UCLA game
We need $5 million each in JJ and Edwards' NIL funds.
Might go to Cali to see the USC game.
One way to tell if someone isn't from California is if they use the word "Cali".
No one out here EVER uses that word.
True.
And never say 'pop'. Only say 'soda'. You can spot an outsider by that word 'pop' immediately. You can never, no never, say 'pop' in California when asking for one. Did I say never?
Yep it’s like people saying “Hotlanta”.
Texas is hotter! Arizona says “hello”.
Here's the link to all of the games for the next two seasons.
https://bigten.org/news/2023/6/8/big-ten-conference-announces-exciting-future-football-schedule-formats-for-2024-and-2025.aspx
Does that mean the non-conference schedule will change?
Otherwise, it's 8 home games in 2024 (Fresno, Texas, Arkansas State) and 6 home games in 2025 (New Mexico, at Oklahoma, Central Michigan)
I'm slightly surprised your comment wasn't accompanied with the Can't Wait gif
Tuck Avoidin’
Mel Tuckin'
Tuckin' n Jivin'!
MeLLLLLLLL
It’s their payback for moving that PSU game no one was going to attend anyway.
Even Ray Finkle was a better Tucker
Finkle was Tuckin'
MSU gets both in 2025, and we don't play either.
Nobody wants your Debbie Downer detail when they're on a roll hatin' on MeLLLLLLL. Dang man, read the room...
The truth can be so inconvenient at times.
More like Mel Ducker
welp 2024 will be a rebuild anyways so not gonna complain as long as 2023 turns into a magical run
We seem to be well positioned to continually replenish. As long as development continues to occur, I think we're headed toward perennial CFP contention. Especially with CFP expansion coming. And I'm all for playing big games—especially in Cali, where this can really help our future recruiting.
You say that like Harbaugh won't bolt for the NFL next year.
I don't necessarily agree with this... I think it's fairly likely that 2024 will be there best defense Harbaugh has ever had.
The biggest rebuilding will be in assistant coaches if we lose 4 as JH predicted. It will be a test of JH’s coaching and hiring abilities.
Nick Saban says welcome to my world.
But in 2024 we get the playoff expansion.
People piss and moan about the wow factor of our schedule but Im seeing that Bama effect happening with our roster and our results. Our 2 and 3 deep players are getting heavy snaps for up to half of the season if not more. When it comes time to play they are already a player with (going into) year 2 experience. When you hit the field in an important game you should either be a superstar freshman or a half a season of snaps under your belt.
Of course. @USC, @OSU, vs. UCLA, vs Texas
It’s going to be the toughest schedule in the country and with mostly new starters.
Yeah, but with the 12 team playoff starting that year, Michigan can probably lose 2 of those games (going 10-2) and easily make the playoffs.
Michigan also will play Wisconsin in Ann Arbor that year and probably MSU and/or PSU.
Definitely MSU -- it's a protected rivalry. PSU seems unlikely.
The headline positions (QB, RB) are easily the biggest question marks, but beyond that depth looks really good?
Still the possibility of JJ back.
RB surely a dropoff from Corum/Edwards but should be able to get something together.
Loveland, Wilson (?), Morris, Clemons, English have the pedigree, looking forward to seeing flashes this fall from the latter three.
OL room stacked, no worries there even with the departures (as long as Sherrone isn't one of them)
Graham, Benny, Moore, McGregor, Grant, Harrell = no worries
Hausmann, Rolder, Colson (Please NIL?) should be great
WJ, Jyaire, Berry, Paige, Walker, Moore (Again, NIL?), Sabb: feeling confident there as well
Yeah when a schedule like that comes out it's pretty obvious that everyone decided fuck Michigan let's give them the hardest possible schedule. It's not even trying to look balanced.
Oh well whatever. Pretty much what everyone expected and would still be a playoff lock at 10-2.
Texas, UCLA, MSU, Wisconsin, @OSU, @USC. The B1G better give us 4 baby seals to club. Rutgers and Northwestern should be locks.
While OSU looks like they skip USC and trade Wisconsin for Iowa
Edit: Alright, this schedule is dumb. USC and UCLA in 2024 and neither in 2025?
So to expand on above OSU trades @USC for @Penn St, Wisconsin for Iowa, and Maryland for Northwestern. I'd say in each case they got the slightly more favorable matchup.
Common opponents are MSU, Illinois, UCLA, Minnesota, Rutgers
Dante Moore and Arch Manning coming to Tree Town.👀
Your point stands that is tough as nails, but Wisconsin would like a word about toughest...@UM @USC @Iowa PSU & Alabama.
Also home against Wisconsin (plus Texas non-conference and presumably @ OSU and home against MSU)
And home against PSU as well, no?
I doubt that's a protected rivalry game and the divisions will be gone. Probably not playing PSU next year.
no MSU game mentioned makes me chuckle
Of course OSU ducks USC...
I'm sure that was in exchange for taking the home night game in Mid-Nov. against St. That's a great trade by Gene Smith.
They get them in 2025…we don’t play either USC/UCLA in 2025
I predict that USC’s Big Ten debut will be their game at Penn State, in a whiteout.
MSU just isn't mentioned in this small snippet....there's no way they're not playing at least 1 of the CA schools
Nobody cares except "Sparty Nation"
Which consists of how many people....
EGJ, that really isn’t fair. He’s saving a seat for the other Spartan fan…
