Even with that, some speakers have trouble because of the delay (and you are correct, they are improperly using the word feedback as an excuse). Honestly, she did still sound really weird, but I would I think the delay screwing her up is more plausible than her being that drunk. This was a big weekend for the university and she has been meeting with donors for almost 24 hours straight -- I highly doubt this would be the weekend that she would drink up.
Why can't the AD do something like track the student tickets used (and when they show up) during the non conference schedule and then reissue Big 10 game tickets to reward those that showed up and showed up early?
They were different because the games were different. In 2011, the crowd was taken almost entirely out of the game for almost 2 quarters. In 2013, the crowd was in the game the entire time, and I would guage that even the alumni were standing for at least 50% of the plays. However, 2011 had a crazier finish so the stadium was more electric at the end - so it depends what would you rather have, consistently electric or dead then KA-BOOM.
Feels good to know that Brady will be fielding questions about the positive trajectory of our program, whereas Meyer will be fielding questions about off-the-field negative incidents rather than the upcoming season.

However, I completely agree with you. It was an AMAZING hit, but the best part of the play was Clowney snatching the ball up with one hand. The hit was so good because it was pure athleticism rather than a good play.

Because our recruiting classes under RR were a combination of mediocre + attrition, our players from two and three recruting classes ago have seen the field much earleir than other powerhouses, or even mediocre stable programs (MSU). This helps them grow beyond their years, at the detriment of the seasons they were true or redshirt freshman on the field.
We have a lot of young kids on our team this year, but a lot of them are already battle-tested.

I find it interesting that our fan base is the one that forgives Webber/Fab 5 the least. It's like the opposite of Ohio. Other fan bases, and the media especially, LOVE the Fab 5 and LOVE to still mention them 20 years later. They have forgiven, but it seems like the University hasn't, which is something I'm proud of, but not necessarily agree with.
Because recruiting 2013 OL have nothing to do with whether Taylor came back besides the 85 scholarship cap. True Freshman OL almost never contribute, so think about it in terms of the Coaches are thinking about depth in 2015, not depth in 2013.
Porcello is a ground ball pitcher, and in case you haven't noticed, the Tigers aren't the greatest defensive team in the MLB. His style is of much better use on some other team and we could trade for someone who is of much better use to us than the team they are being traded from.
