Was supposed to study for two exams tonight, but I'm way too jacked up right now to do that.

And it looks like we finally got the roll we were looking for in last years Indiana game.

So does that mean we won't get the roll in this years indiana game? inquiring minds want to know...

EDIT: So looks like my post got attached to the wrong comment. Should be attached to GoAway's post above. :-)  Too much happy time during the game i guess....

I missed the entire game up until overtime.  I think that was the best possible way to watch that game.  Or at least the best way to watch the game without me having an aneurism because we're losing to Purdue by 19.

Wow. What a fight we put up tonight. Stauskas looked a little gassed and may explain some of his misses.

I was hoping we were gonna go to GR3 on that final play; and boy did we ever.

Last year at Purdue, I stopped watching early in the first half because the shitshow we were putting on was wreaking havoc on my nerves and I thought it best to observe from afar, root for a comeback and hope for the best.

I did the same thing tonight.  In the future, I think I'm just not going to watch our away games at Purdue and let God sort it out.

Same here - I'd been having too good of a day to ruin watching us get blown out (or even in a dogfight) at Purdue, so I just checked the Gametracker periodically.  That died in OT, though, but happily folks messaged me about the result.  A ridiculous game, a win we had to have, and we got it, one way or another.  Hope we can look a little more in-control when the Gophers come calling on Saturday, but as long as the Ws go up on the board, it's all good in the end.

The D was going to key on Stauskas.  They didn't double-team him (they know this team LOVES to go to the open man for the easy basket), but GR3 was able to sneak away along the baseline.  When the pass was launched he was quickly double-teamed, but from there it's about GR3's athleticism.  He has the elevation to get to the arm-punt, one dribble to get in position, then elevation again to go above his defender.  The baseline jumper off the backboard is a relatively easy shot and difficult to block if you can go above your defender.

This wasn't a Hail Mary; it was a sniper shot Purdue didn't see coming.  Coach Beeline knew exactly what he wanted.

The downside is, like the play the football team wasted on Akron, this is a play that probably only works once, so using it here means they can't save it for the tournament.  Oh well. . . time for the offensive whiz to draw up something else simple & brilliant.

and GR3 came through when other stars were struggeling.

By the way, no team plays UM as tough as Purdue defensively.  They force us into TOs and taking bad shots.  This was a huge win, especially for the self-confidence of GR3.

Except for one game against a schedule stuffer, every game I have has the opportunity to watch, UM has lost. This has been every loss this season except for Arizona. I started watching the first MSU game but had to turn it off midway through the first half because I had to do that whole work think.

I had the opportunity to watch this game. UM goes down huge to bad opponent early. Whatever I tell myself; logic and math says things should even out. Correlation does not mean causation, I tells myself.

UM gets within one point. Purdue hits a 3. Fuck logic. I turn the game off.

I work in an ER which involves an odd schedule and evening work. Plus, like, other things in life when not working. And when I started to realize my odd power to compel UM basketball to losses, I actively started avoiding watching games. I thought I might give it a go again today considering I had the time. Poor choice on my part.
