This is a football player doesn't want to play the position that our coaches want him to. Does that make him a bad football player? Theres a certain QB I'm sure most of us are familiar with who went to a certain school because the coaching staff were the only ones to offer him a job as a quarterback, as opposed to a corner or wide receiver. He wanted to throw and run, as opposed to tackle and block. So does that make Denard not a "true football player"? Hell, another example. I remember Devin stating he hates blocking in the past, and that it was a part of the wide receiver position (yeah, I had completely pushed the fact he played wideout of my mind until now) he would never truly like or get good at. Does that make Devin not a "true football player" as well? The kids not even 18. Let him do what he wants to do with his life. He doesn't deserve that kind of scrutiny. |
