That was me a couple years ago. If you live near Ann Arbor or travel there in the spring-time, be sure to catch a UM home game sometime. Tickets are cheap and all the seats, even the outfield bleachers, have a great view. I went to a super-regional a couple years ago (season-ending loss to Tennessee) and the last weekend of games this year (3 Ws, sealed the B10 title), and have had a blast every time, including the loss. Saw Brady Hoke and Taylor Lewan there, too! This is one of the great things about an athletic department likes ours - someone's always winning! |

HUGE win, even if it took a bit of luck to get there. Now if Haylie can just cut down those 7th inning mistakes, or if we can build up a bit bigger of a lead ... |

Yep, it'll be 3 o'clock on ESPN. Also available online at ESPN3.com. Should be a good one - Valpo gave Louisville all they could handle, but the Cardinals belted a walk-off homer to secure the win in the bottom of the 7th. |

As long as the refs are handling it well (and it sounds like they were doing reasonably), I'd say just leave it to them. Better to just let their guy skate to the box, take the power play, and move on. |

Well, it'll be a tough challenge, but if we're at our best, we're up to it. Gotta assume Haylie will be shouldering most of the load here. Hope the bats stay hot! |
| 1 week 5 days ago | Rebuilding years when you win |
Rebuilding years when you win an undisputed Big Ten Championship are the best kind of rebuilding years. Also, I was finally able to make it to Alumni Field this weekend and caught all 3 games. Haylie Wagner is a great young pitcher, maybe the next in the Nemitz/Taylor mold of Michigan greats. What really stood out to me was the fact that she attacked every single batter, went up 0-1 or 0-2 in almost every pitch count, and kept the pressue on the hitters. Also, she had some absolutely nasty off-speed stuff. The program is in great hands for the years ahead! |

"Actually, that specific school is run by a religious group that refused to leave the 18th century (as opposed to returning to it). They split off rather than accept Vatican reforms." This is an important point. When I saw that the school involved was named "Our Lady of Sorrows, I immediately wondered if the Society of St. Pius the Tenth (SSPX) was in charge, and that turned out to be the case. The SSPX is a group that is in schism from the Catholic Church over a number of issues. I just thought it was important to put this out there before people start going "Ahh, stupid Catholics," etc., as this group is not representative of the Catholic Church in any way. |

That's a good point, although with one major caveat. "Chelsea Dagger" is an awful, awful, incredibly annoying song. When we choose our own stuff to become unique, we should definitely not take repetitive and annoying as a template. |

Hope you're right! Still a close race, but we're in the driver's seat. Not too bad for a re-building year. :) |

Can't wait for next Saturday. I'll be back at Alumni Field for the first time in a year, hopefully to watch the ladies wrap up a B10 title! Should be great! |
