McGary, Robinson Back (Muppets)
Hey we're gonna have a real good time with basketball next year, too.
Program muppets:
And you can't have one without the other…
Let's get that third straight banner.
Annoying Newspaper Headline:
"Big Puppy and Little Big Dog to Learn New Tricks"
A great way to start my vacation! Great news!
The fan bases across the Big Ten just let out collective "ughhhhh".
If next year is half as fun as this year it will be awesome!
We will be as good next year as we were this year. Yes, losing Try is going to hurt. You just can't replace the best player in the country without a downgrade. Fortunately, the downgrade may not be that bad, with a 5* hyped PG (Walton) coming in to replace Trey. There will likely be a drop off, but perhaps not too bad of one.
As for THJ, if there was one position that we could affort to lose a player it was at the 2/3 spot, where we have another 5* hyped recruit coming in (Irvin), along with Stauskas and LeVert.
While it sucks to lose great players, every good team does, and fortunately, the players coming in fit nicely into the vacated spots. Also, the rest of our contributors (Stauskas, LeVery, Spike and McGary will be back and will be a year older, stronger, and more experienced.
If either of Walton/Irving have breakout seasons, this could be a lot of fun again guys.
Like, a lot of fun.
Could be a really good team. Throw in Stauskas and Albrecht shooting the shit out of 3's and they could be back where they left off.
Burke came back to save this year, and now McGary and Robinson have rescued '13-'14! Should be a very fun year even if it's not as successful as this one.
I don't know who gets the "yeah" and who gets the "fuck yeah!", but the point stands.
the co-anchors reaction is also funny. Well done.
because just like Temptation and the Hawaiian War Chant, you can't have one, w/out the other!
If McGary can sprinkle in double doubles, GRIII work on his iso offensive attack and Stauskas becomes more consistent beyond the arc....then add Zak Irvin to the equation....we can have single digit losses again this year. The question becomes defense.
there's only one thing left for them to do: win the whole damn thing.
This is awesome. With these two plus Lewan, we're a pretty fortunate fanbase in this area.
I'm especially excited about McGary. It's been so long since we've had a dominant big man. I can't wait to watch him with a year under his belt.
Yay!
I see your point.
I agree. Lets get a third banner in as many years. #BeileinsMichigan
Interesting tweets:
Where does irvin factor in?
Not entirely sure. Seems to imply first off the bench. Unless he can unseat Stauskas for the 2 or something.
They came back for more subs. It'll be crazy!!!
not that I am any sort of expert, but 6 good games does not mean you are ready for the NBA. And GRIII oozes potential but he will only help himself by putting it together for a full season on both ends of the floor and proving he can creat without Burke
WooHoo! and HooWoo! and what ever other celebratory explosions of noise and happiness are appropriate!
Here is quote from the conference:
On a reason why he’s coming back: “I kind of want to be a kid one more year. This is the last team I’m going to get to play for before I get to the NBA. If I get to the NBA, you’re going to be playing for a contract. This is, like, the last team. I’m a team player. I want to come back one more year and get better.”
Right on.
what we have right now in Belien and these kids is amazing. In a way they are the antithesis of the Fab Five.

Sure they played as sophmores, because you pretty much had to in 93/94... but they both bolted as soon as they could...
I am speaking more to the point that our players now love the school and don't spending any time bitching about people making money off of them...
jdon
It sure doesn't sound like Mitch's press conference next year will be very suspenseful
He turns 21 this summer, so you can't really blame him if he decides next year is it. Just be glad we get another year out of him.
Yes the Pun is intended...

My first thought on hearing the news: we should have Muppets
:)
