Uniformz (Design ideas not official)
First of all, this is in no way official. A writier at TFM dug around and found a graphic designers concepts at how schools could update uniforms.
Here is a link.

I am not a big fan generally but I know people do like uniformz.I am not too old but I fall on the old foggie side of many changes in football so I will leave it to others to explain how wonderful showing the state of Michigan on the uniform will rock.

Ugh.
No offense to you, OP, but these are so fucking dumb. I can't tell you how many times I see on Twitter "New Michigan Football Uniform Concepts!"
No they're not. Someone got on Microsoft Paint and threw something together and slapped 17 Nike logos on there and said it was a concept.
/Rant
February 28th, 2014 at 2:35 PM ^
OP said 'these are not official' and were random graphic designers' ideas...
February 28th, 2014 at 2:41 PM ^
I know. I acknowledged in the post that I was talking about seeing these on Twitter and people saying they're concept uniforms, and was ranting about that and how people think throwing Nike logos everywhere makes it official.
February 28th, 2014 at 2:36 PM ^
I agree that I don't think there is anything official there. I was trying to make sure no one thought I think this is where things are going. I just have a feed that kicks anything Michigan to me at work and I saw it and thought I would share.
I hate all changes (darn you forward pass) and that includes uniforms but I know that some people really want to see things push forward.
No offense was taken at all.
February 28th, 2014 at 2:42 PM ^
I like uniform changes and seeing them move forward. Love the new Seahawks uniforms.
I just have a personal vendetta against these, for some reason lol.

Anywhere from under serious consideration to just waiting for the right time to announce. It should at least imply plausibility. This is something else altogether.
February 28th, 2014 at 5:52 PM ^
Doesn't mean it's not a concept. Dumb concept, maybe, but a concept nonetheless.
February 28th, 2014 at 2:32 PM ^
these were all terrible
February 28th, 2014 at 3:24 PM ^
I actually like the Miami ones. However the rest of them, especially the Penn State and Florida State ones are an abomination. Seriously what is going on in those FSU uniformz?
February 28th, 2014 at 2:36 PM ^
yourself. Looks tacky.
Edit: These are terrible. Horrible. Although - sadly - I think the trend is going in the direction of the PSU abomination depicted there.
February 28th, 2014 at 9:07 PM ^
How do we know you didn't up vote your own post?
February 28th, 2014 at 2:34 PM ^
February 28th, 2014 at 3:54 PM ^
I remember someone posting a "leaked" design couple years ago.
February 28th, 2014 at 2:35 PM ^
These are fucking retarded. 1000x worse than that pro-combat shit from nike.
We have the most iconic uniforms in American sports. Why the fuck do we need to mess with them?
February 28th, 2014 at 2:53 PM ^
Calm yourself, sport. "WE" aren't messing with them. It's an artist's rendition, so to speak. And we like to stay above using the 'R' word around here.
February 28th, 2014 at 8:56 PM ^
Thank you!
February 28th, 2014 at 9:09 PM ^
But the word "fuck" and it's variations are OK?
there is a difference between a profanity and a slur against a disenfranchised group
February 28th, 2014 at 2:35 PM ^
Yeah, I bet he reeeeaaaally liked those unis for us to wear, doubt he is slapping the state of PA on his teams'
February 28th, 2014 at 2:35 PM ^
I'm guessing he is the only one that calls himself a "graphic designer."

second from the left is kind of...nope. Fucking nope.
The far left and middle ones would be great as a tee shirt.
February 28th, 2014 at 2:41 PM ^
Columbus needs to be lower down and on the rear.
February 28th, 2014 at 3:03 PM ^
I'm about as anti-uniformz as they come, but these could be a good one-time type unis for one of the directional schools. I could see them in WMU's black and gold.
February 28th, 2014 at 6:00 PM ^
I was thinking they'd be really good for UM-Flint.
February 28th, 2014 at 3:05 PM ^
I know I'm getting negged for this but that far left and middle one are pretty cool. Not on a permanent basis, of course, but for the inevitable "alternate uniform" games, I really like those two. MUCH better than those terrible looking things we wore against South Carolina.
February 28th, 2014 at 3:24 PM ^
But they beat the shit out of the prison stripes.
February 28th, 2014 at 6:32 PM ^
I would not watch another Michigan football game again if they wore this gear. Yes, I am that guy.
February 28th, 2014 at 9:29 PM ^
Turns out Dave Brandon is on MgoBlog. He just got an idea for Michigan's "special" uniformz against Penn State.
February 28th, 2014 at 2:39 PM ^
February 28th, 2014 at 3:07 PM ^
OP, sorry for any of the posters that shit on this thread and the concept.. I hadn't seen these before and I think they are cool in a "never going to happen but I'm going to show my friends anyway" kinda deal. We have the best and most iconic home uniforms in the game, but I'm not going to condemn someone for seeking an original and creative outlet and not knowing better than to skip over our ~untouchable even in theory don't you dare!~ uniforms.
February 28th, 2014 at 2:44 PM ^
After reading all the descriptions I genuinely can't tell if the commentary is supposed to be serious or not.
February 28th, 2014 at 2:45 PM ^
I don't know if it's been around for years, but it seems pretty innovative to me (and at least makes sense). Maybe for the Spring Game or practice?
February 28th, 2014 at 3:56 PM ^
The Miami (YTM) and VaTech versions seem plausible for those schools. The rest? Not so much.
February 28th, 2014 at 2:46 PM ^
Classic-ly bad.
Can we keep broadway and back up dancers out of football?
February 28th, 2014 at 2:46 PM ^
Dave Brandon sees them.
February 28th, 2014 at 2:46 PM ^
Izzo is petitioning Nike to put player injuries on the jersey somewhere prominent. So if Appling misses a shot he can run back on defense while the TV crew uses the telestrator to circle "WRIST" on his uniform and explain how he's battling a wrist injury.
February 28th, 2014 at 2:51 PM ^
Kill them, kill them with fire.....all of them!
February 28th, 2014 at 2:53 PM ^
and Nike, UA and Adidas compete for exposure, I'm afraid in 15-20 years all football uni's will resemble these atrocities. Oregon's recent "tradition" of wearing a different uniform/helmet for every game will probably become the norm.
The Alabama examples are really lame.... fwiw.
February 28th, 2014 at 2:58 PM ^
In full realization that these are someone's concepts and the chances of them seeing production are faint at best, I have to say that I suddenly rather like the brown and mustard yellow of the back-in-the-day San Diego Padres uniforms in comparison. The bright stripes of the Houston Astros unforms of the early to mid-80s suddenly don't seem quite as "ugh" as they used to now.
In other words, yikes....those are not flattering.
February 28th, 2014 at 3:00 PM ^
I don't really care about uniforms at all--I just clicked on the thread to see if everybody would get worked up over something this stupid again--but I think these are cool. Downvote away.
February 28th, 2014 at 3:10 PM ^
What about the Mudhen's Ghostbusters unis:
February 28th, 2014 at 3:13 PM ^
Fucking incredible
Minor league sports are all about gimmicks to get people into the seats. Those are more about being funny and playful than making an actual uniform. Star Wars night is a common one. Ghostbusters is new to me, so at least it's got that going for it.
