Everitt was a frosh C for Bo's last season. 4 year starter. Won Rose Bowl vs. Washington.
He is a front-running living connection to the essence of Bo & a hard ass nature.
November 16th, 2019 at 9:09 AM ^
Bet Bo was buried with the hard on that lasted well beyond 4 hours he got watching Chris Perry carry the ball 51 times in a ground attack win in 2003.
November 16th, 2019 at 11:31 AM ^
Chris Perry. Before in the year 2003. That was before BPONE. A glorious time.
November 15th, 2019 at 9:43 PM ^
Steve Everitt is gangsta.
November 16th, 2019 at 8:09 AM ^
Love that beard! Whatch yo self, Steve! You might wake up with a green beard, lol.
November 15th, 2019 at 9:43 PM ^
He is seriously gonna stand watch all night? Be sure to get some dinner. Then breakfast. And a few beers before kickoff.
November 15th, 2019 at 10:56 PM ^
I can't be the only one wishing they could hang with that guy all night with a keg.
November 15th, 2019 at 11:44 PM ^
I bet that dude can party.
November 16th, 2019 at 12:46 AM ^
Honestly go guard the statue with him. I sure he wouldn’t mind.
November 16th, 2019 at 9:06 AM ^
If I lived closer to AA I would have grabbed a case of beer and sat with him. Although I’d probably only have 3 by the time he finished the rest off.

Just checked out his Twitter page. His other Sparty tweets have an additional tag #msuDlinemengrabbedmynutz
Don't really know what to say about that. But the hate is strong and I love it.
November 16th, 2019 at 2:38 AM ^
This ....... this is awesome
November 15th, 2019 at 9:48 PM ^
Bo would have hated that statue.
November 15th, 2019 at 10:36 PM ^
No, he would have hated Scary Lucy though.
November 15th, 2019 at 11:20 PM ^
Yikes! And what’s that creature on the right?
November 15th, 2019 at 11:28 PM ^
A really bad sculpture of Desi Arnaz? I don't know. Shame because Lucille Ball was a beautiful woman. That sculpture is not so good.
November 16th, 2019 at 12:14 AM ^
how is the ronaldo statue not here?
November 16th, 2019 at 1:07 AM ^
I've always been partial to the big giant Gerald Ford head on Mackinac Island.
November 16th, 2019 at 5:08 AM ^
More like Easter Island, amirite?
November 17th, 2019 at 9:09 PM ^
No way that's real.
November 16th, 2019 at 1:01 AM ^
The statue is awful—it doesn’t convey the nature of Bo’s personality or character at all. It looks like an old guy looking for sales assistance at Home Depot.
November 16th, 2019 at 5:07 AM ^
Agree. The grave walk I'll do. Idols not so much.
I like the M on the Diag, and the beer wherever I can get a good one.
Idols do make me smile sometimes.
Here is to Steve... M uber alles.

We have a good staff at my local Home Depot. They usually find me before I have to look for one of them.

Thanks, Long Beard.
November 15th, 2019 at 9:52 PM ^
Wow, Everitt has a good Movember beard going! Nice to see former players supporting the team and the Bo statue.
November 15th, 2019 at 9:54 PM ^
Classic Everitt - that dude is all grit.
November 15th, 2019 at 9:56 PM ^
You are a good man! Stay warm, and Go Blue!
November 15th, 2019 at 9:56 PM ^
Good man. Hope the tailgaters arriving extra early to get parking give you some time to grab a nap and a few beers!

Once when I was at Rick's I urinated next to Steve Everitt. This would not be noteworthy per se, but the way we got to the toilets was different (Ricks had two exposed toilets, iirc, and one urinal. Or maybe it was a urinal and a toilet. All I know is Steve used the toilet). While I waited patiently in what was a fairly long line, Steve just walked past everyone, whipped out his member, and started peeing in the toilet. Of course everyone knew who he was and no one challenged him even a little bit. He just pushed past the line and started to pee. The guy next to me wasn't even all the way done but he quickly zipped up and got out of there.
Steve Everett was a great football player, and when I watched him play center I realized for the first time how important it was to have mean fuckers on your offensive line. -- guys who were not only enormous gifted athletes, but who also played the game with hate in their veins.

My Everitt story was from a house party sometime around ‘92. Steve was pretty smashed, and standing next to me he suddenly started to just involuntarily lean over on me. At >300 lbs, he was almost twice the weight of my (then) skinny ass. I literally had no way to get such a huge human off of me.
As I started to crumple under him, Steve Morrison (future captain), who was thankfully just slightly less wasted, came to the rescue and just held him up so I could get out and not snap in two. It hurt for days ... and while I thought I knew just how rough playing with these guys must be, just then I had a new appreciation for it.
Fun Everitt fact: when he was profiled in The Daily in his senior year (there weren’t a ton of feature articles written about O-linemen, but he was known far and wide across campus throughout his playing days to be a very colorful character), he revealed that one of his pastimes walking through campus was kicking squirrels. Imagine that: the athleticism required for a 300lb man to chase down squirrels and be quick enough to kick them. Plus, the aforementioned meanness. I’m very glad for Coach Warriner’s positive impact over the last few years, but man our OL used to be really something.

I wouldn’t fuck with that beard either...
November 15th, 2019 at 10:11 PM ^
Is painting the Bo statue a thing these days? Or is it still the M in the diag?
November 15th, 2019 at 10:21 PM ^
Oh its safe, no one messes with the Viking
November 15th, 2019 at 10:33 PM ^
My Steve Everitt story.
1991 Purdue game. Steve was out with an injury (broken jaw if I remember right). My step dad and I would always watch the players arrive off the bus a few hours before the game. Before the players arrive, Steve walks up by himself out of nowhere to enter the outside tunnel entrance in shorts and a tee shirt to go enter the locker room. The weather that day was comparable to the weather today. Cloudy 30 degrees out. My step dad and I look at each other and just start giggling out of respect on how tough Steve was. Dude was tough as nails as a player and still looks tough as nails.
November 15th, 2019 at 10:34 PM ^
Steve has to be the least talked about absolute Michigan legend.
I remember reading that he didn’t spend like any of his money when he was in the NFL and now just lives on the beach and sips and puffs all day long. What a life!
November 15th, 2019 at 10:44 PM ^
At the suggestion of my thoughtful Mgowife, I sent him a dozen Insomnia Cookies. Hopefully he isn’t going gluten free or anything. There’s no way a real life viking is gluten intolerant, right?
November 16th, 2019 at 5:49 AM ^
Good thinking. I bet he appreciated it
November 15th, 2019 at 10:53 PM ^

If I had known earlier, I could have dropped off a bottle of peach schnapps or Fireball on my way past Ann Arbor
