I would have thought MSU would be the better choice for a lineman who wants early playing time, but then again its MSU.
We are losing 4 starters this year so he'll have a lot of opportunity to play.
Plus, MSU has Jim Bollman.
Not gonna lie, we needed him. With us losing 4 OL starters after this year and UM cleaning up in OL recruiting, this is nice.
How dare you use the pronoun "we" on a Michigan blog! Off with his head!
It was completely on purpose, cause if the OL recruiting didn't improve, we the fans were going to have a major meltdown.
You are not of us.
But if we have no more prospects on the board this year, we'll need to come back with a strong OL class for 2015. Getting Jon Runyan Jr. (son of former U-M All Big 10 and NFL Tackle) was a good start.
Meanwhile Rivals shot them up to 3rd. Booo Rivals.
I think Michigan could sit tight with two offensive linemen after taking six in the 2013 class. That's still eight guys over two classes. I think they're at a point where they can take the best available guy, whether it's a RB, a CB, a LB, an OL, etc.
Six of them redshirt. But with such depth in the class, maybe one of them could play as a backup this year and it wouldn't harm future depth.
I believe they've redshirted every OL since Hoke arrived. Even last year when the interior of the line was weak and the conventional wisdom was that Kalis was college ready as a freshman. I'd think that's likely to continue with what should be a deeper, more talented OL group.
Barring injury, I think all of them will redshirt. Bosch and Kugler are the two most likely to play if someone goes down, in my opinion.
Agree - that is a logjam at the position due to last year's haul. Nice to say that as depth has been an issue. Of course as always some kids won't work out but 8 over 2 years is 4 average and we can expect next year will be easier to recruit the position since kids will see playing time won't be so difficult to get with the 2 year spacing between their class and the big 6.
...Needz MOAR meltdown.
Damnit kid, guarantee a win or something. NEED MORE RIVALRY FODDER.

You were perfectly okay with the Aaron Hernandez thread.
I have stated this numerous times. It's not the OT threads I have an issue with, rather it's the copious amounts of MSU and Ohio threads.
This is a Michigan blog.
realize Michigan was a finalist for this kid right? And despite what you think, a top 50 overall recruit choosing a rival school IS, in fact, newsworthy
If he picks Ohio, move on. We don't need a thread about every kid who commits to the Buckeyes.
EDIT: Also, we were all smart enough to know that he wasn't picking M, so again, no thread necessary.
Then go read another website. Or read this one and click on a different thread. Nobody forced you to click on the thread that's titled "Jamarco Jones to Ohio." Brian - the owner of this blog - is obviously okay with it, so stop whining.
don't read the thread if you don't want. Some of us Michigan fans care about what Michigan's rivals do since we, ya know, play them every single season.
that you have outstanding blog recognition skills. Probably better than anyone on this thread. Very good observation, good sir.
don't try to derail threads with pointless comments. That's just trolling, and we ban trolls.
Even though i hate O$U, it's good to see the B1G dominate the state of Illinois like they should. The SEC has done some damage, especially last 2 years getting Treadwell, Pocic, A.Morrison, etc. Even USC plucked RB Issac

I'll give you a top five of guys I think might end up at Michigan (in no particular order):
Malik McDowell, Da'Shawn Hand, Noah Furbush, Montae Nicholson, Malik Hooker.
If there are going to be surprise guys but I know about them, then it wouldn't really be a surprise. But Casey Tucker, Jamal Davis, Darius West, Jalen Embry, Tyrone Washington, Saeed Blacknall, and Juwann Winfree are some guys that could be possibilities for commitments or offers if the coaches turn up the heat.
Urban Oscar Meyer weiner will probably leave for another school soon and the school will be dealing with some more crazy sanctions due to Meyers cheap recruiting tricks.
it's OL. Good luck to the young man. Ohio State is a better choice than MSU at least
Good luck to him except when he plays UM.
The start of the comment thread was weak. We tried to play the 'class card' and it looked weak to me. Why can't we just get nasty sometime. If Jamarco wants to play the buckeye card then let the boy's get loose a little. Screw trying to compare class response with "rcmb & 11wari". We're arrogant for a reason. Go Blue tohell with ND & tosu.
