Adidas unveils new basketball uniformz
Holy hell, thank goodness Michigan opted out of these!
USA Today story panning them. I liked this bit:
3. Michigan and N.C. State had good enough sense to say no to Adidas, reportsSports Business Daily. In other news, we are all becoming Michigan and N.C. State fans this March.

I lived through it without ever coming within spitting distance of a leisure suit, thank god.

Suddenly I'm reminded of this gem:

No, no, no. You've got it all wrong! These Zubas would be perfect pre-game warmup gear for the teams that are wearing those Adidas alternative unis! Tremendous!

Saying this is the worst uniform ever created for any sport doesn't go far enough. These are some of the most visually unappealing objects ever created by the human race.

This team is going to need all the help in the world for the NCAA tournament so more fans are welcomed

I have renewed confidence in the UM Athletic Department to eschew uniforms that are too far over the line. Yeah, there have been some unis on Michigan teams that I don't like, but they weren't dumb enough to get on this train.

And people wonder why 13 is an unlucky number
February 28th, 2013 at 12:30 PM ^
Thank bejebus. Those are unbelievable bad

I have seen the future, and I hate it.

Srsly are those PJs?
February 28th, 2013 at 12:43 PM ^
Rob Gronkowski approves.
February 28th, 2013 at 12:47 PM ^
They're all wearing unlucky #13...coincidence? I think not.

I usually don't complain about uniforms like others have said, but Holy Crap. What could have possibly been in the inspiration? I'm okay with the person who designed it... but who the heck approved it (within Adidas)/?

After seeing the McDonald's All-American uniforms and how bad those were, I had hoped - vainly, admittedly - that it was an empty threat from Adidas that the individual team uniforms would not be even worse. Apparently, Adidas meant what they said in those tweets from the other day. Yikes. I commend Michigan for passing on these. Good lord, those are dreadful.
The only good here is that Louisville and Notre Dame could get an awesome game of "Red Light, Green Light" going, but that's probably about it. They definitely aren't good for basketball. The person who designed these should definitely stick to fingerpainting.

aint nobody got time for that

I think if we have another performance like last night's or the Breslin beatdown the team should be threatened with having to wear these. Perhaps the fear of having to play a game in these things would motivate our troops to play a wee bit tougher on D.

I didn't realize adidas' head designer was Mugatu

Jesus fucking christ. I am literally counting the days until the Adidas contract is up in 2015. Bill Martin can suck it for signing an 8 year agreement with the secondary equipment provider.
February 28th, 2013 at 2:31 PM ^
You're assuming we don't extend.

I feel like fans have to adopt a strategy like Bill Simmons advocated for saving the Sonics in this column (point 4).
Ordinarily I wouldn't encourage Notre Dame fans to do anything that prevented them from looking ridiculous, but this is a bridge too far.
CBB fans of the world unite! You have nothing to lose but your fucking moronic Adidas uniformzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!!!!!!!!

The players faces might be misinterpretted as "Game Faces," but don't kid yourself. Those guys are flat out angry they are wearing those.
February 28th, 2013 at 1:14 PM ^
Normally I'm a fan of attention grabbing designes, such as our all-maize jerseys this year, or Baylor's neon last year.
But this...this is just awful. Thank goodness we're not wearing these.
February 28th, 2013 at 1:15 PM ^
was some player asking for sleeves on the jerseys, i dont know why they are here.

Every time there is Brandon hate, I will show them that picture and say he rejected these.
February 28th, 2013 at 1:30 PM ^
I'm done with uniforms. Seriously, let's just let the kids show up wearing whatever they want then the refs can split the teams off into shirt vs. skins like some kind of YMCA pickup game. Good grief!
February 28th, 2013 at 1:35 PM ^
Good GOD those are disgusting.
February 28th, 2013 at 1:45 PM ^
Sir Charles is emailing Auburns AD asking if they can sign up with Adidas.
February 28th, 2013 at 2:01 PM ^
and dress like this? I can do better!

I am seriously having a hard time believing those are real.
February 28th, 2013 at 2:39 PM ^
Why is it that Baylor has even more highlighter looking yellow than ours? Aren't they supposed to be Green and Gold?
February 28th, 2013 at 2:43 PM ^
Are they worse than the NFL combine uniformz made by UA?
I really think the ugliness bar was set with these.
