Maybe is wall the stupid platooning or what not, but I never saw anything from Charbonnet that made me say "Wow!  This kid is gonna be special!".   So may of his TD's his Freshman year were running the ball in from the 10 or closer.  Or at least that is what I remember.  LOL

Would be interesting to see where Haskins would be on this list as well (my guess would be he is somewhere within the top 10).

There was some him-hawing back in week one about Jay Harbaugh being an overrated recruiter. PFF apparently would believe he has a pretty good eye for running back talent (even if early returns suggest Hart is better at coaching it).

Zach's a good player, but the people mentioning him for Heisman consideration are going a little too far.

I would not trade him for any of our top three running backs.

I just wish we could recruit a couple more positions that well.

More to the point, trading him for one of our top 3 RBs seemed to be something that had to be considered.

Our RB room was really good last year, and was set to be really good this year. Charbonnet didn't need to slip much to get squeezed out of carries. His transfer was a win for everyone involved, and while I wanted him to succeed here, I bear him no ill will for making that decision. This is one of those situations where we really did have an overabundance of talent in a position where we couldn't give everyone the touches they needed.

And they tried, they really did. A 4-RB rotation is virtually unheard of, and they tried to pull it off, because every one of those guys is starting caliber.

It is our good fortune that we had so many players develop so well in that spot. How often have we been able to say that here recently?

An Ole Miss RB on this list? When was the last time something like that happened?

I feel like its been years since they didn't have a system where they weren't preferring to throw the ball 50-60 times a game.
