Did I hear a toilet flush?

I knew OSU was afraid to play a healthy Brandon Peters.

Honestly surprised it was canceled.
November 27th, 2020 at 10:36 PM ^
Having been to Champagne/Urbana several times myself, I can’t blame COVID one bit for not wanting to go anywhere near there.
November 28th, 2020 at 8:08 AM ^
Hey! It's not that bad. I admit, it is kind of a dump but there are worst big ten towns. West Lafayette is worse. I've never been there but East Lansing sounds terrible.
November 27th, 2020 at 10:33 PM ^
The main positive of the cancellation being that now the B10 eyes of the nation can focus exclusively on the titanic battle that’s going to occur in Ann Arbor tomorrow.
November 27th, 2020 at 10:38 PM ^
Are we the ship or the iceberg?
November 27th, 2020 at 10:38 PM ^
That’s where the surprise lies.

"Even God himself couldn't sink this ship"

We're Leo DiCaprio. At the end...

Warde is floating on the door (with plenty of room for Jim) but let's him sink instead. One can hope.

We're the orchestra.

Bug or windshield?

We're one of the half-empty lifeboats.
November 27th, 2020 at 11:46 PM ^
Nah. That's Ohio State.
November 27th, 2020 at 10:34 PM ^
Of course this couldn't have happened 2 weeks from now.
November 27th, 2020 at 10:55 PM ^
oh of course it can.
November 28th, 2020 at 7:26 AM ^
It should, because players are out for 21 days. If there were enough to cancel this game then their season is over.
November 28th, 2020 at 8:39 AM ^
That is not how it works. They cancel the games based on positivity rate as a rolling 7 day average, not the number of guys that are out. OSU’s positivity rate should be improved by the Michigan game, though many of their players would not be eligible to play.
November 28th, 2020 at 8:14 AM ^
If for some reason OSU misses the next 2 games, they won't be able to play in the conf championship game. So, then Indiana plays NW.
November 27th, 2020 at 10:35 PM ^
Boom - northwestern and Indiana might just face off in the most hilarious B1G championship ever. The joke remains on us, with zero appearances and counting...
November 27th, 2020 at 10:44 PM ^
So 2020
November 28th, 2020 at 8:10 AM ^
That would be perfect. I really hope this happens.
November 28th, 2020 at 9:03 AM ^
Not the championship game we deserve, but it's the championship game we need.
November 27th, 2020 at 10:35 PM ^
OSU afraid of Illinois after the Illini crushed Nebraska...
November 27th, 2020 at 10:37 PM ^
Damn. Normally we’d be playing them tomorrow.
November 27th, 2020 at 10:44 PM ^
Exactly. Happened 2 weeks too early. Even a depleted OSU will still easily beat Michigan but they may only score in the 50s instead of the 80s.
November 27th, 2020 at 10:44 PM ^
A cancellation? What a surprise.
November 27th, 2020 at 10:51 PM ^
Curious who is out for OSU - wouldn’t this put any player with a positive test out for the Michigan game?
November 27th, 2020 at 10:51 PM ^
From what I just read on 11W it sounds like their regular season may be over. Tough break, because Bama would’ve kicked the shit out of them in the CFP.
November 27th, 2020 at 10:56 PM ^
Don't you dare tease me like that!!!
November 27th, 2020 at 11:02 PM ^
But unfortunately that probably opens up a spot for ND after Clemson rapes them in the "ACC" Championship w/ a healthy Trevor Lawrence.
November 27th, 2020 at 11:11 PM ^
I saw this comment over at 11 Warriors:
I think he meant they would get 6 games if Mich St is also cancelled but not _ich game.
They’re not too bright, are they?
November 27th, 2020 at 11:15 PM ^
I take it you're new the rivalry?
November 27th, 2020 at 11:18 PM ^
I saw that as well and I am still skeptical. HOWEVA, if the first positive tests were Wednesday and the Big Ten actually keeps to the policy of players sitting out 21 days that is a possibility. OSU routinely gets special treatment so we will see. I guess it also depends on how many players tested positive today and how many new cases they have over the next few days. I am fine with The Game being canceled but I won’t hold my breath that is actually happens.
November 28th, 2020 at 12:48 AM ^
I see no substantial reporting on 11W saying the season is done for them, just some random board posters. They will play Michigan come hell or high water. But the MSU game could fall away, thereby eliminating OSU from eligibility to play in the league title game (and presumably also the BCS title game).
November 28th, 2020 at 7:51 AM ^
Which means Michigan will be the only game in which OSU will be in the spotlight. Likely Fields' last game. (But with OSU's luck you never know). As if they didn't have enough motivation.
November 27th, 2020 at 10:54 PM ^
Couple weeks to early...just like Wisconsin!
November 27th, 2020 at 11:26 PM ^
I bet osu still travels to champagne
November 27th, 2020 at 11:32 PM ^
I wonder who all from osu got it...
November 27th, 2020 at 11:38 PM ^
Cue the Bucknuts calling for the Commish's job. I'll take Buckeye tears any way I can get them.

ESPN all wrong.. Retract comment
November 28th, 2020 at 12:22 AM ^
So 91-DIVOC has been somehow getting data from the Big 10 schools. I figured it was just a matter of time before the Buckeyes got hit by this...
http://91-divoc.com/pages/covid-19-at-big-ten-conference-schools/
Data is kind of suspect, but we're best in the Big 10 right now..
November 28th, 2020 at 12:26 AM ^
At this point, OSU needs to shut it down for the season. As much as I'd like to see Day try to hang 100 on Harbaugh there's always next year.
November 28th, 2020 at 12:28 AM ^
I am legit shocked that this happened. Commence the 'fuck over OSU' plan.
November 28th, 2020 at 7:03 AM ^
November 28th, 2020 at 6:32 AM ^
Clearly UM must deploy a strategic covid outbreak on the team so that The Game is cancelled and OSU loses their shot at the CFP
