05/18/2018 - 7:54pm Buffalo trace bourbon and pizza

Marcos pizza in Toledo. It’s ok. The bourbon makes it bettee

04/26/2018 - 9:45pm Do you think he is thrilled about going to Cleveland?

Maybe more irony than karma. But I find it amusing he will start his pro career in Ohio where he will be given very little benefit of the doubt from fans in large part due to his flag planting.

04/26/2018 - 9:05pm Yes. And then Karma sent him to Cleveland

I find that amusing

04/14/2018 - 11:20pm Shoulda gone to State like Payne....

Then we’d have him for 4 years. Damn it Beilein, quit sending guys to the NBA early. Stunt them like Izzo

04/14/2018 - 10:31pm Lakers

Because Rob Pelinka.

03/31/2018 - 9:31pm Scotch scotch scotch...I love scotch

Here it goes down, down into my belly

03/18/2018 - 1:51am Kansas fans got to see this again

Watching the replay, some Kansas fans stuck around and got some deja vu

03/18/2018 - 1:20am Another Guinness for me..

I woke the kids up with my reaction. Sent them back to bed. They thought I was yelling at a burglar. Told them it was a st Patrick’s Day tradition to yell at midnight and drink Guinness. They can have lucky charms in the morning.

03/11/2018 - 8:33pm Yes. Kids will be in bed..

Screw work. I hate when the games are on while my kids are up. They don’t like sports and hog the tv with their Xbox. So school night means bedtime at 9:30. I get to watch in peace and quiet.

03/03/2018 - 8:17pm Need a new MGo T-shirt.. “you slap the floor, we’ll

Kick your a##

03/01/2018 - 10:40pm He and mo look like beavis and butthead..

While that may not seem flattering to some, I find it amusing to think of those two in the huddle snickering as Beilein says they need to stop the penetration.

03/01/2018 - 9:52pm Iowa was in the bonus over half the game

I think it was about 26 of 40 minutes. In the bonus at the 16 minute mark of second half, and about 10 minutes of first half. Yet still shot more ft’s than Iowa and played aggressive defense.

02/19/2018 - 4:29pm Know when to walk away, know when to run..

I have failed at many businesses, and been successful at a few. Enough to more than make up for the failures.First business was a failure, but I couldn’t let go and admit I needed to shut down. Threw away a lot of money and time with legal fees, debt restructuring and accounting fees when I should have shut the damn things down and moved on. Bankruptcy court is your ally. Use it if you must and understand the consequences if you do. Most of my successful business colleagues failed more often than not. But they get back up soon after and try again. Their universal advice to me was know when something is not working and change it, or let it go. It’s tough if you have family, but life is about taking risks.

02/09/2018 - 5:34pm Beer is the only concession I want

Even at pro stadium prices, I’ll splurge for the 32 oz-er that gets warm, but pro stadiums have cup holders so only 10% of beers end up on the person in front of the beer drinker. Wouldn’t work in the big house. But concessions are a general nuisance. I’m always having to let some dad out who returns with the 4 cup max holder and balancing a couple pizzas. Pro stadiums also have the advantage of having concession lounges where you can eat and still see the game on a tv or even off in the distance. I never get food at the big house. Tickets cost enough.

01/25/2018 - 5:12pm Here’s a tip

Make sure the channel on your tv is on a news channel or lifetime etc. I watch all games on dvr now to reduce time spent on commercials. I’ve had a few games ruined for me when I turn on the tv and ESPN has the score scroll by or is finishing the highlights.

01/01/2018 - 9:19pm Because defense doesn’t win championships

UM has been under this illusion for 40 years. Sure it’s nice to have a good defense. But even Alabama gives up points. The difference is in what your offense does in response. In 2006 we supposedly had a great defense, and then had two shootouts in the final 2 games and lost. So long as they approach football games with a defensive mentality, they will fall short. Time to bring back Yosts philosophy of point a minute offense. Stop playing sludge fart football

01/01/2018 - 2:30pm Anybody get a Lexus with a bow on it for Christmas?

Expectation and reality. Those people would be out chiseling with an ice scraper.,

01/01/2018 - 1:20pm Glad UM brought the MSU game plan out again

Nothing working. Needs overhaul. You can’t put this on the players anymore. There’s too many less talented big ten teams who showed they have the ability to score in this bowl season, and only um offense is looking inept.

12/12/2017 - 11:18pm Beilein beats shaka again.

It’s funny how we perceive these coaches. Shaka has the cool name, the up tempo style, yet Beilein just beats him like the old guy at the Y who just drains 3’s and owns the court against the young guys.

12/04/2017 - 9:44pm I seem to recall a really bad loss to OSU last year

And Michigan turned it around. Maybe this team won’t, I don’t know. I’ve seen less talented Beilein teams turn it around. The Zak Novak aneurysm year they were 1-6 in big ten and won it. So it’s frustrating, but basketball is weird. Need to find a rhythm and consistency. They get out of sync too easily this year, and that is the point guard issue and nobody to stop the hemorrhaging on the road.

12/02/2017 - 7:12pm Maybe not. No rematch issue

I worry that the committee wouldn’t want an Auburn Alabama rematch so soon. But Georgia hasn’t played Alabama, so that issue isn’t in play.

12/02/2017 - 6:25pm Great Lakes Christmas ale.

Start stocking up and it will get you through until the bowl games. Then get yourself in shape doing p90x3 until you lose 20 lbs. Then starting Memorial Day, drink all summer to prepare for sept 1 kickoff at Notre Dame and repeat.

10/08/2017 - 8:59am Tressel Ball while boring is effective

Dantonio learned well under tressel. Live to punt and let your opponent self destruct. This would have been a wise game plan for Michigan to try.

09/30/2017 - 9:00pm Saw a "Beat Rutgers" button today

I was at cedar point for halloweekends/ family/wifey weekend. Some woman decked out in OSU gear and buckeye necklace has a "Beat Rutgers" button. I first told her to quit picking on our "rival" and then told her she needed a point spread or a score on that button or else it was a bit redundant.

09/16/2017 - 12:03am Michigan 45 Air Force 16

Michigan 45. Air Force 16

09/10/2017 - 8:43pm Where does one find suitable pbp talent?

It's interesting our nostalgic views of old pbp broadcasters. Harwell, Ufer etc., but in this day and age, where do you find it? Look at news anymore. It's good looking dudes in suits and women who look like they could star late night on Cinemax. Or you get the Steven A's or Dickie V's who have their own style not suitable for anything else. Do you want Jamele Hill doing play by play? That combination of passion and talent is rare anymore in broadcast journalism, and as the old guard moves on, they will be hard to replace. Not sure if those in that profession who are truly talented are looking for a career in play by play

08/31/2017 - 8:09am Jump the shark

49-13

08/26/2017 - 11:04am season ticket for sale; premium seat

I have a season ticket in section 23 at the 50 yard line; mid 40's row. It is for one seat for each game. I don't want to try to find people to go with me this year as its a pain to try to coordinate, and my wife and kids dont like football. And most of my friends are Buckeye fans. But I'm still going to go to each game. So I am selling the other seat to anyone interested. $950 is what I am asking which is less than face value plus the seat license fee. Discounting because time is getting short. email me at [email protected] if interested.

I live in the Toledo OH area, so I can meet in Ann Arbor to exchange, or arrange something that works.

08/18/2017 - 9:56pm Who would win in a fight

...gator or shark

08/06/2017 - 9:32pm Pitbull isn't that bad

I like some of Pitbulls stuff.....and Pearl Jam is over rated. There I feel better.

08/06/2017 - 8:30am Rent an RV

Drive the RV and bring a fun but trustworthy relative/ friend. Leave said relative(s) with the little one to nap in the RV while you two go to the game. Provide said relative/ friend with food and tailgating experience as payment. Do not do this for State however.

07/13/2017 - 5:28pm Also Jack Harbaugh coached at perrysburg hs

Jim was a small boy at the time.

07/06/2017 - 2:11pm Fewer pieces the better

So as many have said, the Melissa and Doug stuff is good. My kids (3 total) still play with it, and their friends too. Not a lot of little pieces, simple and easy. And no friggin batteries. Nothing like having to unscrew the back of a toy that needs batteries. Things with lots of little pieces means hours of searching the couch cushions and looking under furniture. Also any toy that needs online registration is a NO. You will never remember the password and you will be paged endlessly to fix any IT glitches when the toy isn't working.

05/24/2017 - 1:52pm Rob pelinka UM connection and LA may be a fit

I suspect if the lakers have had any remote interest, that DJ would stay in the draft. Like Darius Morris, the chance to play for LA is in play and hard to pass up. Not that it will happen, but it's certainly not impossible to see that scenario play out.

05/11/2017 - 12:42pm 2 degrees from tOSU...

In state tuition trumps everything. Got two degrees from tOSU back in the 90's when the Fab 5 was in their prime and the Cooper era was in full bloom. It was great. Most of my dorm mates were cool with it. But they never let an opportunity to give he crap pass. Unfortunately I had to endure the Kordell Stewart debacle and the Chris Webber timeout, but otherwise things were fine. Until I came into class with a 1997 UM National Championship hat. Then it was more silent treatment. Glad I'm not there now. It would be insufferable.

04/03/2017 - 11:47pm That was just a game of attrition

And the final blow was the twisted ankle on the only player who could create a shot for gonzaga...who then proceeded to play hero ball for the last minute and a half. Overtime would have played with the deep bench. Just ugly.

03/29/2017 - 11:41pm Congrats. Welcome to parenthood

It's a great journey of imperfection. Good days will make the bad ones worth it. You will laugh at the bad days someday. Always remember the diaper bag when you take your child out. If you forget, you are guaranteed to have a diaper explosion. And be there for mom. She will worry about every little thing. Tell her it will be ok. Ignore 95% of internet advice

03/18/2017 - 9:04pm Rich rod in the front row

Looks like he's with his family

03/16/2017 - 9:59pm If his name were James Smith, nobody would know him

I contend his cool name gets him accolades. Always seems like an average player out there trying to live up to his hype.

03/12/2017 - 5:17pm Always believed in Belein, but stopped watching.

I stopped watching after Illinois. Didn't even waste a second on that OSU debacle or the Nebraska home game. Started watching again on dvr after Illinois game 2. Today I watched live for first time since Illinois 1. Forgive me Belein for I know not what I do.

02/23/2017 - 8:47pm Bacon ice cream. Enough said

Bacon ice cream. Enough said

01/25/2017 - 11:16am Brent was genuine. Not easy

Brent was genuine. Not easy these days when most are either too robotic, or try too hard and it's unnatural.

01/21/2017 - 9:43pm It will be interesting. Shane

It will be interesting. Shane has the tools. He spent two years under the tutelage of Harbaugh and jedd fisch. Now he can apply those things on the field and see if he can garner any NFL interest.

01/02/2017 - 1:13pm Not too surprised. Happens a

Not too surprised. Happens a lot in the real business world. Get another job, put in your "two weeks" notice, and if your relationship is great at the company, you get cards and gifts and a going away party. If said relationship is not so hot, they bring security down and escort you out and say "good luck, but we don't need a distraction around here." Lane seems likely to be focused more on himself than the task at hand.

As much as I'm enjoying this, this is two years in a row the big ten invitee got curb stomped in the playoff.

12/31/2016 - 12:13am So Speight didn't have a good

So Speight didn't have a good game. Yet he does things that we take for granted that are very good. That pass to Hill for the TD was outstanding. He has shown the ability to elude pressure. I remember Tom Brady struggling and everyone screaming for Henson. Young Qb's in pro style offenses take time. And going against a front like Florida st required solid o line and rb play and it wasn't there. He certainly wasn't accurate tonight, but given the injury and no jake butt, he struggled. Maybe peters beats him out, but there's enough good with Speight that UM can build on. If UM had dalvin cook, they probably win this game by 2 td's. But we just don't have that guy right now to relieve the constant pressure on our Qb no matter who we put on there.

12/23/2016 - 7:49am The scrolling of women's

The scrolling of women's basketball scores while watching men's basketball. Seeing a score that says something like Old Dominion 95 Kentucky 40 and having not seen the WCB scores come before it toys with my emotions too much. Lets make that WCB Scores more obvious people, or don't scroll them at all.

12/18/2016 - 9:12pm Interesting that Cassius

Interesting that Cassius Winston has 18 pts and 11 assists. Hope Simpson can start playing close to that level someday. No bridges tonight? Either way, early season college hoops is weird. Hope sparty struggles continue into the big ten season.
