Moe Wagner resigns with the Magic

Orlando Magic keep Moe Wagner on 2-year $16M contract.  It's good to see Moe finally being paid what he's due and he gets to remain playing with his brother...

"3rd Bass deals with the first place
Of where your mind is
The kind of stuff that you want to smoke blunts with
Take pictures, like Allen Funt would
Snapshots get the crack hot
Good to get it, but don't sweat it
Cause if you pursue she'll chalk the cue
And boom, stroke the 8 ball
Stick and run and we're having fun
Prickin' my cactus like I'm shooting my gun
Quickly 'til it explodes and I unload
The cactus"

Come on--3rd Bass deserves a 1000 upvotes.

I expected to read something like this:

”Orlando Magic forward Moe Wagner shocked his coaches and teammates by announcing he was quitting professional basketball. Appearing relaxed and upbeat, Wagner thanked Orlando fans for their support, but stated that he “no longer had a passion for the game” and believed it would be unfair to his teammates to remain on the team if he wasn’t 100% committed to playing.

When asked what his future plans were, Wagner revealed that he’s been a part owner of an organic dairy farm in Bavaria, Germany for the past three years, and is moving there in August to help run the farm with his two partners. Wagner said they plan to market a line of dairy products under the brand name of Moe’s Moo, with Jim Harbaugh and the University of Michigan football program being prominent early endorsers.

Wagner also stated that franchises would be set up in select locations in the midwest, with Ann Arbor being the flagship U.S. location to carry the premium German milk, cheese, and butter. Zingermans’s Delicatessen has already inked a deal to carry several of the non-GMO cheeses under the Moe’s Moo label, Wagner added.”

My parents (our family) saved two newspapers from my childhood.  "Nixon Resigns" and "Man Walks On Moon".   They were stored in dining table extension folding leaf so we saw them every holiday dinner.  Thank you for the memory.

Hopefully he can take some time off, spend it with his family, and come back and give basketball another shot once this whole fiasco blows over.

But yeah, good for Moe to carve out a spot in the NBA after a couple of years looking lost.  In particular I think he's figured out his role offensively and while he's never going to be a good defender he's got active hands and can stay in front of people often enough (especially against 2nd-teamers) to justify being out there.  Glad he's got a second contract and also gets to play with his brother for a bit more.

Well, it was that or face impeachment because he doesn't want to give up the rest of his tapes. Some folks believe it's all the Kennedy assassination references. What exactly was Moe Wagner doing in Dallas on November 22, 1963? He's never given a satisfactory answer for that.
