Meta: Sorry, I can't connect users anymore
As of today, I will no longer be taking requests to connect users.
This is a new policy because I don't have the time for it anymore. If you need to get in contact with another MGoUser you met on the site, DMs on social media work well for that sort of thing.
Historically I didn't mind forwarding an email request from one user to another, protecting privacy by leaving it up to the recipient if they wanted to connect back. I hate having to stop because prefer to be helpful and interact with the readership when possible--I was part of the MGocommunity before I ever got a paycheck from this site. The requests add up, however, and my inbox and work/life balance are already well out of control, so something had to give. Sorry it had to be something good.

It's always a big deal whether we're going to provide access to personal information to another person. Even allowing moderators access was a conversation.

Without knowing all the nuances of your structure it’s hard to say where that would fit but also at some point hiring practices need to account for non disclosure situations.

Seth, you have to set boundaries. Good job in doing so. Honestly, if people really want to connect, they can figure out a way to do so without involving you directly.
However, assuming Seth is reading this thread, several questions.
- Do you foresee a public service announcement regarding Brian's status with Mgoblog? All I'm asking is, will there be something public posted on whether or not Brian continue with Mgoblog? Yes/No will suffice. Note that I am NOT asking for any personal life details, which are none of my business anyway. Nor am I asking whether or not Brian will continue with Mgoblog, only whether or not there will be an announcement at some point.
- If such an announcement is forthcoming, approximately when? And from whom?
- If Brian is continuing with Mgoblog, approximately when might we expect to see content? August? Beginning of the season? Other? Unknown?
Brian's still around. We had a meeting recently about content for the rest of the summer, getting HTTV done, and how to split up content next fall.

In all seriousness, I have to believe a fair number of us are on some platform and probably not all that difficult to find, so if there is a need to finally plan that camping trip, well, I am sure it can be done. It might just be two or three people and FauxMo's avatar and a machete in the deep, impenetrable woods.
