Glad to see Haskins getting the recognition he deserves

Exactly. Here is the Big 10 link.
Scroll down to see the offensive players.

you know there was a bunch of shitting on UM in the past for bringing in rich suburban kids who were supposedly soft and not hungry and would get pushed around by scrappy kids.
say that again, now, to stuebers face

One of the unfairly maligned "New England Guys"!
December 1st, 2021 at 12:15 PM ^
I can only assume that Petit-Frere and Munford looked much, much better in the first 11 weeks?
December 1st, 2021 at 12:16 PM ^
Iowa’s C is being projected in the top 10 of some NFL mocks so makes sense but I’d imagine Vastardis has got to be the 2nd team choice. Imagining Blake Corum and Erick All have to get nods in the 2nd or 3rd team as well.
December 1st, 2021 at 12:24 PM ^
Vastardis, Hayes, and Zinter were second team. No All or Corum yet.
December 1st, 2021 at 12:31 PM ^
McNamara and Corum third team.
December 1st, 2021 at 12:46 PM ^
Not even getting third-team is a real snub for All. I'm going to go full Michigan Man and say kids today don't value blocking enough
December 1st, 2021 at 2:15 PM ^
Four offensive linemen either first or second team Big 10? That should be a tremendous help to Sherrone Moore in recruiting.
December 1st, 2021 at 12:20 PM ^
How can the BIG determine a 1st team list when some are only coaches, some are only media, and less than half are choices by both?
December 1st, 2021 at 12:24 PM ^
4 tackles and just 3 receivers is odd too lol
December 1st, 2021 at 12:26 PM ^
It looks weird because BTN just combined the separate media and coaches lists into one graphic.
December 1st, 2021 at 12:22 PM ^
II know it was one game but can't help but laugh at Petit-Frere and Munford being included after Saturday.
December 1st, 2021 at 12:34 PM ^
Petit-Frere joins Nick Ward in the “Opponents forever remembered for their highlight-reel humiliation” category.
December 1st, 2021 at 12:40 PM ^
Petit-Frere is the ultimate in "Little Brother" names.
December 1st, 2021 at 3:51 PM ^
Hutch treated him like a redheaded adopted one that poisoned the family dog.
December 1st, 2021 at 12:23 PM ^
Erick All absolutely deserved a spot on that list
December 1st, 2021 at 1:58 PM ^
The most complete tight end in conference history. Change my mind.
December 1st, 2021 at 2:05 PM ^
He is on the list as Honorable Mention.
December 1st, 2021 at 12:34 PM ^
JSN not being on this list makes this list meaningless - he is the best slot in the country and there is no #2 that I can think of.
How could anyone watch OSU play this year and have Chris Olave over JSN? I guess they made it a lifetime achievement award.
December 1st, 2021 at 1:11 PM ^
Both Wilson and Smith-Njigba were better than Olave this year. I guess these voters don't watch enough games
December 1st, 2021 at 1:29 PM ^
These lists often are lifetime achievement awards with seniors often getting the nod if it looks close.
December 1st, 2021 at 12:34 PM ^
Warinner is responsible for our good OL personnel, and he had Faaele to Minnesota but for whatever reason he wasn't a take here and didn't follow him here. Wonder why.
December 1st, 2021 at 12:35 PM ^
I didn’t realize Daniel Faalele turned out to be all conference.
December 1st, 2021 at 12:35 PM ^
Not too late to Cyan the OSU OL, Big Ten.
December 1st, 2021 at 12:43 PM ^
Should I be as surprised as I am that All isn't on this list? How good are these other dudes (Ferguson and Allen). We played both of those teams and I don't recall being super impressed with what they did.
December 1st, 2021 at 12:49 PM ^
In the All B1G defense thread yesterday I stated that I assumed Stueber, All and hopefully Haskins, would be first team. I still think All should have been there
December 1st, 2021 at 12:51 PM ^
I love All as much as the next guy, but these awards are mostly about stats. All's contributions weren't stats. He was absolutely worthy as what he did the other guys probably don't match. But truth be told, he doesn't have stats so he doesn't get the votes. Sad.
December 1st, 2021 at 1:18 PM ^
I get that they probably grade on stats but this dude can do both. Sad that he was only a HM on both coaches and media teams.
December 1st, 2021 at 4:27 PM ^
All should absolutely be on one of the teams not honorable mention. I’d have him at least second team his stats were decent enough but his blocking was superb. I’m surprised that the Oline and Corum didn’t get more love than they did.
December 1st, 2021 at 12:47 PM ^
Ohio should have had at least one more on this team. Wilson or JSN. Or maybe them over Olave and Dotson.
December 2nd, 2021 at 7:17 AM ^
I will forever be a David Bell fan.
He abused MSU and helped put us in the Big Ten Championship Game.
December 1st, 2021 at 12:52 PM ^
Have watched a ton of big ten football this year I feel like Dotson, Smith-Njigda, and Wilson were all better then Olave. I feel like him getting first time was based on reputation.
December 1st, 2021 at 12:55 PM ^
These awards stink, the 3rd best OSU WR only makes the coaches all-conference team, the other 2 do not make it. The other 2 are better
December 1st, 2021 at 1:00 PM ^
They could have easily just put all three OSU wrs on that list and I wouldn't have argued.
December 1st, 2021 at 1:22 PM ^
Here's all the Data.
December 1st, 2021 at 1:35 PM ^
The counting stats have been nice and all, but it's still hilarious to me that OSU has had the All-B1G QB for both the media and coaches every year since 2013, except 2015 when Connor Cook won it.
December 1st, 2021 at 1:58 PM ^
I do wonder if at some point the OSU guys start getting labeled as "system" QBs to an extent because they all put up gaudy numbers and then when they go to the NFL the general consensus is "man, these guys have a lot of work to do" when it comes to being able to read defenses and handle pressure. Stroud's young so he has potential to improve but it has been an assembly line of these guys since Meyer came to town and basically all of them have underwhelmed when they don't have huge talent advantages over their opponents.
December 1st, 2021 at 2:12 PM ^
They already have; just look at Fields. Dropping all the way to 11, when many considered him a top 2 or 3 talent? Dwayne Haskins looking like an early bust didn't do him any favors, and Fields paid the price on Draft day...
December 1st, 2021 at 2:05 PM ^
It makes sense. Elite QB play wins championships. Think about our struggles with OSU over that time, and how those struggles have coincided with our struggles at QB. Think about Clemson, despite all the 4 and 5* recruits, when they don't have an NFL 1st Round QB (Watson and then Lawrence).
Also, think about the overall sad sack of QB play the B1G has had over that span. It's not like OSU has had much competition, and Durkin and Don Brown absolutely feasted on bad QB play...
December 1st, 2021 at 2:08 PM ^
Just curious, why is that hilarious? Honest question.
December 1st, 2021 at 1:48 PM ^
Congratulations Hassan Haskins and Andrew Stueber !! So very much deserved.
December 1st, 2021 at 2:39 PM ^
What if.......Haskins had been a feature back all season, instead of just the last four games?
Stats for the last four games: 26.5 carries for 143yds/game and 2tds per game. Over a 12 game season that would total 318 carries, 1,716 yds, 24 tds. Well over what KWIII had this season and just under the UM single season rushing(1,818) and td(26) records.
I don’t know that those numbers would have been achieved (or even possibly exceeded) if Haskins had been THE rb every game, or even if Michigan would have lost a game or two more because of that, but it’s interesting to look at and wonder “what if?”
December 1st, 2021 at 3:54 PM ^
Indeed. But I miss lightning and thunder. Can't wait to get it back for the playoffs.
December 2nd, 2021 at 7:10 AM ^
Hey how about our two young DTs Mazi and Hinton rounding into form and getting mention!
Their development this year should not be underestimated in our defensive performance.
