Also

Harbaugh said Jabrill Peppers who is "working through something" has been practicing. He didn't give up much on Peppers though

It would make a lot more sense, if he's up to that weight, to move him to DT/SDE.

Just because he was a TE, doesn't mean he's a great blocker and can be an OT. Doesn't mean he's a pass rusher either - except for the fact that many folks had him pegged for DL long before they thought he'd be a TE.

Also, Baylor has a 400lb TE. Not sure a 290 TE is that big of a deal if he can truly play the position.

Over guys who've been playing the position for quite some time and earned playing time as true freshman?

He's going to have to be REALLY good to play over someone like that. Newsome arrived in the summer and pushed LTT for the backup LT spot. I personally think he only lost because it was a tie and you may as well have him redshirt in that case.

LTT out and coaches didn't hesitate to burn his redshirt and play him in ever game afterwards.

No question he won't be sitting. He was rumored to be the #2 TE over AJ Williams before he got hurt this fall.

And those are practices that matter, not bowl practices.

But if he can throw 90 yards, there would be rumors he'd be the next battleship. I mean we can toss around "maybes" if we want. But let's get some concrete evidence before we run with it.

Now I'm not saying it's out of the question, he's built like a LT, no question...it's not like we're talking about Freddy Canteen playing LT. I'm not arguing that. I'm just saying, just because he's a big boy, IMO...doesn't make him a lock to be on the OL.

Untill I hear that he's practicing at OT in practices that mean something, as in, the non expirimentation practices or non scout team practies (where they put you ANYWHERE if you can emulate someone on the other team) - then I'll think he's a TE.

Because he was recruited at DT/DE, I'll think his next best spot is there until I hear, Wheatley is moving to OL. Which again, isn't far fetched. I just want to hear it outside of early bowl practices where guys are trying new position all over the field.

There was a rumor posted on MLive that he had punched a wall and injured his hand and was wearing a cast on campus...... but I have no idea if it was ever confirmed.  None of the beat writers seem to know, or if they do, they're not talking.

UGH! Are we already overloaded on QBs? The best QB to EVER come out of New Mexico can't even make it to spring at the position??? That frustrates me, a little...
