Going to out scheme JH? How about Nick, we know he dominated the NFL, he gonna out maneuver JH?

1. Tennessee was decimated by injuries and down at least 8-9 starters in that game. It showed.
2. Tennessee was not prepared for Bama's zone read and QB run plays. Bama abused it because Saban/Kiffin realized that Tennessee couldn't stop it.

Mike Debord has an impact on both sides of the ball!

The Bama love is off the charts. Rightfully so - they've been there for a long time and aren't going away anytime soon. But jeez! Watching the various talking heads shows yesterday (and this morning), they all go into detail how Bama just suffocates teams in the second half. How they can adjust at HT; how they can bring the next man up without losing a beat; how they are just sooo much better than anyone else.
Then they spend 10 seconds showing the Train formation (with Mack Brown saying Harbaugh "just picked that up from Bo Schembechler this morning"), and then move on to the next game. Should we be lucky enough to draw Bama at some point, I bet they are 7 point favorites, with the heads saying they doubt UM can stay with them all day.

I find it very weird considering how much attention Michigan got during the offseason for various things

Wouldn't you rather have it that way?
Let them puff up Bama and whatever flavor of the week all they want.
As long as Michigan wins its next six games, we'll be in the playoff and can settle it on the field, rather than in the TV studio.

At 3-4, will they finally drop out? Have an irrationally, rational hatred of those guys.

Well, S&P is out and Michigan stayed #1, while Louisville leapfrogged Alabama for #2.

And Michigan has beaten 3 top 17 teams rather soundly in Wisconsin(10), PSU(16), and Colorado(17). Iowa is the toughest game remaining before OSU and they are (42).

#1 Michigan
#24 Western Michigan
#79 Eastern Michigan
#81 Michigan State
#83 Central Michigan
I am dying laughing right now.

I was just trying to edit and add that they were 2 spots from being the worst team in MIchigan. Also, they are our worst remaining opponent on the schedule, behind Maryland, Iowa, and Indiana.

They had Michigan #4 in their Power Rankings last week. They have been the lowest on Michigan all season. At least this week, some of their voters finally gave up and moved Michigan up. 5 of their 12 voters have Michigan #2 now.
Rod Gilmore had Michigan #7 last week. #7!!!
The outliers this week:
Rod Gilmore, Danny Kanell, Ryan McGee, and Edward Aschoff all have Michigan #4. Edward Aschoff has Michigan #4 below Louisville.

Few people care or even look at the ESPN rankings, and there are 12 voters. Some of them have just been ridiculously low on Michigan this year until this point (Rod Gilmore, Danny Kanell, Edward Aschoff, Ryan McGee, and Heather Dinich).
And the distance between Clemson & Michigan is razor thin now, mirroring what happened in the Coaches Poll.

Does anyone remember the web site that had the advanced stats which you could select by team and it showed the team's ranking in all kinds of offensive, defensive and special teams stats? I know this is a stupid-sounding question, because there are a lot of sites with this, but it was something like footballhuddle or some such...

at the end of week 8 in the 2014 season, Michigan was 3-5 after getting blown out by MSU.
Week 8 of 2016 is a LOT more fun.
So far at least, Harbaugh's turn around of Michigan in year 2 is as good as Saban and Carroll's year 2 turn arounds at Alabama and USC. By some measures Harbaugh's turn around is even better.
Keep it rolling and crush Sparty.

Was talking to a friend about it last night, so I looked up rankings at the time we played.
In 2011, we were ranked and they were unranked but I don't really count that, because, well - it was a dumb year.
In 1999, we were ~10 and they were unranked.
The last time both teams were ranked and we were higher was in 1997.
We back.
