Although....a dolphin which predicted the timing of spring would actually be a nice change of pace. Quite honestly, I am in the same boat as you - Punxsutawney Phil really does get on my nerves, especially when he predicts an early spring where he is and here in Michigan there is about 20 inches of snow on the ground.

Using the parallax theory, the Michigan ball was approximately 4 feet closer to Flipper at the time of his departure from the dock. Not suggesting Flipper is lazy, it just leaves open for debate the validity of the whole affair.
