I cannot imagine McSharky keeping an inexperienced rattled non-mobile QB like Franks going past halftime if he's sacked and rushed at least 10 times.  Zaire at least stretches the field with his legs and gives them variety and some unpredictability.  Gary and Hurst might be fasting until game time when they plan to have dinner.

10 players suspended - your two best offensive playmakers and depth at WR and OT - out! Your redshirt frosh QB who has accuracy issues and happy feet is starting for an offensive coordinator who is bad protected by an OL that is suspect. Dr Brown going to launch some missiles at Mr Frank ... meet the blitzkrieg from Hell - Bush, Hudson, McCray coming in a gap nearest to you. Good luck with that on top of the crazy-ass stunts from Mo / Rashan and edge pressure from Chase. Cheez I am excited. --- Go Blue!

Think this was the best case for us.  I still have a semi-irrational pavlovian fear of running QBs built up from decades of watching us get shredded, so I'll take the classic drop back guy every day.  Especially the inexperienced classic drop back guy with a meh O Line versus Gary and Hurst and Chase.

I disagree. Brown knows how to handle that stuff, and guy who tucks and runs has to deal with guys like Hudson and McCray and Gary chasing him down (Gary is faster than Deshaun Watson and Vince Young!). They can't sustain an offense that way. Michigan's vulnerability is in the secondary. You need a guy who can hit longer passes to really punish this. Franks gives them the best chance to expose Michigan's weakness. Not that it necessarily matters, but there it is. Michigan is under a lot of pressure to win here.

I wouldn't write him off completely.  And I think this is a good move from UFs stand point.  Build for the future, unless Zaire was completly lights out.

Kind of feel for a player like Zaire though.

for UM, but the second-best u in the SEC. I am hoping my daughter earns a free ride there on our state scholarship program. (My wife teaches at FSU.) Jorts notwithstanding, it has some strong programs. (I did my doctorate there, only place I applied.) Top ten Latin American Studies programs, perhaps unsurprisingly. Top ten anthro program. Top ten Ecology program.

Not being defensive, but the school struggled through 30% budget cuts after 2008 and still maintained its standing. And as with M, the very large alumni network hurts when the football program is bad.

I grew up in A2, and have never been able to bring myself to root for UF in anything, despite the fact that my wife's whole family went there. I won't be surprised if McElwain is gone this year or next; my brother-in-law, who knows people who know people ( :)) says he is on thin ice.

Hounds?. Brown is going to unleash the scariest, nastiest boogeyman that ever entered your subconcious and made you never want to go to sleep ever again. I will be surprised if Franks makes it to halftime. There will be no mercy in this game. Florida should learn to keep there yaps shut.

I went over to florida.247sports.com to check this out and found this gem from one of their writers.

It's going to be a by committee thing, I believe. Zach Gentry is a potential matchup problem, he's a very good athlete and is super tall. But Ian Bunting and Tyrone Wheatley Jr. will both play too and might get more looks. I don't see any glaring mismatches with Michigan's tight ends.

I sense this is bad news. This means he is better than last year's starter and their shiny new transfer.

UM's corners are going to be tested. Felippo Franks spine is going to be tested. Zaire can't throw the ball and I highly doubt he knows the playbook. It has never ever mattered who Florida is playing. Michigan's d-line will dominate everyone and Michigan will smash Florida. Michigan is a violent football team. I would'nt doubt that Nordin knocks someone out of the game. LOL.

Going to have a few small heart attacks each time Franks slings one 40 yards downfield

But this is good. A freshman QB without his leading WR and starting RB against our tenacious D-line.

Our young secondary will have plenty of oppurtunities for INTS

Franks changed his twitter bio to "Hard work beats talent when talent doesnt want to work hard"

Pretty sure thats a shot at Zaire lol. This Florida is a fricking MESS
