Big news, hot off the presses, Josh Conerly will be in town

Good news! Go Blue. Beat Ohio.
November 24th, 2021 at 2:19 PM ^
Don't know why, but sp ck changed that to the.
November 24th, 2021 at 4:24 PM ^
"sp ck" will get ya every time!

Someone that’s going to Bama
November 24th, 2021 at 2:59 PM ^
Josh Conerly is favored to go to Mich, no?
November 24th, 2021 at 3:05 PM ^
2 balls for UM, 2 for Washington
November 25th, 2021 at 7:51 AM ^
With the two more recent ones being to Michigan. And (obviously) before Washington fired their coach. Let’s not forget, when the crystal balls are placed can be just as significant (probably more so) than who they’re placed for.

Get off my plane
November 24th, 2021 at 3:24 PM ^
Not sure if this is an attempt at gallows humor or in respect to the other 5-star OL coming to the game - Goodwin - who most likely will end up at 'Bama (though Sparty thought they had a chance at the flip................. lol)

Mike Jones!
November 24th, 2021 at 6:12 PM ^
Lame. If you really cared who, you'd just use Google.
November 24th, 2021 at 7:48 PM ^
Lame. If someone wants to make a message board post about a recruit, they should assume that not everybody follows recruiting that closely and put some information about who they are.
November 24th, 2021 at 8:41 PM ^
That's not what I said, is it? How did you even connect those dots? That's impressively horrible.
I said responding "who?" when you could very easily answer your own question via Google is lame.
And if you were seriously interested in getting more information and not willing to get it yourself, you could easily ask as much...not "who?"
November 24th, 2021 at 3:01 PM ^
Based on that article, looks like Berry and Conerly really favor Michigan at this point.
Win The Game and finish strong!
Go Blue!
November 24th, 2021 at 3:16 PM ^
Oregon and Michigan are neck and neck for Berry, but with Michigan getting this official visit, Michigan is widely expected to capture the lead (Berry has already taken his OV to Oregon). We could still screw it up, but it is easy to be optimistic.
Michigan firmly took the lead for Conerly after his visit for the Washington game, but that was 2 months ago at this point. He's taken other visits in the meantime and other contenders have caught up. Him taking this visit could be what we need to put this away for good.
November 24th, 2021 at 3:02 PM ^
That is big news, in more ways than one. Hope he has a great visit and sees a great game.

Wow, A2 on a fall weekend with The Game on Saturday - that’s a perfect setting. Nice to know some top recruits still see it as an event that they want to experience.
Conerly, Jackson and Berry would be a great trio but even 1-2 would be excellent. Go Blue.
November 24th, 2021 at 5:53 PM ^
Winter weekend - if he is coming for the weather Saturday will send him elsewhere.
November 24th, 2021 at 6:10 PM ^
Are you related to Coach Richt?

Supposed to be 35 and nice
won’t be an

November 24th, 2021 at 8:40 PM ^
There is no such thing as 35 and nice lol

I prefer it to 90
But I don’t like the heat
November 25th, 2021 at 7:53 AM ^
He’ll probably just be glad it’s not raining like it is in Seattle every day this week…
November 24th, 2021 at 4:02 PM ^
Is anything "hot off the presses" anymore considering the interwebs and all? Maybe "Fresh off the computer screen burning my retina" is more appropriate?

Hot link from news feed?

I really like this defensive class if we can hold onto the guys we have. Walker and Berry would be great additions.
Conerly will be huge for what is an underwhelming offensive class.
November 24th, 2021 at 5:54 PM ^
Thinking about it in that sense is actually somewhat comforting to me. Because if you’re able to put together a really strong offensive class in 2023 to go along with 2021’s potentially great offensive class, it really makes this year’s subpar class less of a big deal. But if you can still get a strong defensive class out of it then maybe the overall class rankings don’t necessarily give the whole story.
November 24th, 2021 at 6:14 PM ^
Yeah, and offensively it checks most the boxes: a QB, solid RB in Stokes, solid WR in Morris, two solid TEs, and and three OL with a range of abilities. If we could add another skills player or two that would help.

Eat the what?
November 24th, 2021 at 6:56 PM ^
Webb said Conerly isn't coming this weekend. Plans got changed and he is going to Oregon instead. Sounds like it was a flight issue.
November 24th, 2021 at 7:25 PM ^
Mentioned a couple weeks ago that we led for Conerly but local options are catching up. I actually mentioned that UM was ever-so-slightly trending down there. I'd actually bet on Oregon or Washington if he doesn't make another trip back to AA. To do so would obviously be on a non-gameday so I'm not sure what else you could learn on that kind of trip across country. Then again, it can be better if the missed visit is a game where you get blown-out by your rival. That's the risk of bringing anyone of consequence in for The Game when you've won that game twice in the last 20 years. We'll see.
Berry is the big name in this class to watch out for this weekend, IMO.
November 24th, 2021 at 8:32 PM ^
Why does it seem every recruit we lead with starts trending elsewhere after a 10-1 season so and all our goals in our own hands…I can’t make sense of it.
November 25th, 2021 at 3:32 AM ^
It really is kind of mystifying. It’s hard not to wonder if this is NIL related.
November 25th, 2021 at 7:57 AM ^
Or as the process goes along and the prospect of leaving your friends, family, and everything you’ve ever known becomes real, you realize you don’t want to travel across the country to go to school.
Not everything is about the team’s record or “NIL issues,” which are still empty claims from pessimistic fans that have no idea what they’re talking about in the first place.
November 24th, 2021 at 8:44 PM ^
Doesn’t Washington like not have a coach and stuff?
November 24th, 2021 at 9:08 PM ^
EJ Holland now also reporting this... premium content so I don't know what reason he gives.
November 25th, 2021 at 3:29 AM ^
Sounds like a flight issue.
Given what BooKooBlue says below, it’s not a flight issue as much as it is a cost issue, which makes more sense.
November 25th, 2021 at 8:14 AM ^
Dad said their HS team got knocked out earlier than expected. They hadn't planned on taking any trips this early. When they tried to get last minute flights to Detroit the cost was too expensive due to the holidays. Conerly has already taken his OV so the cost was on the family.
November 25th, 2021 at 10:17 AM ^
Does Ross have a G5 he can send out to Washington?
November 24th, 2021 at 11:03 PM ^
Very athletic big man. Yes, please. Needs to eat a few Big Kahuna burgers though.
November 25th, 2021 at 8:33 PM ^
He's not coming anymore.
Flights cost too much and he used his OV for the Washington game.
