I had a colonoscopy a few years ago (in my 30s) to rule out anything serious when I started having some random stomach issues out of nowhere.
I was nervous about the prep because typically if you have diarrhea it only takes 2 or 3 bowel movements before you are raw and burning. So knowing there was going to be many bowel movements during prep, I was worried about how painful it might be and wondering if I was going to end up bleeding - not to mention the typical stomach cramps that come with diarrhea.
From my experience, none of that was an issue. I’d imagine this is where your diet leading up to the prep helps play a role. But I believe I ended up having about 15 bowel movements that night/morning and never felt very raw. Additionally, I didn't get any of the stomach cramps. It was just an, “oh, I have to go” feeling, you sit down, give a little push and it literally pisses out.
Don't get me wrong - it’s no fun. It becomes physically and mentally exhausting going that many times not to mention the crap you have to drink. I had a couple of bouts of nausea. But it wasn’t nearly as bad as I had imagined.
And like others have said - the procedure itself is oddly enjoyable. Being put under was very soothing and you wake up as high as a kite - I couldn’t stop laughing for about 10 minutes.
I get that it’s a risk because we don’t know how Sherrone will work out without Harbaugh and I know that it’s pretty careless to just hire him without considering outside options, but at this point I’m hoping that they just hire him immediately and let the roster know that they’re fully on board with attempting to keep the culture and program rolling as is.
I remember watching this event in 97 when I was 10. I believe it may have been on UPN 50. They did a video tribute to the defense with Matchbox 20’s Push playing.
Now here we are again 26 years later doing it again!
And If I’m not mistaken, beating Washington in 21 to kickoff this amazing ride we’ve been riding was the start of the big game blues. So now it can come full circle.
Do I think Michigan’s scouting and development has been elite recently? Clearly.
And do I believe that there are likely to be kids in this class who blow past their current rankings? Absolutely.
Am I still a little concerned? I am.
3 straight years of CFP appearances and beating Ohio State and we’re sitting on the 17th and 15th ranked classes. Let’s just call it like it is - it’s underwhelming.
And while there’s something to be said about buying players vs the culture that has been built here, at the end of the day talent wins more often than not.
And keep in mind that the classes that make up this current starting lineup that has us competing for a Natty - 9th, 10th, and 13th - were all ranked higher than this 2024 class and the 2023 class. So I apologize if back-to-back classes potentially outside of the top 15 doesn’t make me feel particularly great.
Didn’t love it from a filmmaking standpoint. I think some current commentary mixed in would have been more effective. The Fab Five doc blew this one out of the water.
It really is, particularly the pass protection, and Dallas Turner is a serious problem.
Bama also has talented corners. If Michigan is put in obvious passing downs it could be a rough go.
But maybe the even bigger concern for me is Alabama’s offense. Both their O-line and Milroe have come a long way since September. Milroe is very dangerous on the ground, but now he is also looking like an actual QB, which he didn’t to start the season. Michigan’s defense has obviously been great this year and have legit talent, but they’ve also only faced 1 or 2 offenses worth a damn this season. The B1G offenses were beyond awful. And the one annual juggernaut downgraded from Stroud to McCord.
Michigan is still a slight favorite and can obviously win, but they’re going to have to show up with their “A” game. And there’s been enough flaws shown to have concerns.
But can’t wait, because this group has overcome every obstacle so far.

I roll my eyes when they talk about how many NFL lineman Michigan has. Barnhart is not a NFL player. And he’s going to make it difficult to win it all with his current play.
They won’t, but they should seriously consider opening up the RT battle again this week.
Barnhart simply isn’t it and Ohio State has two solid ends who can flash at an elite level.
McCord isn’t Stroud, but Penn State doesn’t haven’t anything close to Harrison and Egbuka. And there were some plays to be made in the air today with better QB/WR play.
Point being I don’t think we can not throw the ball at all vs Ohio State and win like we did today or even against Ohio State in 2021.
McCarthy will have to make some plays through the air, but Barnhart will not give him time at his current level of play.
Playing not to lose on the road when you have a JJ McCarthy is playing with fire. You need more points. Asking for the defense to win the game isn’t fair.

I can’t leave Dax off the list, considering he spent time at safety as well. Put him where you have Paige and I think the defense is spot on.
Offensively, I don’t think Stueber vs Barnhart is all that difficult a decision. Stueber was better.

Penn State’s offense and passing game is far from elite. Great to elite offenses will be able to move the ball and find the endzone.
Our entire offensive game plan during the 2nd half was the direct result of us not respecting Penn State’s offense.
